Patriots rookie WR Kyle Williams says he treats the football like "a bag of money"
Patriots rookie Kyle Williams knows what wide receivers get paid to do in the NFL, and he doesn't want to drop the bag. Williams told WEEI that he views the football as like a bag of money, and his livelihood depends on catching it. 'My mindset is don't drop the money. Every time the ball is there, it's a bag of money. We can't let that hit the floor, because [then] that's somebody else's. Just being able to make those plays, just showing that I can compete against those top-tier guys in the league,' Williams said. A third-round draft pick, Williams signed a four-year, $6.7 million contract with the Patriots. That contract was set by the rookie pay scale in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, but any future bags of money he gets will be determined by how well he catches the football while playing on his rookie deal.

Bills QB Josh Allen makes honest admission on Patriots QB Drake Maye
Bills QB Josh Allen makes honest admission on Patriots QB Drake Maye Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has more than just respect for New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. He admitted that Maye is one of his favorite young quarterbacks in the NFL. That sets the stage for an interesting rivalry with Maye and Allen facing each other twice every season. Allen is the reigning NFL MVP and the face of the league, while Maye is the promising newcomer determined to one day take the throne. "I think Drake is super talented, he's one of my favorite young quarterbacks in the league," Allen told Sports Illustrated's Liam McKeone. "I've spent some time around him and he's got his head on his shoulders the right way. He just does things the right way. I think that he exemplifies football." Maye made the Pro Bowl and teased his elite potential as a franchise quarterback for New England in his rookie season. Getting a ringing endorsement from Allen isn't something to downplay. Maye will be in a position to take things to the next level in 2025 with an improved offensive line, more weapons and a much more experienced coaching staff. The Bills are still at the top of the mountain in the AFC East, but Maye and the Patriots might finally be closing the gap. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Tom Brady stuns fans with new picture of his incredible physique at 47
NFL legendary quarterback and current Fox broadcaster Tom Brady has stunned fans with a new Instagram post where he posted new photos on his incredible physique at 47 years old. One of the photos from the quintet Brady posted to social media included a full-body shot, where the former Buccaneer and Patriots signal caller is shirtless, wearing only workout shorts. Brady is promoting the athletic shoe brand NOBULL with the post, where the exact pair of sneakers he is wearing are only visible in the shirtless photo. The future Hall of Famer's sneakers are gray, or the 'arctic gum' brand. '@nobull shows up wherever life takes you. At home, on the road, at work, or halfway across the world, the mindset travels with you,' Brady said in the post's caption. 'I'm always amazed by what the human body can do, and I'll always be committed to moving with purpose, one day at a time. No shortcuts, no noise, just the work and the will to keep showing up. NOBULL. #LFG' Brady can also be seen in two of the photos using a leg press, which appears to be at a high weight with one of his faces being a little in agony. The commentator also posted a pair of photos of him more in the dark during his workout. In recent weeks, Brady has been traveling the globe with two of his kids, Vivian and Benjamin, as they are off from school. In an Instagram carousel post recapping the Japanese part of the vacation, Brady can be seen holding a samurai sword, watching some sumo wrestling and posing with his kids in several different settings. In one photo, Brady even showed off a cake with a Raiders logo on it presented to his family at a restaurant. 'Japan we love you! We had SO MUCH FUN! Thank you for your hospitality and beauty!,' he wrote on Instagram.

We hit 80 in our Raiders countdown to kickoff. Who wore it best and who's wearing it now
We hit 80 in our Raiders countdown to kickoff. Who wore it best and who's wearing it now We've reached 80 days until the Raiders season opener at Foxboro against the Patriots, With our countdown at 80 days we take a look at who currently dons the number in Silver & Black and who has brought it the most distinction. No. 80 Who's wearing it now: TE Ian Thomas This eighth year veteran has spent his entire career up to this point with the Carolina Panthers. He joins the Raiders as a solid number three tight end option behind Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer. He's a solid 6-4, 260 pounds with some decent hands but even better blocking and special teams abilities. Who wore it best: WR Jerry Rice The GOAT joined the Raiders in 2001 at the age of 39. In his second season with the team, at the age of 40, he put up over 1200 yards receiving (1211), made his 13th career Pro Bowl and the Raiders were in the Super Bowl. In 54 games over four seasons in Oakland, Rice put up 243 catches for 3286 yards and 18 touchdowns. Honorable Mention: TE Zach Miller Miller was a second round pick by the Raiders in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played four seasons for the Raiders, making one Pro Bowl. He may have had more success except he joined the Raiders during some very bad years. This included two years of JaMarcus Russell and three years in which they couldn't get more than five wins in a season.

Patriots legend Matthew Slater reveals the best special teamer in NFL
Patriots legend Matthew Slater reveals the best special teamer in NFL Some NFL fans view New England Patriots legend Matthew Slater as the greatest special teams player of all time. So Slater's opinion on who currently carries the distinction as the NFL's best special teamer is held in high regard. The resume speaks for itself when it comes to Slater, a 10-time Pro Bowler, two-time First-Team All-Pro and a three-time Super Bowl champion. When appearing on the "Dudes on Dudes" podcast, Slater admitted he was biased, but he picked a clear winner for the NFL's best special teams player currently. 'I have a extreme bias, but to me it's Brenden Schooler,' said Slater, as transcribed by NESN's Sophie Weller. 'To me, there's really no weakness in his game. We always talk about covering kicks and making plays that impact coverage, but in the return game, it's very rare that the guy he's blocking will be even close to the football. He's a dominant player in the return game.' Schooler has certainly lived up to the hype. He was named a First-Team All-Pro in 2024, and he also made the Pro Bowl in 2025. As a rookie, he earned the PFWA All-Rookie Team honors in 2022, and he was named an NFLPA All-Pro in 2023. There is no replacing a legend like Slater on the Patriots' football team. However, Schooler has done a tremendous job of carving his own path to greatness. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.
