A young man has been arrested by gardaí following a seizure of drugs worth more than €170,000 in Co Kerry last night.
A significant quantity of drugs was seized by gardaí from the Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit and the local Crime Unit yesterday.
Shortly after 10pm on Friday night, gardaí intercepted a vehicle in Listowel, Co Kerry.

They later recovered a substantial quantity of cannabis and cocaine, with an estimated street value of over €170,000.
A man aged in his 20s, who was the driver of the car, was arrested at the scene by the gardaí, and is currently being detained at a Garda station in Co Kerry.
The drugs will now be sent for analysis to Forensic Science Ireland.
This is a part of a national anti-drugs strategy, Operation Tara, and ongoing investigations targeting the sale and distribution of drugs and criminal activity in the southern region.
Investigations are ongoing, a Garda spokesperson said.

A RAID on a business premises in Dublin has resulted in the seizure of €2 million worth of cannabis herb. The search was carried out on Saturday at a business in Ballyfermot. The seized drugs will be analysed by Forensic Science Ireland.
