Taylor made a recent surprise appearance at the Giants' OTAs (Organized Team Activities), where he offered pearls of wisdom on teamwork to the current defensive squad. But it was his appearance following recent legal troubles last summer that had everyone talking.

While encouraging the players to spend time together outside of practice to build camaraderie on the field, Taylor described the group as 'like a bunch of crazy dogs' who need to play as 'one unit.'
Before leaving the group, L.T. lamented no longer playing football, stating:
'I wish I could still play, but I'm too goddamned old, you know? I can't do it no more."
Despite the comment, his presence at the Giants' training facility was anything but aged.
Wearing black sweats and a gray-and-black sweatshirt, Taylor looked fit and healthy, even with a newly grayed beard. His appearance was a welcome sight for fans of the athlete, who also had a memorable role in Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday. Taylor's past legal troubles and history with drug use have previously made him the subject of dramatic headlines.

In his 2004 biography L.T.: Over the Edge, the 10-time All-Pro attributed his struggles during and after his NFL career to being an adrenaline junkie who lived life on the edge. The former Giants star — widely regarded as the greatest defensive player of all time — told The New York Times in 2003 that "L.T. is dead." Despite Taylor's attempt to put his fast-living persona to rest, the former NFL star was arrested for failing to report his address, a requirement of past legal issues stemming from Lawrence's interaction with an underage prostitute.
The case against Taylor was dismissed in July 2024.

Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson aim to end Bears HC/QB turnover trend
The Chicago Bears have a long line of failed quarterbacks, and most recently, failed head coaches to boot. But Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson are determined to end that trend. During an appearance at Fanatics Fest, Williams discussed his relationship with his new head coach and how they're aiming to turn it into a bond that lasts for the foreseeable future. He also discussed the pair's goal to end that head coach-quarterback turnover trend that's plagued Chicago for decades. "I know Bears fans, it's year after year coaches and quarterbacks, specifically, are in-and-out," Williams said, via Ryan Garcia. "Our goal is to be here for a while." Johnson is one of the NFL's brightest offensive minds, and he turned the Detroit Lions offense into a top unit in the league while reviving Jared Goff's career. Now, Johnson gets a chance to work with a young quarterback in Williams, who he praised before even taking the job. If there's anyone who can maximize Williams' potential, it's Johnson. For as long as the Bears have been searching for coaching stability (since the Lovie Smith era), they've been looking even longer for a true franchise quarterback who can lead this team to a Super Bowl championship. And the pairing of Williams and Johnson has the potential to be a legendary one in Chicago. Follow Bears Wire on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle addresses abuse allegations made against him
Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle addresses abuse allegations made against him originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area SAN FRANCISCO — Giants reliever Sean Hjelle addressed accusations of abuse made by his wife on social media, saying he's still in the process of trying to figure the situation out. Hjelle didn't get into specifics and said he plans to release an official statement on the matter in the coming weeks. 'I feel confident in saying that I will have one eventually,' Hjelle said following San Francisco's 3-2 win over the Boston Red Sox at Oracle Park. 'I don't have an exact timeline on that but I would like to actually get with the people that are handling the situation with me and for me before I make an actual statement.' Caroline Hjelle's post on TikTok on Friday included a caption that read: 'When my MLB husband abandons us on Mothers Day a week after this (video was taken) once I finally found about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, so I've been raising two boys alone.' According to Hjelle, the couple have not been together for awhile and have been in the process of divorcing for about a year. Clerical and legal procedures have held matters up. 'We reached an agreement in mediation this offseason,' Hjelle said. 'In the state of Virginia we had to wait a full year of separation, which was filed last May. So the official divorce decree has been delayed because of me starting in Sacramento, and per the terms of the agreement there were some nuances and what not. 'So that part has actually been delayed. But for all intents and purposes the divorce is a signature away from being officially finalized.' The Giants released a statement earlier Saturday acknowledging that Major League Baseball has begun investigating the incident. Hjelle hadn't spoken publicly about it until Saturday and wants to wait until he gathers more information before making any further comments. 'I would like to talk with my agent, my lawyer,' Hjelle said. 'This has been something that's been going on for over a year now in terms of our relationship and our divorce and our separation and everything. But I don't have any official comment right now. 'I just want to talk to the appropriate people, figure out what the steps are (and) just kind of take it in stride.' Download and follow the Giants Talk Podcast

4 Broncos players, 1 coach make ESPN's All Quarter Century team
ESPN recently compiled a list of players to headline their NFL All Quarter Century team. The list, which detailed the best NFL players since 2000, featured the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady and Priest Holmes (yes, he's ranked over Adrian Peterson and Ladainian Tomlinson, in which the former is on their practice squad.) Nevertheless, the good news is four Denver Broncos players and a former coach made the Quarter Century Team. Of course, Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey and DeMarcus Ware would come to mind. But Brian Dawkins, who spent a majority of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, also spent three seasons with the Broncos for the latter part of his career and still notched two Pro Bowls (2009, 2011) and an All-Pro nod (2009). Lastly, Wade Phillips, the architect of the 'No Fly Zone' defense of the 2015 Super Bowl champions, was named as the defensive coordinator for the team. Phillips had stints as a head coach, but his time as a DC with the Broncos will have him immortalized, just like with this list. Check out the complete list here.
