‘National anthem Louis!': What Princess Catherine really told Prince Louis during Trooping the Colour

Lip readers have revealed what the royal family was really talking about while waving to the crowds during Saturday's Trooping the Colour celebrations.
This year, the Coldstream Guards 'Trooped their Colour' for King Charles during the annual military parade marking the monarch's official birthday.
Charles and Queen Camilla were joined at the event by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence also joined in alongside Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke of Kent and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
The spectacle ended with an RAF fly-past watched on by the royal family before they waved to crowds gathered on the Mall below.
The Princess of Wales, 43, looked radiant as she stood beside her husband, Prince William, and their three children on the iconic balcony.
According to lip reader Jeremy Freeman, Kate had to gently remind Prince Louis, 7, to stand for the national anthem.
"National anthem. Louis, stand,' Kate reportedly told her younger son.
Louis then reportedly straightened his posture and focussed straight ahead as God Save The King played.
After the festivities were over, Mr Freeman revealed that William turned to his father to remark on the extravagant parade.
William reportedly said "Oh my word, what a day," to which Charles replied: 'Great theatre.'
The small glimpses inside the royal occasion come after another lip reader claimed Charles and Camilla were openly discussing Prince Harry while riding down the Mall in an open top carriage.
According to fellow lip reader Nicola Hickling, who spoke to SkyNews.com.au on behalf of Fruity King, Charles told his wife that he would soon have to talk with the Duke of Sussex.
'He keeps dragging it all up, there seems to be another issue, right now,' the King reportedly said.
'What are you going to do about it?,' the Queen allegedly asked.
'We will tackle it sooner or later, It's all very messy and I will talk to Harry. That'll be fun,' Charles said.
The revelation reportedly prompted the Queen to reply 'oh yes, problematic'.

Simon Baker shocks as the Aussie actor attends major film festival in open-toe Birkenstocks

Simon Baker has popped up in Italy, where he attended an exclusive media event looking every part the quintessential casual Australian. The Aussie A-lister attended the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival at Forte Village in Cagliari, Sardinia alongside other Hollywood Talent on Thursday. The film and television event, now in its 8th edition, will present more than 70 films, which are either Italian or world premieres, until Sunday, with the aim of spotlighting Italian and international cinema and supporting talent. Baker is set to receive the Filming Italy Excellence Award. The 55-year-old looked dapper as posed with the festival's General Director, Tiziana Rocca, and Twilight star, actress Ashley Greene. Baker donned his signature glasses, which he paired with a pair of jeans, a belt, and a light-coloured shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. However, it was the Boy Swallows Universe star's choice of footwear that baffled fans. Baker opted for a pair of moss-green Birkenstock slides instead of dress shoes for the occasion. The actor proudly paraded his unique style as Tiziana stood beside him and pointed to the famed Australian. A close-up shot of his shoes showed that they appeared slightly worse for wear but were still in good condition. "I love his simplicity," one fan wrote on Instagram. "He looks great," another person said. Baker traded the Hollywood lights for a country getaway in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, near where he grew up, in 2016. The laid-back celebrity in April championed the "beautiful frankness" of Down Under after having immersed himself in many parts of the world. "Once you start to assimilate back into our culture, you also realise there's a beautiful frankness to Australians that is priceless," he told Esquire Australia. "There's no flowery way of putting things; it's just direct. "And that level of authenticity is grounding. It's like a cosy blanket. It's very comfortable and familiar for me." The actor, who rose to fame as consultant Patrick Jane in The Mentalist from 2008 to 2015, broke his silence in April on the status of The Devil Wears Prada 2 and whether he'll reprise his role in the upcoming sequel. Baker played the elusive Christian Thompson in the 2006 hit and revealed to he's unlikely to make a comeback. "I haven't got the call up yet," he said. "So I don't know- probably not, no." It comes as there has been no word on whether Anne Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, will return ahead of the sequel next May. The follow-up is expected to explore Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep) grappling with the decline of the magazine industry while former assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) returns for a dramatic showdown.

Kate misses Royal Ascot following cancer battle

The Princess of Wales has pulled out of attending Royal Ascot as she continues to find the right balance following her treatment for cancer. Kate is said to be disappointed not to attend the famous social and sporting occasion in Berkshire with her husband and the King and Queen. She has been making a gradual return to public duties since it was announced in January she was in remission from cancer. Her public appearances have increased in recent weeks and she has attended three high profile events including Trooping the Colour, the annual Order of the Garter service and a visit to a V&A storage facility in London. But it is understood she is trying to find the right balance as she fully returns to public-facing engagements. Racegoers had been hoping to see Kate as William was named as one of the figures awarding race prizes during the second day of the meeting. She was named in the list of guests joining Charles and Camilla in the carriage procession. The list was quickly amended removing Kate's name after Kensington Palace confirmed she would not be attending. 'Disappointed': Princess Kate a no-show at Royal Ascot despite being listed in the official carriage procession amid post-cancer 'phased' return to duties

Princess Catherine is said to be "disappointed" after withdrawing at the last minute from Royal Ascot on Wednesday. The 43-year-old was listed to appear on day two of the prestigious racing meet in Berkshire, seated in the royal procession alongside her husband, Prince William, 42, the King and Queen, and other senior royals. Ascot officials published the carriage list shortly after midday local time (9pm AEST), with the Princess of Wales due to ride in the second carriage with Prince William. But less than 30 minutes later, Kensington Palace confirmed Catherine would no longer be attending, and a revised procession line-up was released. Prince William instead took a seat in the lead carriage with King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud, a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia. The Prince of Wales, who later handed out prizes to Wednesday's winners, was supported at the event by Catherine's mother, Carole Middleton, and her sister-in-law Alizée Thévenet, who is married to James Middleton. Other royals in attendance included Prince Edward, Princess Anne, Zara and Mike Tindall, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. It's understood that while Catherine was " disappointed" to have missed out on the event, her withdrawal was made to ensure she continues to strike the "right balance" as she gradually returns to public life in the wake of her cancer bombshell. The royal, who is undergoing a phased return to engagements following her cancer battle, has not attended Royal Ascot since 2023. In a deeply personal statement shared in January, Catherine revealed she was in remission after undergoing nine months of preventative chemotherapy. "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery," the Princess said at the time, thanking her medical team at The Royal Marsden in London. "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. "I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to." While it's not yet confirmed if she'll attend another day of the event, Catherine has already made two major public appearances this week, including Trooping the Colour on Saturday and Garter Day at Windsor Castle on Monday. Unfortunately, missing out on Wednesday's royal procession was an especially poignant event to skip, as it marks 200 years since the tradition was introduced by King George IV in 1825.
