Rachel Zegler wears Paolo Sebastian gown inspired by Disney's 1937 classic at the Tokyo premiere of 'Snow White'
Rachel Zegler captivated audiences at the Tokyo premiere of Snow White in a custom Paolo Sebastian gown that pays elegant tribute to the original 1937 Disney classic.
The couture gown brings to life the haunting 'daggered heart box' motif carried by the Evil Queen. Crafted from Italian tulle, the white strapless ball gown features a caged corset bodice with exposed boning and took 250 hours to complete by hand.
At the centre of the gown sits a bejewelled heart made entirely of crimson and garnet Swarovski crystals, pierced by a dagger formed from two mirror shards—an homage to the Queen's 'Magic Mirror.'
'This custom couture gown brings to life the iconic 'heart box' motif from the original 1937 classic,' said Creative Director Paul Vasileff. 'The daggered heart on the Evil Queen's heart box is such a powerful icon from the Disney film archive. It's a symbol of the dark fate that awaits Snow White, as well as one of triumph when the huntsman tricks his own queen.'
Vasileff added, 'Rachel's beauty and strength in reimagining this beloved role proved our ultimate inspiration—celebrating our heroine overcoming the ultimate evil.'
Completing Zegler's red carpet look were pointed white heels adorned with matching red hearts, and a flowing red hooded opera coat made from Italian silk faille—both echoing the fairytale's visual drama.
While the Tokyo premiere dazzled with fantasy and symbolism, insiders told The Daily Mail that the UK will not receive a cinematic celebration for the film's upcoming release. Instead, Disney is reportedly keeping publicity low-key, anticipating potential backlash.
Disney's live-action Snow White is set to be released in theatres on March 21, 2025.

Phineas and Ferb reboot explained as creators reveal why show still resonates with fans
The beloved animated series Phineas and Ferb has officially returned, driven by years of continued fan enthusiasm and streaming success. According to creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh, the show has consistently performed well in reruns and remains a top title on Disney+. 'It's a very rewatchable show, which I'm thankful for,' Povenmire told The Hollywood Reporter. After their 2020 film Candace Against the Universe proved successful, Disney surprised the creators with a 40-episode order—bringing both veteran and first-time writers back into an energized creative process. The new team includes a mix of original writers and young adults who grew up watching the show, now contributing fresh ideas to the franchise. Since its 2007 debut, Phineas and Ferb has amassed over 12.6 billion hours of viewership. Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, praised its lasting appeal across generations, noting its blend of humor, music, and nostalgia that continues to engage longtime fans and new audiences alike. From the beginning, Povenmire and Marsh set out to create a family-friendly show rooted in kindness and intelligence. They avoided mean-spirited characters and embraced clever writing. 'We chose to keep smart jokes in, even if some might go over kids' heads,' Marsh noted, 'because the show is meant to appeal to the whole family.' The new season doesn't introduce major new characters, but existing ones like news reporter Dink Winkerson are given more depth. Fans may also notice subtle updates—like a new stripe on Phineas' shirt and an upgraded phone for Candace. Season 5 of Phineas and Ferb is now streaming on Disney+, offering the same heart and creativity that made the show a hit—with a few fun twists for sharp-eyed viewers.

Rachel Zegler helps diffuse a situation involving a fan and her bodyguard at the 'Evita' stage door: 'Please don't disrespect my Danny' — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) June 23, 2025 As the fan pushed back, Zegler responded affectionately yet firmly: 'I know babe, and I love you so much, but please don't disrespect my Danny, okay?' referring to her bodyguard by name. The moment quickly went viral, with viewers applauding Zegler's calm and respectful stance. One comment that resonated widely read, 'Please don't disrespect my Danny is everything.' Midjourney AI: Midjourney launches first AI video tool to animate images
Midjourney has launched its first public video generation tool, allowing users to create animated clips from still images. The new feature, announced on Midjourney's website, enables the generation of five-second videos from either uploaded images or those created within the Midjourney platform. Once an image is selected, an 'animate' button appears, offering a standard motion option or a manual setting for customising movement. The animation can be extended in four-second increments, with a maximum length of 21 seconds. Motion settings allow users to determine whether the subject, the camera, or both are animated. The feature is currently limited to subscribers, with plans starting at $10 (USD) per month. Introducing our V1 Video Model. It's fun, easy, and beautiful. Available at 10$/month, it's the first video model for *everyone* and it's available now. — Midjourney (@midjourney) June 18, 2025 Midjourney says the cost of video generation is approximately eight times higher than that of image rendering, equating to roughly one image's worth of cost per second of video. The launch comes amid an ongoing copyright lawsuit filed by Disney and Universal. The two entertainment companies argue that Midjourney's training process may have included unauthorised use of copyrighted works. Legal filings specifically flagged the video tool as a concern, with plaintiffs describing the company's output as a 'virtual vending machine' for unlicensed content. Midjourney founder David Holz described the release as 'a stepping stone' in the company's development of real-time, open-world simulation models. The startup is one of several firms racing to develop AI-powered video tools, with competitors such as Google, OpenAI, and Meta also releasing systems that generate video content from text prompts. Social media users have been sharing their first reactions, including early videos, with many hailing it as a 'game-changer'. It's (almost) flawless: — Alex Patrascu (@maxescu) June 19, 2025 While Midjourney's current offering focuses on animating static images, the company has indicated that expanded capabilities will be introduced in future updates.
