Cristopher Diwata, the guy behind the viral "What hafen Vella" trend, has hit another milestone: finally purchasing his own car!
On TikTok, his wife, Ronalyn Diwata, shared photos of their family posing with their big purchase.
"Thank you sa mga [sumuporta] sa asawa ko dahil po sa inyo natupad niya unti-unti pangarap niya," Ronalyn wrote in the caption.
Cristopher told GMA News Online that he got to afford the second-hand vehicle because of his many gigs in recent days, which he expressed deep gratitude for.
"Sa mga brands po na nakakatrabaho ko po, maraming salamat po sa pagtitiwala. At sa mga supporters ko po maraming salamat po sa mga good comment sa pagbili ko po ng kotse po para mas mapadali po ang mga lakad ko po," he said.
He acknowledged concerns from some followers about the brand of the car he chose but emphasized how far he's come and how unexpected this moment is for him.
"Sa mga concern po na dahil po sa brand ng unit na sirain daw po.. Lagi po natin tandaan hindi po natin alam ang mangyayari bukas at sa mga susunod pa po like sa nangyari sa buhay ko ni mismong ako po 'di ko inaakala na makakabili po ko ng ganito. Dahil sa hirap ng buhay.. Malay n'yo po bago pa 'to masira dahil sa mga supporta n'yo eh mas malaking service na po ang mabili natin," Cristopher said.
He also humbly asked for continued support, promising to stay grounded amid his great success.
"Sana po wag po kayo magsawang sumuporta po sakin.. At hinding-hindi po ako magbabago sa pagkakakilala n'yo po sakin.. Salamat po mga vela, vampire at mga ka wolf.. I love you all... Raket endorsement ryt," he said.
Cristopher joined the "It's Showtime" segment Kalokalike 12 years ago. A video of his performance as Taylor Lautner, the Jacob Black of the "Twilight" films, recently resurfaced and went viral on social media.
He has since collaborated with brands, artists, content creators who joined the trend started by his iconic lines, "What hafen, Vella? Why you cryin' again? I know, vampire, right? Vampire will feyt to me."
He is set to make a guest appearance on "Mga Batang Riles." —MGP, GMA Integrated News

Klarisse De Guzman returns to 'It's Showtime' stage

'Madlang People, OA!' This was how Klarisse De Guzman greeted the 'It's Showtime' audience on Saturday. The singer performed a full-blown production number to Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' and 'Fighter.' After her performance, host Vhong Navarro said Klarisse was 'napaka OA sa galing.' Jhong Hilario added, 'Grabe 'yung galing, ang OA.' Klarisse also reenacted her iconic, 'OA! Sorry ah,' from her confrontation with Dustin Yu on 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.' The singer said she is happy to be back on 'It's Showtime.' 'Sobrang saya, na-miss ko po 'tong Showtime,' she said. 'Sobrang na-miss kong kumanta after three months and one week, nakakanta na ulit ako.' She added, 'Nang ibang bansa po muna 'ko as kusinera. Klang also teased the ABS-CBN bosses to give her a cooking show. She thanked everybody who supported her, 'PBB,' and her duo partner Shuvee Etrata. 'Grabe, actually hindi po talaga namin in-expect na ganto. Nagulat po 'ko sa paglabas ko na ganto pala karami ang nanood ng 'PBB Collab,' she said. 'Maraming salamat po sa pagmamahal, hindi po ako makapaniwala. Feeling Gen Z na ulit ako kung kailan tumanda,' she added. 'Thank you sa lahat ng nagmahal kay Mowm.' Klarisse also shared that she wanted to join the reality show to present a new side of her. 'Hindi lang singer, minsan baliw din, kalog.' Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu commended Klang for being true to herself and coming out of the closet. Vice Ganda asked Klang, 'Happyng happy ka?' 'Yes kasi finally, hindi na takot. Wala na 'kong tinatago. Isa na 'kong bahaghari. I'm proud of that,' Klang replied. "Sobrang saya na di ko in-expect na matatanggap din 'yun ng tao. Actually, 'yun po 'yung worry ko sa labas.' Klarisse also has a message for her partner, who she said is her support system. 'Hi Trina, thank you dahil hindi mo 'ko iniwan kahit sa mga pagkakataong hindi kita mapagsigawan. And ito finally, masasabi ko na, I love you, Trina.' 'Love wins! Happy Pride, everyone,' she added. In 2021, Klang was a judge on the 'It's Showtime' segment, Tawag ng Tanghalan. Klarisse and Shuvee exited the "PBB" house last week after their duo received the lowest vote percentage of 31.50%. Along with the other evicted housemates, they reentered Bahay ni Kuya as duo challengers. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News

‘Mga Batang Riles' ends chapter with justice served and brighter tomorrows

'Mga Batang Riles' served a gripping finale that delivered a rollercoaster of emotions as it closed the chapter on the boys' tumultuous journey. The episode opened in the heat of chaos as the boys rushed to save Kidlat (Miguel Tanfelix), who was inside a burning building. In a dramatic turn, it was his biological father, Rendon (Jay Manalo), who came to his rescue. Kidlat managed to escape and was tearfully reunited with his mother, Maying (Diana Zubiri), and his found family, Dagul (Anton Vinzon), Kulot (Kokoy de Santos), and Sig (Raheel Bhyria). Inside the flames, Rendon made the ultimate sacrifice, choosing to stay with Matos (Bruce Roeland) in their final moments. Kidlat and the others attempted to save them, only to witness the building collapse before their eyes. Following the tragedy, a more emotional reunion unfolded between Dagul and Dolor (Ynez Veneracion), who, for the first time, showed genuine care and regret for how she had treated him. The two embraced, symbolizing healing after years of distance. As the flames of the past settled, Kidlat wrestled with his emotions over Matos' death, once a friend, then a foe, and Rendon, the father who saved him despite their bitter history. Maying reminded him of the strength he showed. The residents of Sitio Liwanag, wounded but unbroken, gathered with newfound hope and pledged to start anew. The final act brought long-awaited justice as Argus (Jeric Raval) was captured and exposed Scarlett (Desiree Del Valle) as the mastermind behind the arson that devastated Sitio Liwanag. With this revelation, the people finally got the justice they deserved. The young heroes also took their first steps into new lives: Dagul became a police officer, Kulot an engineer, and Sig, now with Lady, who successfully received a transplant, looked forward to the future. Kidlat became a martial arts teacher, continuing to inspire strength and discipline in others. Mutya (Zephanie), who pursued her dream of becoming a nurse, remained by Kidlat's side as his partner. In a fitting final scene, the boys were seen chasing after a thief, symbolizing their undying courage and readiness to stand up for what is right. —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News
