The Suns have officially traded the 36-year-old NBA All-Star to the Rockets on Sunday. Durant, who has played for the Thunder, Warriors, Nets and Suns, is now heading for his fifth NBA team. He'll team up with a young Rockets squad looking to make a deep run in future postseasons.
ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania first reported the news on Sunday afternoon. The Rockets are sending out a big package, including some young players and a lot of draft picks, in exchange for the two-time NBA champion.
"BREAKING: The Phoenix Suns are trading two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks, sources tell ESPN," he reported.
"The deal places Durant on the No. 2-seeded Rockets and elevates the team's positioning for title contention in the West. The Suns land a 23-year-old scorer for a high-powered backcourt with Devin Booker, a tough 3-and-D player and now have 3 firsts and 8 seconds to use in trades.

The Suns were reportedly talking with two different teams - the Rockets and the Heat - before finalizing the trade with Houston on Sunday.
"Blockbuster trade on the final day of the NBA season. The Suns engaged in deep conversations with the two Durant finalists -- Houston and Miami -- over the last 24 hours and reached agreement on the deal Sunday morning."
Durant is currently in New York City for Fanatics Fest, a sports memorabilia festival. Durant was making a public appearance live at 1 p.m. E.T. when news of the trade broke. Video of his reaction is going viral on social media.

"You're heading to Houston, how does that sound?" Taylor Rooks asked Kevin Durant live on the stage.

Durant didn't seem to know if it was real or not.
'We're gonna see man, we're gonna see," he said.
Durant reportedly had the Rockets as one of his preferred destinations, so he must be happy about it.
Still, it's wild to see someone react in real time to a move like that.

Fun Trailer for the Mockumentary Horror FOUND FOOTAGE: THE MAKING OF THE PATTERSON PROJECT — GeekTyrant

Vertical has released a trailer for fun looking fake documentary film titled Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project , which follows a crew of documentarians who chronicle an amateur filmmaker's journey to try to make the world's greatest found footage horror film. The film is a mockumentary horror movie 'about a budding filmmaker's attempt to produce his first feature, a found footage movie about Bigfoot. Through the eyes of an esteemed French documentary crew, the story follows his unlikely band of misfits as they struggle to keep the production afloat on a shoestring budget. 'All the while, mysterious and sinister occurrences begin to unfold behind the scenes, blurring the lines between movie magic and real life. As the shoot days get longer and scarier, the filmmakers quickly learn that they've stepped into a very real & very terrifying found footage horror film of their own.' The horror filmmakers Radio Silence ( Ready or Not, Scream ) are also presenting this "found footage" horror film this summer. It was directed by Max Tzannes, and stars Brennan Keel Cook, Dean Cameron, Chen Tang, Erika Vetter, and others. Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project will be released on VOD starting June 24th.

Where Wisconsin star John Tonje lands in CBS' latest NBA draft top 100 player ranking

"It was just a surreal year, and I learned so much from playing with the Badgers."Former @BadgerMBB star John Tonje stopped by the studio to discuss his future and memorable season in Madison.#B1GMBBall x @johntonje1 Wisconsin basketball star wing John Tonje is likely to hear his name called during the 2025 NBA draft later this week. Notably, ESPN's latest mock draft recently slotted the now-former Badger No. 42 overall to the Sacramento Kings. CBSSports forecasts a similar pick range -- it has Tonje at No. 44 in its current ranking of the draft's top 100 prospects. The sixth-year senior averaged 19.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for the Badgers in 2024-25. He reached that point total on 46.5% shooting from the field, 39% from 3 and 91% from the free-throw line. Those tallies earned him First-Team All-America honors from the Wooden Award, a Second-Team All-America selection from nearly every other outlet and a consensus First-Team All-Big Ten selection. There is a question of how Tonje's top-end college production will translate to the NBA level, especially at his older age of 24. Enough NBA teams seem sold on that translation, as the 6-foot-5 wing's draft stock has steadily improved since the season's conclusion. His strong NBA combine performance and several notable workouts played major roles. Tonje is likely to hear his name called on Day 2 of the NBA draft on Friday. When he does, he'll become the first Badger selected since Johnny Davis went No. 10 overall to the Washington Wizards in 2022, and the second since Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker each went in the first round in 2015.
