Fanatics Fest will have $200 million of Michael Jordan, LeBron James memorabilia on display in NYC

Start spreading the sports-nerd news: Fanatics Fest is returning to New York City this June, and it's not showing up empty-handed. The three-day mega-convention will include a showstopping exhibition called the "Museum of Greatness," a $200 million pop-up sports shrine filled with ultra-rare memorabilia from athletic legends like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Tom Brady and more.
Running June 20–22 at the Javits Center, this year's Fanatics Fest is taking over Manhattan's West Side with even more star power and collectibles than its debut last summer, which drew more than 70,000 attendees. But the main event this time is a 10,500-square-foot museum packed with iconic gear, jaw-dropping trading cards and one-of-a-kind treasures collectors thought they'd never see in person.
Among the crown jewels: LeBron's $10 million Ultimate Rookie Logoman card, MJ's 'Last Dance' jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals and a one-of-a-kind Fleer Metal Gem Masters card valued at $4.5 million. You'll also find Kobe Bryant's NBA Finals jersey, Ohtani's 2024 All-Star uniform and more than 30 Tom Brady cards (some featuring game-worn Super Bowl fabric, no big deal).
Organizers say the Museum of Greatness will have over 20 themed zones—from 'GOATs' to 'Rising Stars'—highlighting players across eras and sports. It's basically the Louvre for collectors, if the Mona Lisa wore cleats.

But this isn't just for hardcore hobbyists. With over 500 athletes, celebs, and creators appearing throughout the weekend, the fest doubles as a who's-who of sports culture. Expect autograph sessions, live panels, merch drops, and interactive brand activations from leagues like the NFL, NBA, MLB and WWE.
And yes, security will be tighter than a Knicks playoff schedule. With millions on display—including Babe Ruth and Messi memorabilia—round-the-clock surveillance is a given.

LeBron James posts stunned one-world reaction to Tyrese Haliburton's devastating NBA Finals injury

An absolutely catastrophic injury to Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton in Game 7 of the NBA Finals has fans and players worried for his future beyond this game. Haliburton went down in the first quarter of Sunday night's do-or-die, championship-deciding game with a lower leg injury. It comes after the star sat a good portion of Game 6 after suffering a quad strain in the same leg. The guard was carried off the court and to the locker room and will not return in a devastating blow to Indiana's hopes of winning a first NBA title. It was later confirmed by the star's father, John Haliburton, that Tyrese had suffered an Achilles injury. In the aftermath of the injury, NBA stars like LeBron James tweeted their shock. James, the four-time NBA champion, simply tweeted out an expletive on Sunday night along with face-palm and prayer hand emojis. LeBron was far from the only sports star to react to the injury in real time. Four players that Haliburton's Pacers eliminated in the playoffs reacted as well. Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell, who was eliminated by Indiana in the second round, tweeted, 'These calf strains ain't no joke man!! Praying for Ty'. A trio of New York Knicks stars, who lost to Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals, also posted. Josh Hart simply tweeted 'Ty' with three prayer hands emojis. Jalen Brunson posted, 'Prayers up man' while Karl-Anthony Towns said something similar: 'You never want to see that, prayers up.' Even Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes posted, 'Prayers up man...' with similar emojis as the others. It's a disappointing end to a night that started with such promise for Haliburton, who went 3-of-4 from beyond the arc to grab nine points. If Haliburton did indeed tear his Achilles, he'd be the third NBA superstar to suffer that injury in these playoffs, alongside Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard and Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum. A torn Achilles would likely require surgery and a lengthy recovery time for the Indiana star. At halftime, Indiana is clinging on to a 48-47 lead.

Haliburton goes down injured in Game 7 of NBA Finals

June 22 (Reuters) - Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton left injured midway through the first quarter in the winner-take-all Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. The point guard was off to a terrific start in the decider with three three-pointers in the first five minutes of the game when he slipped and fell while driving toward the basket at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. He slapped his fist and wept as team medical staff rushed to his aid with five minutes left in the quarter. He was later seen gingerly moving to the locker room with the aid of two staff members with a towel over his head. An NBA Finals MVP contender, Haliburton suffered a previous calf injury in Game 5 of the series.

Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton leaves Game 7 of the NBA Finals with injury

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Halburton left Game 7 of the NBA Finals in the first quarter with an apparent right leg injury. After receiving a pass near the top of the key, Haliburton began to dribble before collapsing to the ground as he lost control of the ball. Haliburton repeatedly slammed the court in agony before a timeout. He was then taken off the floor with the help of teammates without putting any pressure on his right leg. Haliburton has been playing through the last two games of the series with a right calf strain. He had been observed limping earlier in the series, then appeared to aggravate the calf in Game 5. 'I'm pretty much in the same standpoint I was before Game 6,' Haliburton said the day before Game 7. 'A little stiff, a little sore, rather. Good thing I only had to play like 23 minutes. I've been able to get even more treatment and do more things. Just trying to take care of it the best I can.' After Game 6, which the Pacers won 108-91 to avoid elimination, Haliburton said as long as he could walk, he would play. 'I just look at it as I want to be out there to compete with my brothers. These are guys that I'm willing to go to war with and we've had such a special year, and we have a special bond as a group, and you know, I think I'd beat myself up if I didn't give it a chance,' Haliburton said. 'I just want to be out there and fight and just had to have an honest conversation with Coach that, you know, if I didn't look like myself and was hurting the team, like sit me down. Obviously, I want to be on the floor. But I want to win more than anything.'
