The Modified S-Presso: Upgrades
GH Style gives the S-Presso a rugged look similar to the Suzuki Jimny. The front is updated with new circular LED projector headlights, a classic grille with 'Suzuki' lettering, and a strong bumper with round fog lights. Meanwhile, Suzuki Motorcycle India is preparing to enter the electric mobility space with the upcoming Suzuki e Access. Although the scooter is yet to be launched officially, it has already sparked interest among enthusiasts and EV buyers. Once introduced, it will go up against well-established electric scooters like the Honda Activa e:, Ola S1 X+, and notably, the newly launched Chetak 3001. When it comes to pricing, the Bajaj Chetak 3001 holds a significant advantage. With its sub- ₹ 1 lakh price tag, it undercuts most of its direct rivals. The Suzuki e Access, while also featuring a 3 kWh battery, delivers a shorter range of 95 km. This is due to its less energy-dense LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery cells, which prioritize safety and longevity over range. However, the e Access compensates with fast charging support, enabling a full charge in 2 hours and 45 minutes, while a standard charge takes approximately 6 hours and 42 minutes. Additionally, it edges out the Chetak 3001 slightly in terms of top speed, clocking in at 71 kmph. The Bajaj Chetak 3001 appears to be a smart choice for riders seeking affordability and reliable range without the need for fast charging. On the other hand, the Suzuki e Access, though more expensive, brings in faster charging and a higher top speed — appealing to those prioritizing performance and charging convenience. Ultimately, both scooters serve different customer needs, and the final choice will depend on individual preferences, commute patterns, and budget considerations. As competition heats up in the EV segment, Indian buyers are the real winners with more choices and better tech on offer.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class, EQS, GLC, & SL 55 AMG recalled in India for potential fire risk

This is sixth recall from Mercedes-Benz in India this year and third related to a potential fire risk Check Offers Mercedes-Benz India has issued a voluntary recall for the S-Class, S-Class Maybach, SL 55 AMG, GLC and EQS models for a potential fire risk. The recall involves an issue with the fuse boxes on each of the vehicles, which may not have been correctly reworked. The voluntary recalls affect 30 vehicles and are the brand's sixth recall in the country this year. The recall details shared with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) read, 'It has been identified that the fuse boxes might not have been reworked correctly. As a result, systems connected to the fuse might fail, and the vehicle might lose its propulsion without prior warning, and the restraint functions or the instrument cluster might also be impaired, increasing the risk of a crash and injuries. Under such specific circumstances, a potential risk of a thermal incident in the vehicle cannot be excluded." The Mercedes-Benz S-Class range affected was manufactured between June 22, 2023, and March 20, 2024. The SL 55 AMGs were manufactured July 5, 2023, and August 28, 2024. Both the petrol and diesel versions of the GLC have been affected and were manufactured between September 9 and December 4, 2023. Lastly, the Mercedes EQS manufactured between July 19, 2023, and April 8, 2024, comes under the recall. Mercedes-Benz recalls in 2025 Mercedes-Benz India is expected to reach out to customers individually to address the concerns and carry out the necessary repairs, free of charge. Previously, the automaker recalled seven AMG S 63 E Performance and three AMG GT 63S 4MATIC+ E models over a processor overload issue. The other recalls issued on March 12 and March 29 this year, respectively, were linked to potential fire risks.
