NEW DELHI, June 23 (Bernama) -- Bitget, the leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has officially onboarded onto India's Sahyog portal, a key interface under the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) framework. The portal facilitates direct and structured communication between law enforcement agencies and digital service providers. This development marks an important step in enhancing cooperation between virtual asset platforms and Indian authorities engaged in cybercrime investigations.
The Sahyog portal serves as a centralized system that allows law enforcement to submit legal requests for data disclosure in accordance with Section 94 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act. These provisions enable Indian authorities to seek access to digital evidence, user data, and transaction records from service providers in connection with active investigations. Bitget's integration ensures that future requests can be managed through an established, secure, and legally compliant channel.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for all technical issues involving various government agencies related to national development projects to be resolved promptly to ensure smooth implementation. In a post on the X platform, Anwar said the issues involving the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister's Department, state governments, implementing agencies and project owners must be addressed through the Special Task Force on Agency Reform (STAR), chaired by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar. 'The MADANI government must act more proactively, operate efficiently and focus on decisive solutions. Every ringgit allocated under the Malaysia Plan must be optimised for the well-being of the people,' he said after chairing the National Development Action Council Meeting today. The meeting focused on three main matters - outcomes of the Special State Development Meeting, improvements in project implementation by the Public Works Department (JKR) and the implementation of vertical schools in major urban areas. Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said delays in project implementation and bureaucratic hurdles inherited since the 1980s must not be repeated. 'We cannot afford to repeat the same failures. Time does not wait for us, and the people demand action, not excuses,' Anwar stressed. Touching on the need to address the realities of increasingly dense urban development, Anwar said the government is committed to introducing a new approach in the provision of educational infrastructure through the vertical school model in locations such as Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Penang. 'With the support of private developers, the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) and the Ministry of Education will work closely to ensure the success of this initiative, so that access to quality education remains assured for urban children despite limited space,' he said. -- BERNAMA

JERTIH, June 23 (Bernama) -- The mother of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) student Nur Erika Alisya Mohd Zaidi, who was seriously injured in the tragic road accident on the East-West Highway in Gerik, Perak on June 9, has called on the public to pray for her daughter's speedy recovery. Noorzailizan Zakaria@ Ariffin, 41, said her daughter, who sustained injuries to both hands and her neck, could only lie in bed at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) in Kuala Terengganu after being flown from the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak, via the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department helicopter on Saturday (June 21). "She's in stable condition and has shown positive development, but she needs help with her movements because she can't move her hands properly due to the many fractures sustained. "Nur Erika Alisya's right hand has had rods inserted into her shoulder, elbow and wrist as well as into the elbow and wrist of her left hand. She also has to wear a neck brace due to a fracture,' she said when contacted by Bernama today. The housewife, who lives in Kampung Alor Keladi in Hulu Besut near here, said that she and her 45-year-old husband, who works as an assistant handyman, currently take turns to care for the eldest of three siblings. Noorzailizan said that the 21-year-old Nur Erika Alisya is still traumatised and often recalls the tragic incident, which claimed the lives of 15 of her campus friends. "For example, during the ambulance ride from the Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Nerus to HSNZ on Saturday, she was scared and cried throughout the journey. She also dislikes having the ceiling fan switched on at full speed as it causes her to recall the tragic incident,' she said. Noorzailizan hopes that her daughter, who is a Bachelor of Islamic Education student, will recover quickly so that she can pursue her ambition to become an ustazah (religious teacher). In the early morning incident on June 9, 15 UPSI students died when a bus specially rented from Jertih to return to the university's main campus in Tanjung Malim, Perak, overturned after being involved in an accident with a Perodua Alza on the highway.

Participants Of Gempur Rasuah 2.0 Rally Under Probe For Nine Offences
KOTA KINABALU, June 23 (Bernama) -- Participants of the Gempur Rasuah 2.0 rally are being investigated for nine offences related to the peaceful assembly held last Saturday (June 21), Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said. He said the offences include incitement, open burning in a public area, possession of dangerous or corrosive substances during the rally, and raising sensitive issues involving royalty, religion, and race (3R). Investigations are being conducted not only under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 but also under the Sedition Act 1948 and the Penal Code. To date, we've received six police reports related to this case and opened three investigation papers covering nine offences. There were incidents during the rally that should not have occurred. 'No arrests have been made so far, but beginning today, several individuals involved will be called in to provide their statements,' he told a press conference at the Sabah Police Headquarters here today. The rally, organised by Suara Mahasiswa Universiti Malaysia Sabah, included a march through Kota Kinabalu and placards highlighting various issues in Sabah, such as corruption and water supply. Participants also burned a caricature of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Jauteh said the organisers had submitted a notification to the police, as required under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012. Police then responded with 15 conditions to ensure public order was maintained. 'Many people misunderstand the process. The Act does not approve or license rallies — it simply outlines the procedure for organisers to notify the police, and for the police to respond. Our role is to help maintain public order and safeguard everyone involved, including the participants. 'Unfortunately, in this case, the organisers failed to comply with the stated conditions. While voicing their concerns is their right, it must be done responsibly and without provocation,' he said.
