Joan Collins, 92, stuns fans with new picture of rarely-seen daughter Katy
Actress Joan Collins sparked a wholesome fan reaction on Sunday when she shared an ultra-rare photograph of her youngest daughter, Katy.
In a celebratory birthday post shared to Instagram, the Dynasty star uploaded a beaming snapshot that showed the pair posing together at a round table.
Dressed to impress, Joan, 91, looked radiant wearing a ruched coffee-hued top which she teamed with a cream blazer emblazoned with a pink and navy check pattern.
The legendary TV star elevated her look with a wide-brim hat, pearlescent disc earrings and a statement pearl crucifix. Katy, meanwhile, looked stylish dressed in a chic quilted jacket and a black beanie.
Paying tribute to Katy on her birthday, Joan wrote in her caption: "My beautiful #daughter Katy enjoying the happiest of birthdays last Friday #daughtersareforever #daughterslove."
Fans and friends quickly inundated the comments section with touching messages. One wrote: "Beautiful photo of you both", while a second added: "What a beautiful photo of you both", and a third commented: "Happy birthday Katy. I love her jacket!"
Joan shares Katyana Kass, known affectionately as Katy, with her third husband, Ron Kass.
Whilst Katy tends to avoid the spotlight, Joan did open up about her daughter in her 2023 BBC Documentary titled This Is Joan. Sharing a glimpse into their family life, Joan revealed that Katy suffered a traumatic car accident when she was eight years old.
"She was knocked down by a car and sustained very serious brain injuries and I was told that she was going to die. She was in a coma for a very long time," Joan said.
Aside from Katy, Joan is also a doting mother to her two eldest children, Alexander and Tara, whom she shares with her second husband, Anthony Newely.
Tara is a journalist and screenwriter, while Alexander is a published author and artist.
Musing on motherhood, Joan previously told In 2018: "What makes me happiest is seeing my children happy. Honestly, life makes me happy and I'm very aware of how lucky I am."
Joan has been married five times in total; to Maxwell Reed, Antony Newley, Ron Kass, Peter Holm and Percy Gibson, to whom she has been happily married since 2002.
Lovebirds Percy and Joan crossed paths in 2000 before going on to tie the knot in 2002. While Joan initially had no intention of remarrying, she felt an instant connection with her "soulmate" Percy and subsequently changed her mind.
"It is my fifth marriage, and my happiest, and last" Joan previously told us. "Percy is wonderful, he's my soulmate. That doesn't mean we don't bicker but we are very understanding of each other."

Council's £100k appeal to buy lost Turner painting
A council has launched a one-week fundraiser to return JMW Turner's earliest-known oil painting "to its home". Bristol City Council, which owns Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, is trying to raise £100,000 to help purchase The Rising Squall, which depicts the Avon George. The painting had been lost for 150 years before it was rediscovered last year. Phillip Walker, head of culture for Bristol City Council, said: "It's an incredibly important and relevant painting for Bristol because it's the very first and probably only oil painting that Turner ever painted of a Bristol scene." The guide price for the painting is £300,000, and the council hopes to raise the rest of the money from other sources before the auction on 2 July. Mr Walker said the council is "putting all of its feelers out" to "try and raise the money it can to stand a chance at bidding". The painting was debuted at the Royal Academy in 1793, three days after Turner's 18th birthday, before being bought by Reverend Robert Nixon, a customer of Turner's father's barber shop. Mr Nixon's son inherited the painting after his death, and it then fell "into obscurity", having last been exhibited in Tasmania, Australia. If the council is unsuccessful in purchasing Turner's work, it said all of the money that has been donated will be returned. "We want to make this work, so we're asking anyone who can to help and share the enthusiasm and the opportunity," Mr Walker said. Ice to see you: Greenock skaters show off skills at super Waterfront showcase
SUPER skaters put on a stunning show for more than 100 friends and family members in Greenock. The showcase featured 26 skaters aged between seven and 31, who dazzled with their routines on the ice at the Waterfront Rink. There were two group skates, duets, a competitive programme and others who created their own routines. "The audience was lively and fully engaged, loving every moment from start to finish." Megan said: "It's nice to see all the skaters coming together as one team. "It's lovely for the parents to see all the hard work their children have done." It has two groups - one from 14 and under and the other for those 15 and over. Megan said she had had rave reviews from from parents and audience members. One said: "This has to be hands down one of the best nights. From decor, routines, getting to see girls free skates, the dresses, costumes, lighting, the lot. Just wow. "This was a brilliant night." A second fan said: "It all looked amazing. I loved how the rink was dressed up to take part."
