Coaches Adin Osmanbasic and Eddie Lattimore have been reunited with former Plymouth Argyle boss Miron Muslic at German Bundesliga 2 side Schalke.
Osmanbasic and Lattimore were brought to Argyle by Muslic as part of his backroom staff during his short stint in charge from January until the end of last season. Both had previously worked with him at Cercle Brugge in Belgium.

Muslic left Argyle following their relegation from the Championship to become the head coach at seven-times German champions Schalke on a two-year contract.

Today, Schalke confirmed in a post on X (Twitter) that Osmanbasic and Lattimore were joining the Gelsenkirchen-based club, as well as goalkeeping coach Volkan Unlu.
In response to that, Osmanbasic said: "Grateful for the opportunity to join the Schalke 04 coaching staff. Thank you to Miron Muslic, Frank Baumann (director of sport), and the entire club for the trust. Excited to get to work!"

He also made a post on X last night after his departure from Argyle, along with that of Lattimore, was confirmed, following the news that Damon Lathrope, Matt Bevans and Chris Douglas had joined new head coach Tom Cleverley's backroom staff.
Osmanbasic said: "Today, my time at Argyle came to an end. I want to thank all of the incredible players, staff, and supporters involved with the club. I'll continue to support from afar. I wish nothing but success for the club, and its new staff. I am sure Argyle will return to where it belongs!"
Lathrope, the former Torquay United midfielder, will be Cleverley's assistant head coach at Argyle, as he was at Watford last season, with Bevans as first team coach and Douglas as first team analyst.
Bevans guided Watford under-18s to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup last season, assisted by Lloyd Doyley. They beat Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton along the way before eventually losing 1-0 to Manchester City in the last four of the competition.

Jamal Musiala injured again for Bayern Munich at Club World Cup

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Star German midfielder Jamal Musiala went off injured only 25 minutes after entering Friday night's Club World Cup match for Bayern Munich and was substituted by national team veteran Thomas Müller in the 82nd minute. Musiala came on in the 57th minute against Boca Juniors. The nature of his injury wasn't immediately known. The 22 year-old had been recovering from a torn hamstring during the Bundesliga season. Musiala had not played since April and returned to Bayern training on May 7. Bayern and German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann decided not to name him to the squad during the UEFA Nations League semifinals in late May. ___

Bayern Munich advances in the Club World Cup with 2-1 win over Boca Juniors

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Michael Olise fired Bayern Munich into the knockout stages of the Club World Cup, scoring in the 84th minute for a 2-1 win over Boca Juniors on Friday night. German champion Bayern made it two wins in Group C and advanced to the round of 16 with a game to spare. Olise secured the victory at Hard Rock Stadium after Miguel Merentiel had put Boca in position for a draw with a brilliant solo goal in the 66th. Bayern, which tops the group, took the lead on Harry Kane's clinical finish in the 18th and went on to miss of a slew of chances before Merentiel's equalizer. South American teams had been unbeaten in their first nine games of this expanded Club World Cup. Bayern looked like it would be held until Olise's cool finish. Collecting Kane's layoff inside the box, the forward curled a powerful first-time effort low into the bottom corner. Bayern has the luxury of resting players for its final group game against second-place Benfica on Tuesday, which could be bad news for Boca. Argentine giant Boca, which plays Auckland City, needs Bayern to beat Benfica to have any chance of advancing to the next round. 'We knew it wasn't going to be easy, we knew we were coming into a hostile environment, hot weather, it was tough. It's a massive tournament. We are playing against the best teams in the world. We just have to compete to our highest level and we should be able to beat most teams.' — Kane. 'We have to find a way (to advance). A draw would've been great but it's up to us to compete and do our best and I would not be surprised if that happened.' — Boca Juniors coach Miguel Angel Russo. ___
