A "brazen" thief who stole power tools worth thousands of pounds in full view of CCTV has been jailed.Michael Stewart, 28, took tools worth around £2,700 from a business in High Street on 20 May last year then, three days later, stole tools worth £1,000 from a van in Flint Road.He was arrested three months later after police trawled through camera footage and identified him.Stewart, of Armthorpe Road, Doncaster, was jailed for three years and 10 months having been found guilty of burglary and robbery after trial at Sheffield Crown Court. He was also banned from driving for two years and 11 months.
Det Con Josh Heath said: "Stewart was brazen in his offences, committing these thefts in full view of CCTV."He targeted both a private business and a member of the public, stealing high value items with no regard for the consequences of his victims."I am glad that he will spend time behind bars for his selfish actions, and hope that his sentence is a lesson to other would-be burglars that crime does not pay."

The family of a woman missing for a month have issued an emotional plea for information. Reanne Coulson, 34, from Coventry, was last seen on 21 May when CCTV captured her at St Mary & Benedict Church in Raglan Street at about 21:45 sister Kirsten Coulson said she was "loved by many" and it was "out of the ordinary" for her to not return home.A 53-year-old man who was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of murder and kidnap remained in custody, West Midlands Police said. Ms Coulson said her sister was known to work as a sex worker in the area where she went missing and urged anyone who had seen her to get in touch."Her lifestyle has not been easy for the past few years and we as a family are aware that she lives a chaotic life."Reanne is not only my sister but my twin sister, a mother, a daughter and an aunt."We are worried sick and need your help to find her."She added that her sister had not contacted her family on her birthday on 17 brother Luke added: "Please, please come home or contact mum or dad, we are all worried sick about you. "You're not in any trouble we just want you home." Police have released CCTV footage of Ms Coulson's last confirmed sighting. The footage also captured two men who the police wish to identify. Det Supt Jim Munro said the force believed people may be "reluctant" to speak to the police due to "the lifestyle or criminality that they may be involved in", however he urged them to "think of their consciences" and "provide the police with information".He added that as part of the missing person inquiry the force was keen to speak to people who had been in the Vauxhall Street area which was "known to be frequented by sex workers", on the evening of 21 May and early hours of 22 May. Det Supt Manro said information could be provided anonymously via added that the 53-year-old man was helping the police with its enquiries, however the force had "limited time" to speak to the individual. A dedicated website has also been set up where people can give have previously said Ms Coulson was known to travel around Coventry, Atherstone and Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. THIS is the shocking moment police shoot dead an aggressive dog after it mauled a child and attacked an officer. The youngster was rushed to hospital with puncture wounds on both arms after the attack in Castleford, West Yorkshire, on Saturday. 4 4 4 Cops were called to a house on Middle Oxford Street after the horror attack on the child at around 2.20pm. Video released by West Yorkshire Police shows the moment police attempt to safely capture two loose dogs discovered at the address. While trying to sedate the animals, one of the officers was injured after being bitten by a "persistently aggressive" black dog. Armed cops were then called in to shoot the out-of-control pet. Footage shows the officer firing two shots at the animal, sending another dog sprinting across the garden. It was later secured and taken to police kennels. A 29-year-old woman was arrested and a man has been charged with being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog as police continue to probe the daylight incident. He is set to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on 8 July. In a statement, West Yorkshire police said: 'Police were called at 2:20pm on Saturday to a report that a child had been bitten by a dog at an address in Middle Oxford Street. "The child was taken to hospital with puncture wounds to both arms. 'There were two dogs at the property and a number of measures were taken, including sedation, in attempts to safely secure them. "Enquiries were also made with local vets for assistance, but none were available. 'Levi Lynch, aged 25, of Hastings Crescent, Castleford, has been charged with the offence of being in charge of a dog which was dangerously out of control causing injury. "He is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on 8 July. 'A 29-year-old woman was also arrested and has been released under investigation." Sophie Lindsay, 41, told how the beast charged at her with its head down, causing injuries the same as being hit by a car at 40mph.
