Bill Belichick reportedly made Jordon Hudson wear a specific outfit before revealing their secret romance
Report reveals Bill Belichick asked Jordon Hudson to dress a certain way to keep romance under wraps (Getty Images)
The romance between legendary football coach
Bill Belichick
and former cheerleader
Jordon Hudson
has been making waves—partly due to their significant age gap, but more so because of the intriguing layers of their relationship.
Now, a new report reveals that long before they stepped out as a couple, Belichick had made a unique and very specific request to Hudson: wear red pants to Patriots training camp.
Bill Belichick's romance with Jordon Hudson involved secret clothing codes
An anonymous source told The New York Times that Bill Belichick, then still leading the New England Patriots, had asked his girlfriend to wear red pants during practices. 'When she attended training camp practices, she often wore red pants at the request of Mr.
Belichick, so that he might more easily spot her in the crowd,' the source claimed. The detail offers a glimpse into a relationship that had been carefully kept under wraps for some time.
Their story began on a 2021 flight from Boston to Florida, when Hudson—a college cheerleader at the time—reportedly sat next to Belichick and asked him to autograph a textbook. That seemingly ordinary encounter turned into a lasting connection, and although dating rumors didn't surface until 2023, the pair had been in touch since that flight.
According to TMZ, they became romantically involved after Belichick ended his relationship with longtime partner Linda Holliday.
Their relationship remained low-key for a while, with Hudson 'frequently' staying with Belichick at a local hotel the night before Patriots home games during the 2023-24 NFL season. They finally made their public debut in December 2024, arm-in-arm at the Museum Gala in New York, followed by another appearance at the NFL Honors in February.
Hudson turned heads with her glamorous red-carpet looks, while Belichick maintained his signature understated style.
Yet, their relationship has not been without controversy. During a 'CBS Sunday Morning' interview in April, an uncomfortable moment unfolded when journalist Tony Dokoupil asked how the couple met. Hudson cut in sharply: 'We're not talking about that.' Dokoupil later described her as a 'constant presence' and suggested both were uneasy discussing their relationship.
The exchange sparked online speculation, with Megyn Kelly raising concerns about 'coercive control,' and Barstool's Dave Portnoy stating it was 'clear' Hudson was the one in charge.
Belichick responded to the backlash with a public statement, claiming CBS failed to honor their agreement to keep the conversation focused on his book The Art of Winning. He defended Hudson's interruption, saying it came only after several failed attempts to steer the discussion back on topic.
More recently, The New York Times reported that Hudson had been banned from the football facility at the University of North Carolina, where Belichick now serves in a consulting role. Despite the drama, she continues to make headlines, most recently as the second runner-up at the Miss Maine USA pageant. Privately, she has reportedly told at least one person she's now engaged to the iconic coach.
While Belichick's game-day strategies are no longer making headlines, his off-field playbook certainly has the public's attention.
