'Sick and tired': Tom Brady's unsettling comments about his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen and their troubled marriage

Long before his retirement, legendary quarterback Tom Brady was already grappling with the sacrifices that came with being one of the greatest in
NFL
history. In a revealing 2021 episode of his Let's Go! podcast with Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Brady spoke candidly about a 'very difficult issue' in his marriage to supermodel Gisele Bündchen — a deep imbalance between his football career and family responsibilities.
Tom Brady opened up about a difficult issue that strained his marriage with Gisele Bündchen
At the time, Tom Brady, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, acknowledged that Gisele had taken the lead in managing their household and raising their children for more than a decade. 'I think my wife has, you know, held down the house for a long time now,' he said. 'And I think there's things that she wants to accomplish.'
Gisele Bündchen's quiet sacrifices clashed with Tom Brady's relentless football schedule
Despite stepping back from the runway in 2015, Gisele was far from retired in spirit. Brady noted that she still had personal goals she hadn't pursued because she had prioritized their family life.
'She hasn't worked as much in the last 10, 12 years just raising our family and kind of committing to being in a life in Boston and then moving to Florida,' Brady said, adding, 'But that's an issue, and it's a very difficult issue to reconcile without just saying: 'Hey, it's time to retire.
''
Brady's honesty exposed the emotional weight behind the scenes of a seemingly perfect life — a reminder that fame and success don't shield anyone from real-life relationship pressures.
Even though NFL players have significant downtime in the off-season, Brady admitted he still felt like he wasn't fully present. 'I wish I was there more, but I think if I was there too much… they might be sick and tired of me screwing up everything,' he said with a laugh.
Years later, his remarks are seen as early signs of a growing rift that ultimately contributed to the couple's high-profile divorce in 2022.

'I'm happy for Fernando Alonso to wander into any garage': Aston Martin boss Andy Cowell on Alonso's Alpine visits
Image credit: Aston Martin/X A lot is happening at Aston Martin apart from the action on track. In the latest development, rumors started floating around Fernando Alonso over his frequent visits to Alpine's area during the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. But before the speculations could catch more fire, Aston Martin Team Principal Andy Cowell laughed it off and expressed faith in Alonso's commitment to remain a part of the team until 2026 and maybe beyond. Is Fernando Alonso planning a return to Alpine? Rumors around Fernando Alonso's interest in Alpine began circulating when Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft drew attention to the Aston Martin driver's frequent visits to Alpine's hospitality suite. Croft said, 'Is something going on that could see Fernando Alonso back at Enstone again for a fourth time? Watch this space on that one, that's just the paddock rumour.' Alonso was part of Alpine in 2021–22, and the rumor suggested that he was planning to go back to the team amid his struggles at Aston Martin. When asked about Alonso venturing into Alpine's garage so frequently and casually, Aston Martin Team Principal Andy Cowell told Sky Sports, 'I'm happy for Fernando to wander into any garage. He knows lots of people up and down the pit lane.' He further added about Alonso's future at the team, 'I'm also happy with the fact that he's contracted to us next year and hopefully will stay with us long term as an ambassador with us. It's great working with Fernando, it's always good to have a competitive person that pushes just like you used to [Rosberg] at Mercedes and pushes the team on and galvanises the team.' Fernando Alonso's future at Aston Martin Aston Martin hopes to turn the tables in 2026 when the new regulations are put in place, from which they intend to benefit, with their new technical director Adrian Newey putting in his best to create the best car for 2026. Fernando Alonso recently told the media, including "It has been challenging, but we have understood and we know the problem in the car now, but we cannot put too much focus into solving the problem." He further said, "Even if there is a change in regulations, we need to somehow find better performance with this year's car, and we need to be better. Even if we had a fast car now, there are a couple of areas we need to keep improving, so we are trying to use 2025 to tackle these and be ready for [Newey] as well." IND vs ENG: Did India backpedal on Shardul Thakur? Gautam Gambhir's statement before Australia series offers contrast

(AP Photo) NEW DELHI: In a twist to India's selection strategy, Shardul Thakur was named in the playing XI for the first Test against England at Headingley, raising eyebrows over the team's sudden pivot from recent choices. Just a few months ago, ahead of the Australia tour, head coach Gautam Gambhir had indicated that the selectors had moved on from the Mumbai all-rounder. Live Score: India vs England, 1st Test Day 1 The Indian team, now under the leadership of Shubman Gill, is entering a new red-ball era after the retirements of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin. But the inclusion of 33-year-old Thakur as the fourth pacer alongside Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna is being seen as a possible contradiction to the forward-looking stance taken earlier. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Before India left for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, Gambhir had openly backed youngster Nitish Kumar Reddy over Thakur. "It is also about moving forward," Gambhir had said at the pre-departure press conference. "We have picked the best squad who can do the job for us. Nitish Reddy, we all know how incredibly talented he is and if given an option, he will deliver for us." Poll Has the selection of Shardul Thakur contradicted the earlier selection strategy? Yes, it seems contradictory No, it's a tactical decision Thakur, however, now finds himself in the thick of action in England - a country where he has previously performed well, taking 10 wickets and scoring 173 runs in four matches on the last tour. While Gambhir's words then suggested a changing of the guard, India's team sheet in Leeds reveals a more pragmatic selection - perhaps dictated by Thakur's past success in English conditions, or a shift in thinking. IND vs ENG: Did Sanjay Manjrekar take a dig at Virat Kohli in commentary? Watch video
File photo of Sanjay Manjrekar and Virat Kohli. Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar seemingly made indirect comments about Virat Kohli during the commentary of the first Test match between India and England at Headingley, Leeds on June 20. The remarks came during the 21st over of India's innings when the team were 77/0, with KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal at the crease. LIVE: India vs England 1st Test Day 1 Manjrekar's comments focused on the batting approach of the Indian openers, particularly their handling of deliveries outside the off-stump. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! While analysing the batting performance, Manjrekar initially praised the discipline shown by the Indian openers. He stressed how they were playing according to the merit of the ball despite the seemingly batting-friendly conditions. How Shubman Gill prepared for the first Test vs England in Leeds | Exclusive from Nets "Many would see this session and would think the pitch is placid. The seam bowlers haven't looked potent, one important reason it is seeing that way is these two have batted well. Potentially wicket-taking, outside the off-stump full and they have been left alone. Jaiswal has done that, anything that has pitched right up into the stump is driven anything that has pitched wide is not disturbed," Manjrekar said. The commentary took a different turn when Brydon Carse bowled a delivery on the sixth stump line to KL Rahul, who left it alone. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? We know of a former batter that would have gone after it and got himself into trouble but not these two," Manjrekar remarked during the live broadcast. The reference appeared to be directed at Kohli , who had recently announced his retirement from Test cricket. The context became clearer considering Kohli's performance during India's previous tour of Australia, where he was dismissed eight out of nine times while attempting to play deliveries pitched on the fifth and sixth stump line. Nick Knight EXCLUSIVE: On Shubman Gill and absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma in England The match proceeded with India's opening partnership reaching 91 runs before KL Rahul was dismissed by Brydon Carse for 42 runs off 78 balls. Rahul's dismissal came when he attempted to play a wide delivery outside off-stump, which resulted in an edge carried to Joe Root in the slip cordon. Following Rahul's wicket, debutant Sai Sudharsan was dismissed for a four-ball duck in the next over bowled by Ben Stokes. Sudharsan was caught behind by wicketkeeper Jamie Smith.
