Coco Gauff, who plays in the second match of the morning, is the last American standing in either of the singles draws; yesterday, she defeated fellow American Madison Keys 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-1 to reach the semifinals. However, Gauff dropped her first set of the tournament and overcame 10 double-faults in her match against Keys.
In the semifinals, she'll face Loïs Boisson, a wild card entry for France who is currently ranked 361st.
The first match of the day, airing at 9 a.m. ET, will be between No. 1-ranked Aryna Sabalenka and three-time defending French Open champion Iga Swiatek, who is ranked No. 5. Both players won their quarterfinal matchups in straight sets. Swiatek is now just two wins away from becoming the first woman to four-peat at Roland Garros.
French Open TV schedule for June 5:
No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka vs. No. 5 Iga Świątek — 9 a.m. ET (TNT/truTV)
Lois Boisson vs. No. 2 Coco Gauff — 10:30 a.m. ET (TNT/truTV)

Thunder vs. Pacers prediction: NBA Finals Game 7 player props, picks, odds
New York Post may be compensated and/or receive an affiliate commission if you click or buy through our links. Featured pricing is subject to change. At their core, sports bettors are also fans. But though they enjoy exciting games, they are not necessarily compelled to bet on the biggest events. The Pacers visit the Thunder in Game 7 on Sunday to decide the NBA championship. The total is now 214.5 after being no lower than 222 all series. The market adjustment is because a Game 7 is almost always a lower-scoring outcome than the other games. A few theories contribute to that. First, players are often tight and much more measured with each possession. They know the stakes, and the human element prevents loose shooting and free-flowing offense. Second, the familiarity with each team's offensive formations and flow contributes to stronger defense. During the regular season, a team will face different teams each night, but in the playoffs, a team faces the same opponent consecutively. That builds knowledge and awareness of that offense's nuances. That's why a total typically decreases throughout a series. Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (2) shoots as Oklahoma City Thunder forward Chet Holmgren (7) defends during the first half of Game 6 of the NBA Finals basketball series, Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Indianapolis. AP Lastly, the officiating tends to tighten in a Game 7. Referees are reluctant to decide the outcome, and thus allow more physicality and contact. That often results in fewer free throws. I lean to Under 214.5, but those narratives can also contribute to strong betting angles for proposition bets. I am backing Chet Holmgren Over 9.5 rebounds. Simply, if defenses are allowed more contact, then I expect more missed shots. The pace might slow down, but the shooting percentages should lower. Betting on the NBA? Holmgren is a willing rebounder and has been free to roam the paint on defense since Isaiah Hartenstein was inserted into the starting lineup. That's because Hartenstein took over the defensive assignment of Indy center Myles Turner, who mostly lurks around the 3-point line on offense. I have a 51-42-ATS record in this Post Sports section. My next play is Holmgren Over 9.5 rebounds in Game 7 (-110, FanDuel)

Former Washington minority owner Fred Smith dies at 80
Fred Smith, a towering figure in American business, has died. He was 80. While in most contexts he will be remembered first and foremost as the founder of FedEx, Smith had a significant impact on the NFL. He was the father of former Falcons coach and current Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Fred Smith also was a long-time minority owner of the Washington Commanders, and FedEx for many years held the naming rights to the stadium where the team plays. Beyond his company expressly requesting that the team abandon its former nickname in July 2020, Smith's efforts to extricate himself from the team placed significant pressure on former principal owner Daniel Snyder. Along with Robert Rothman and Dwight Schar, Smith worked to find a way out of their partnership with Snyder, culminating in Snyder buying their stakes in the franchise in early 2021. The unrest sparked by Smith and the other minority partners contributed to the focus on the business activities of the franchise as led by Snyder. There is an unmistakable link between the Smith/Rothman/Schar situation and the ultimate ouster of Snyder in 2023. Smith first acquired his interest in the team in 2003. He had attempted to secure an expansion franchise in Memphis in the 1990s, when the Panthers and Jaguars joined the NFL. With Elvis Presley's estate involved in the bid, the team would have been known as the Memphis Hound Dogs.
