Israeli jets target Tehran nuclear military sites, Iran barrage hits Israel

Shafaq News7 hours ago

Shafaq News/ The Israeli military announced on Friday that its air force launched extensive overnight airstrikes targeting dozens of military facilities in and around the Iranian capital, Tehran.
According to a statement, more than 60 fighter jets participated in the operation, dropping approximately 120 munitions on sites linked to Iran's defense and nuclear infrastructure.
The Israeli army said the strikes focused on industrial facilities used for missile production, describing them as longstanding strategic hubs for Iran's Ministry of Defense. The targets included factories producing missile components and raw materials for rocket engines.
The military also confirmed it struck the headquarters of SEPAND — Iran's Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research — established in 2011 by Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the scientist widely regarded as the architect of Iran's military nuclear program.
In addition, another facility reportedly involved in the production of key components for Iran's nuclear weapons program was hit.

Iraqi Counter-Terrorism launches operation against ISIS in Kirkuk

Shafaq News/ Iraqi counter-terrorism forces launched a targeted military operation in southern Kirkuk on Friday, destroying ISIS hideouts in a rugged valley long used as a base by the group. A security source told Shafaq News Agency that elite units from the Counter-Terrorism Service, backed by air support, conducted a field operation in Wadi al-Shay, within the Daquq district, south of Kirkuk, destroying several ISIS shelters used for movement and concealment. No casualties were reported among Iraqi forces, according to the source, who noted that further preemptive operations will continue in Wadi al-Shay and surrounding areas to sever supply lines and deny the militants haven. Wadi al-Shay is one of the most challenging terrains in southern Kirkuk, with dense vegetation and interwoven hills. It has served as a strategic hideout for ISIS remnants since the group's territorial defeat. The valley has seen repeated operations since 2018 by the Counter-Terrorism Service and Rapid Response Forces. Its location — linking Kirkuk with the Hamrin Mountains and stretching toward Diyala and Saladin provinces — makes it a critical corridor used by militants to move and launch attacks.

Iran arrests 16 over alleged Israeli ties

Shafaq News/ Iran's Revolutionary Guard Intelligence has detained 16 individuals in Lorestan province accused of collaborating with Israeli intelligence, Mehr News Agency reported on Friday. The suspects are also accused of circulating fabricated content, sending images to hostile media outlets, and disseminating material intended to incite unrest and erode public unity. In a statement, the Guard's public relations office warned that any activity aligned with 'enemy objectives'—whether online or offline—will be continuously monitored and firmly countered. Tehran has detained dozens on similar charges since last Friday, when Israel launched airstrikes on the Iranian capital, prompting missile and drone retaliation. Despite mounting international pressure, the conflict continues to escalate.
