A dramatic rescue took place in Gaya, Bihar, after continuous rain caused the Falgu River to overflow and flood nearby areas. A chilling video shared by PTI on X (formerly Twitter) shows locals and NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) personnel pulling a woman to safety using ropes, as water surged dangerously around her.
Rising Waters Spark Emergency Rescue
The Falgu River had been rising slowly due to scattered rain, but on Thursday, it suddenly crossed the danger mark. As the river swelled rapidly, people got trapped in the strong current. Thanks to quick-thinking locals and the NDRF team, about 12 to 13 people were rescued.
