Man in his 90s dies in crash
A man in his 90s has died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash.
Police were called to reports of a white Fiat Panda leaving the carriageway in Closworth, near Yeovil in Somerset, on Wednesday at around 10:35 BST.
The driver was taken to hospital, where he later died. There were no passengers in the car, Avon and Somerset Police said.
The force asked anyone with dashcam footage showing the vehicle before the collision, which was being driven along Sutton Hill towards the A37 junction, to get in touch.

Man in his 20s dies after two-vehicle collision
A man in his 20s has died following a two-vehicle collision. Avon and Somerset Police said the crash happened at about 23:35 BST on 20 June in Uphill Road North in Weston-super-Mare. The force said a red Audi A3 was heading towards Uphill when it collided with a purple Mercedes C240 travelling in the opposite direction, near the junction for Moorland Road. The Audi driver sustained serious injuries and died in hospital on Saturday. Police said the Mercedes driver, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Uphill Road North was closed to allow for an investigation and recovery work but reopened on Saturday morning. Anybody who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the force. Knife-wielding robbers caught in south Essex by sharp-nosed police dog
A TRIO of knife-wielding robbers have been arrested by police in Thurrock following a search by a police helicopter, dog and multiple officers. Essex Police received reports of a robbery in Chadwell St Mary at around 4pm on Friday, with the suspects using a moped to carry out their crime. Officers in the area were able to track the group to Tilbury with the help of helicopter air support. Shawano man federally indicted on production of child pornography charge
A Shawano man was indicted on a federal charge of using a minor child to produce child pornography. Here's what to know about the case. Brandon Boogren, 29, of Shawano. Boogren is charged in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin with one count of producing child pornography. According to a criminal complaint: On June 3, the Milwaukee and Green Bay offices of the FBI received a lead from the FBI in Houston about a WhatsApp conversation involving Boogren. The conversation, which occurred on May 16, 2019, involved discussion about Boogren making pornographic videos of a minor. Later in the day, Boogren sent four videos which depicted sexually explicit conduct between him and a girl who was 1½-years-old at the time. In an interview with FBI and police, Boogren admitted that one time in 2019 there was sexually explicit contact between him and the girl in the videos. Boogren is scheduled to appear in court in Green Bay June 24 for a preliminary examination, according to court records. If he is convicted, Boogren faces a mandatory 15 years in prison and up to 30 years in prison, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.
