Arsenal set price for AC Milan to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko
Arsenal would be prepared to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko to AC Milan should they receive an offer of £17million for the full-back this summer, according to reports in Italy. Zinchenko has enjoyed three seasons with the Gunners having followed Mikel Arteta from Manchester City to the Emirates in a deal worth around £30m back in 2022. Though the 28-year-old has failed to win any silverware in that time, he has proven to be an influential member of the dressing room and his versatility has been invaluable for Arteta. But the meteoric rise of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori's arrival from Bologna have combined to block Zinchenko's path to Arteta's starting XI. Zinchenko's current contract is due to expire in 2026, meaning Arsenal must decide whether to cash in on the Ukrainian now or risk losing him on a free transfer in 12 months' time. AC Milan have been alerted to a potential deal, with the club's sporting director Igli Tare in contact with intermediaries managing Zinchenko's possible departure from north London. According to Corriere dello Sport, Milan – who are looking to find a replacement for the Al-Hilal-bound Theo Hernandez – can close a deal for Zinchenko with a bid in the region of £17m. The report claims Zinchenko's wage demands are the 'only obstacle' blocking the Ukraine international's path to the San Siro. Zinchenko is said to 'open' to prospect of joining the Rossoneri, with the former Manchester City man keen to secure regular playing time ahead of the new season. The Serie A giants are also looking at Club Brugge's Maxim De Cuyper as a potential solution at left-back should they fail in pursuit of Zinchenko. Back in March, Zinchenko – who has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund – admitted he was unsure what lay ahead for his future after dropping down the pecking order at Arsenal. 'I don't know yet to be honest,' he said at the time. 'If I knew, I could tell you. It's still a long way to go until the end of the season. 'I think we are at the stage and the most interesting period of the season, where every single game is a final and you never know what is going to happen in football.' More Trending Despite his somewhat peripheral role, Zinchenko was keen to stress that he remained 'so happy' at Arsenal and intent on 'making an impact' at every possible opportunity. 'Honestly, I am so happy to be part of this amazing club and team. It is really a joy to be close to these guys,' he added. 'Whenever the team and head coach needs me, I am there. In any position they need me, I am there to help. 'Even if I will be in the stands, I will try to make an impact as much as I can, to push the others, just to hug someone, whatever! It is really a joy to be here.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Danny Dyer ‘never felt nerves' like it on daughter's wedding day
Actor Danny Dyer said he had 'never felt nerves' like those he experienced when he gave his daughter away as she married West Ham player Jarrod Bowen. Love Island star Dani Dyer wed sportsman Bowen last month. Advertisement Discussing the ceremony on their podcast, Live And Let Dyers, Dani said the day left her feeling so emotional she 'couldn't talk about it'. Her father, former EastEnders actor Dyer, said of the moment he walked her down the aisle: 'My heart was beating through my f***ing chest. 'I've done a lot of heavy s***. You know, I've done a lot of theatre and the awards things and everything like that, and there's a little bit of nerves, but I've never felt nerves like that. You know, just hanging on for dear life!' Dyer, who has recently been filming the second series of hit drama Rivals, said he felt 'choked up' at seeing the happy couple together. Advertisement He went on: 'I needed just to contain myself. Because obviously it's a huge day for everyone in your family, but particularly the tradition of marriages – it's your father giving away your daughter, you know?' The pair also joked about how Bowen's nerves meant he got his bride's name mixed up during the vows. 'He f***ed your name up a few times,' Dyer told the podcast. 'Obviously it's Dani Charlotte Dyer, then he called me Charlotte, didn't he?' Dani added. Advertisement 'We had to start it again! It was so funny!' Victor Osimhen receives 'crazy' contract offer after Man Utd and Arsenal talks
Victor Osimhen has received a 'mind-blowing' contract offer from Saudi Arabia as he looks for a new club. The Nigeria spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and is open to returning to the Turkish champions as he does not have a future at Napoli. Osimhen was a prolific goalscorer for Napoli but Antonio Conte nevertheless sanctioned his exit 12 months ago and wants him sold this summer. Ex-Chelsea target Osimhen enjoyed his time in Turkey as he scored 37 goals in all competitions to help Galatasaray clinch the title. A permanent transfer to Galatasaray remains a possibility but Osimhen is believed to be dreaming of a move to the Premier League. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. Manchester United and Arsenal have both been linked with Osimhen as they look to sign new strikers for Ruben Amorim and Mikel Arteta. But with the Premier League giants currently pursuing other targets – most notably Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko – Osimhen has been forced to consider other options in the transfer market. The 26-year-old has already rejected an approach from Al Hilal but has now received an improved offer from the Saudi Pro League side. According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Al Hilal's 'mind-blowing' contract proposal is worth around £34m a year and and close to £140m over a possible four-year deal. If he accepts, Osimhen would immediately become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world. The Nigerian has a release clause worth £64m that Al Hilal have no problem activating if he gives them the green light. Last week, ex-England defender Rio Ferdinand claimed Osimhen must be 'waiting' for a call from Manchester United after turning down a move to Saudi. Asked which striker he wants United to sign this summer, Ferdinand said: 'No.9, they already know who I want. The comments know, the people know who I want, who I would go and get: Osimhen! 'It looks like he's turned down Al-Hilal… he must be waiting for Manchester United. I don't know if Manchester United are going to come. That's the problem.' Osimhen was close to completing a deadline-day move to Chelsea last summer but the Blues are not expected to be in the transfer race given they recently signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. More Trending Delap is one of the most highly-rated players in England but John Obi Mikel believes Chelsea fans would have preferred to see Osimhen join the club. 'It's not a secret. Everybody knows who I want to come to the football club and who the fans want to see at the football club [Osimhen],' Obi Mikel told The Evening Standard. 'But they've decided to go down a different route. I just hope that it's going to be the right decision. I like Liam Delap. He's a good young striker who works his socks off. 'Is he a proven goalscorer in the Premier League? Can he do it at a big club like Chelsea? That's the question. It's about how the manager works with him and develops him.'
