Illegal commercial properties in Pkl villages to be sealed

Panchkula: Illegal hotels and commercial properties constructed in village areas without necessary permissions or Change of Land Use (CLU) approval will be sealed immediately.
This decision was made in a meeting of the revenue realization committee of the Panchkula municipal corporation held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of mayor Kulbhushan Goyal and committee chairman Suresh Verma.
To conduct inspections, one building inspector and two assistant program officers (APOs) have been assigned. They will survey the villages and submit a report within a week. Properties without approved building plans or CLU will be subject to sealing and CLU charges will be recovered from the owners.
Until the fees are paid, the properties will remain sealed.
Preparations are also underway to demolish 45 unauthorized farmhouses on Kot Billa Road within a week. These structures, which are reportedly being used for illegal night time parties, will be razed after issuing necessary notices.
Rs 3.62 crore dues from mobile tower companies
Out of 341 mobile towers installed in the city, payments are pending for 137. These include 42 towers from Indus, 33 from ATC, 36 from Jio, and 36 from BSNL and Airtel.

H yderabad: In a sign of a revival of the real estate boom in the city, the Telangana Housing Board sold a commercial plot for Rs 33 crore and another plot for Rs 11 crore in Gachibowli. The board auctioned plots in Gachibowli, Chintal, Nizampet, and other places on Monday, generating a total of Rs 65 crore. According to Telangana Housing Board (THB) commissioner VP Gautam, of the 11 plots auctioned, one commercial land parcel measuring 1,487 square yards in Gachibowli was sold at Rs 2.20 lakh per square yard, thereby fetching Rs 33 crore. The govt had fixed Rs 1.20 lakh per square yard as the upset price for the land. In the same locality, land earmarked for schools, for which the govt fixed Rs 80,000 per square yard, was sold for Rs 1.12 lakh per yard. Additionally, two Middle Income Group (MIG) plots in the area were sold for Rs 1.86 lakh and Rs 1.32 lakh per square yard, respectively. Officials said that auctions in Gachibowli alone fetched Rs 56 crore for the board. Plots in Chintal and Qutubullapur also fetched good prices. T'puram: Kerala Automobiles Ltd (KAL) has developed three new electric vehicles with the aim of reaching new markets and consumers. The mini e-cart, with a track width of 60cm and capable of carrying 150kg, is suitable for transporting goods within campuses, farms, construction sites and narrow paths, as well as for waste removal. The mini e-cart plus, developed by KAL, with a track width of 85cm and capable of carrying 310kg, can be used for various cargo transportation needs. The inauguration of these vehicles will be done by industry minister P Rajeev at KAL campus on Wednesday. Along with this, inauguration of the specially designed ice cream carts for Milma will also be held. Animal husbandry minister J Chinchu Rani will receive the keys to the ice cream carts and will flag them off at KAL. Ahmedabad: A 49-year-old woman from the Bopal area of Ahmedabad, who works with the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), filed a police complaint on Monday after losing Rs 2 lakh to an online investment fraud between May 5 and 22. According to the complaint, she was browsing Facebook when she saw a post about an investment opportunity. She contacted a number mentioned in the online post, which led to further discussions on WhatsApp. She was asked to fill out a form and later received messages from a person who introduced herself as Aradhya Mishra. The complainant was told to download a mobile application for investment purposes. She was then asked to begin investing money. Following the instructions, she made two online transfers of Rs 50,000 each on May 7 and 8. She was shown that her investments had registered a profit. On May 20, she transferred Rs 1.21 lakh and on May 21, Rs 2 lakh more to different accounts through an online payment method for investment purposes.
