Tow truck driver charged for alleged reckless driving
A tow truck operator from the Peel region is facing multiple charges after their driving habits sparked a police investigation.
According to Caledon OPP, officers began investigating the Brampton operator on April 26 after observing video footage of them driving in an unsafe manner.
Police say the video showed the driver exiting the paved portion of a Brampton road and mounting onto the sidewalk to bypass traffic before proceeding through a red light.
The 27-year-old was charged with stunt driving, careless driving, and failing to stop at a red light.
The driver's licence was suspended for 30 days and they are scheduled for a future appearance in a Caledon court.
