Air India black box is found
Air India investigators have made a major discovery in their search for answers as to what happened to flight AI 171, which crashed on takeoff from Ahmadabad airport on Thursday afternoon.
One Black Box Data Flight Recorder has been recovered and sent for analysis and there are unconfirmed reports that a second black box has also been recovered. These vital pieces of the puzzle will hold a lot of answers to the question on everyone's mind, just 'what happened' to make a state of the art Boeing 787 Dreamliner fall from the sky.
Its known the experienced pilots issued a 'Mayday' call seconds after takeoff but when air traffic control responded to their distress call, they got no reply from the flight deck and the jet crashed seconds later. The death toll currently stands at 279 souls, but investigators have not ruled out the possibility of finding more people in the wreckage of the aircraft, and on the ground in and around the hostel which housed Medical students, into which the plane crashed and exploded in a fireball on impact.
A team of four UK aviation accident experts have arrived in Ahmedabad, in the western Indian state of Gujarat, to assist in the crash investigation which is expected to take three months to complete. Meanwhile families of passengers have gathered at the Civil Hospital in Ahmadabad where the dead were taken, and relatives have been giving DNA samples to doctors to try to identify their family members.
As the investigation into the deadly crash gets underway, the only survivor of the impact has been giving his account of what happened to police and investigators.
Vishwash Kumar Ramesh who was travelling in seat 11A is the only miracle survivor who walked out of the wreckage with cuts and bruises. His information will be of vital importance to investigators as they try to piece together exactly how this dreadful tragedy unfolded, what led to the aircraft seeming to stall in mid-air and then crash to earth with the loss, as of today, 279 precious lives.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called on the organisers of Glastonbury Festival to pull Kneecap from their line-up, stating it is 'not appropriate.' Philip Ingram, a global defence expert, told The Sun: 'Iranian ballistic missiles will not reach the United States and therefore to try and respond to the United States attack Iran 's going to have to do something different. 'It also ties up international geopolitical organisations and politicians in a complex Middle East situation - so again they don't have the capacity to focus on what Russia's doing in Ukraine ." Chip Chapman said that the most immediate threat to western allies would be if Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz - which could even see the UK dragged into the conflict. He said: "20 percent of the world's oil runs through the strait. Closing it could have huge implications for the oil price. 'And that's where the Brits may get involved. Two of the key players were Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon - but over the past 20 months Israel has seriously crippled them. However, Ingram says the Houthis in Yemen still pose a threat to the world other. He said: "I think we will see a massive uptake in Houthi activity in disrupting international shipping in the Red Sea." Ingram said: "If there Ayatollah was killed it could change the whole way the government is set up in Iran, like we had with the fall of the Shah. "Then you whatever comes in next could be worse than what's in now and more polarised." 7 The US strikes could also prove a spark to other flash points around the world - such as the China-Taiwan tensions. Ingram said 'China will likely sit back and wait to see what's happening, to begin with. "Xi Jinping might think the international community is so tied up in the Middle East, that he has a window of opportunity, and he might try and take Taiwan. 'The world is not just a more febrile place, but the potentials for a series of events to happen to take us into a global conflict have just become even more complex to try and analyse. 'We haven't moved away from conflict. We have moved away from a despot regime getting towns on nuclear weapons, but it's not made the world immediately safer. 'What happens over the coming days and weeks will let us understand as to whether we have moved back from the brink of a global conflict or move further forward.'
