Is Rainbow Six Siege X free to play? Price, editions and access explained

Time of India11-06-2025

Rainbow Six Siege X is officially out, and Ubisoft has now made it partly free to play. Instead of creating a sequel, the developers have completely revamped the original game. Players still get the core gameplay and classic operators, but everything feels more modern. The Dual Front mode brings a fresh 6 versus 6 experienc,e and several maps have been updated to fit the new direction. New visual upgrades, audio design, destructible objects and better movement mechanics round out the changes.
Ubisoft wants to support the game for the next 10 years. But to do that, they have made some parts of the game free while locking competitive features behind paid editions. If you want to try Siege X without spending money, you can. Just don't expect to access every mode unless you pay or already own the old game.

You need an internet connection and a Ubisoft account to play. Dual Front mode is not supported on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
Elite Edition – ₹1,665 (19.99 USD)
If you want to play Ranked mode and the Siege Cup, you must upgrade. The Elite Edition includes:
Ranked and Siege Cup modes
16 extra operators from the early years
All Free Access content
Ultimate Edition – ₹3,330 (39.99 USD)
The Ultimate Edition is the best version for newcomers who want everything unlocked. It includes:
52 additional operators from all nine years
4 cosmetic bundles from the Disruptor Pack
Ranked and Siege Cup modes
All Free Access content
Ubisoft Plus – ₹1,500 (17.99 USD per month)
Players can also access the full premium content by subscribing to Ubisoft Plus. It gives you everything included in the Ultimate Edition, plus access to other Ubisoft titles.
Is the free version enough?

While you can enjoy a good amount of content for free, the competitive side of Rainbow Six Siege X is not available unless you pay. Many players have shared mixed reactions online, as some modes are locked behind a paywall. Ubisoft confirmed that anyone who owned the original Siege before June 10 already gets Premium Access with all past progress included.
So yes, Siege X is free, but only to a point. If you want to compete and unlock the full roster quickly, be ready to spend a little more.

6 open-world mechanics GTA 6 should borrow from Ubisoft's games

(Image via Rockstar Games) When it comes to open worlds, Ubisoft has been doing a lot . Sure, not everything hits, but some mechanics from games like Assassin's Creed , Far Cry , and Watch Dogs have changed how we explore digital worlds. With GTA 6 bringing us back to Vice City in full next-gen glory, Rockstar has a shot to level up — and borrowing a few tricks from Ubisoft wouldn't hurt. Here are 6 open-world mechanics from Ubisoft that GTA 6 should totally steal. 1. Seamless Co-Op (Watch Dogs: Legion) Watch Dogs: Legion gave us the ability to hop into missions with friends on the fly . No loading screens. No hassle. GTA Online is great, but if GTA 6 's campaign or side missions had instant co-op like Ubisoft's? Instant upgrade. Just press a button and boom — your buddy's in the mission with you. GTA 6 New Parkour Mechanisms 2. Parkour Climbing (Assassin's Creed) Vice City's rooftops and high-rises are begging to be explored. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed climbing system would be perfect. Let Lucia and Jason scale buildings, escape the cops parkour-style, or sneak into places like real pros. No more getting stuck on knee-high fences, please. 3. World Events & Ambushes (Far Cry) You're vibing through the jungle in Far Cry , and suddenly — ambush. Wild animal. Civilian in distress. GTA 6 should bring in these random events across Leonida. Imagine: you're cruising in Grassrivers, and someone runs up needing help escaping a gator. Or a shady roadside deal goes wrong. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like ¡No me lo pierdo! Orange Undo That chaos? Pure Rockstar energy. GTA 6 - NPC Details Leaked! 4. NPC Schedules & Daily Lives (Assassin's Creed: Odyssey) Ubisoft made their NPCs actually do stuff . They go to work, go home, and take breaks. In GTA 5, NPCs had some patterns, but GTA 6 could take this to a whole new level. Following a corrupt politician from mansion to nightclub to back-alley deal? Yes, please. Make us feel like the city breathes with or without us. 5. Hacking Tools (Watch Dogs 2) Ubisoft turned phones into power moves. Open a garage door, trigger a car alarm, or drain someone's bank account — all with a click. In GTA 6 , Jason and Lucia could seriously use some digital chaos. A Vice City full of hackable ATMs, cameras, and security systems? We're here for it. Ubisoft doesn't always hit gold, but they've mastered some genius mechanics that would feel right at home in GTA 6's wild and vibrant Leonida. Rockstar's open worlds are already iconic — but steal a little Ubisoft sauce, and we might just get the perfect criminal sandbox. Now it's just a matter of waiting for 2026… painfully. Sitaare Zameen Par Second Day Box Office Estimates: Aamir Khan led dramedy shows astronomical growth after slow start; Nets Rs 20 crore

Aamir Khan led Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna and co-starring Genelia Deshmukh showed promise on day 2 after a low day 1. The movie, after netting Rs 10.50 crore, observed an astronomical growth of 90 percent on day 2 to net Rs 20 crore. The two day cume of Sitaare Zameen Par stands at Rs 30.50 crore and the weekend looks to be in the Rs 50-55 crore net (Rs 60 - 67.50 crore gross) range which is a superb result for a movie with a low start. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Sitaare Zameen Par In India Are As Under Sitaare Zameen Par Shows Solid Momentum On Saturday After A Slow Start Sitaare Zameen Par has found the support that it was looking for. With the audience on board, the movie eyes strong trending over the weekdays, after which it will fire all guns next weekend, despite new releases. At the moment, no prediction about how much the film can do can be given since it is still nascent to call. In the next few days, we can get a rough idea about the film's range. Sitaare Zameen Par Is Looking At A Reasonable Overseas Weekend; Good Global Weekend Internationally, the Aamir Khan starrer is headed for a USD 2.5-3 million (25 crore gross) weekend. That would mean a global opening weekend of Rs 85 - 90 crore; 4.5 times the opening day of the movie. What Is Sitaare Zameen Par All About? Housefull 5 Second Saturday Box Office Estimates: Akshay Kumar starrer stays in race to emerge a mid-range success in India

Tarun Mansukhani's Housefull 5 led by Akshay Kumar is still getting audiences in its 3rd weekend, despite some stiff competition from Sitaare Zameen Par. After ending its first 2 weeks in India collecting Rs 151.75 crore net, the movie managed Rs 1.50 crore on its third Friday. Today, that is on its third Saturday, the movie has collected Rs 1.80 crore, to take the total to Rs 155.05 crore. Another Rs 2 crore on Sunday will take the comic-caper to Rs 157.05 crore net. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Housefull 5 Are As Under Particulars India Net Collection Week 1 Rs 114.40 crore Week 2 Rs 37.35 crore 3rd Friday Rs 1.50 crore 3rd Saturday Rs 1.80 crore Total Rs 155.05 crore net Housefull 5 remains on course to emerge a mid-range success. Although a mid-range success is not that great a result for a franchise film with a cent percent hit track-record, it is not as bad as many of the big films that have released post-pandemic. It could have been worse given the initial perception of the movie that was created. Housefull 5 Opened Well But The Trend Over The Weekdays Was Not Strong The first weekend numbers of Housefull 5 were good and it is the weekday trend that was weak, resulting in a lower than required second week. Had the word of mouth been favourable, it would have crossed Rs 200 crore net and settled for a lifetime number in the range of Rs 250 crore net. The overseas haul of USD 6.75-7 million could have been more like 10 million with favourable reception, pushing the film's global numbers close to Rs 375 crore instead of Rs 265-275 crore gross. Housefull 5's Reception Proves That Branded Content Still Works One thing that is clear is that branded content is working and the final result of Housefull 5, which is decent but underwhelming, should not make it seem like focus should shift away from sequels. Akshay Kumar has a bunch of branded (Sequel/IP) content up for release, from Welcome To The Jungle to Jolly LLB 3, up for release in the next one year. There also is OMG 3 that is in the works. Housefull 5 In Theatres Housefull 5 still plays in theatres now. Have you watched the movie yet? Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates on Akshay Kumar and Housefull 5
