Mobile gaming is a massive part of India's digital culture today, and there's no denying that Battlegrounds Mobile India aka BGMI sits right at the top of the list for most popular games in the country. Now, tapping into this growing space, Reliance Jio has teamed up with Krafton India to launch two dedicated gaming recharge packs for its users. The idea is simple — give gamers what they want: faster connectivity, access to premium games, and exclusive BGMI rewards. And to do that, Jio has introduced two plans priced at Rs 495 and Rs 545, both with a 28-day validity.advertisementBoth recharge packs are now live and can be recharged via the MyJio app or the official Jio website. The Rs 495 pack offers 1.5GB data per day, an additional 5GB of data, unlimited voice calling, and two key gaming perks — access to JioGames Cloud and a BGMI Skins Coupon. The slightly higher Rs 545 plan bumps things up by offering unlimited 5G data (for eligible users), 2GB/day of regular data, 5GB additional data, unlimited voice calling, and the same gaming benefits as the Rs 495 pack.
With the JioGames Cloud subscription bundled in, users can stream and play over 500 premium cloud games across devices — be it a smartphone, a web browser, a Jio set-top box or even an Android TV. Since this is cloud gaming, there's no need for downloads or console-level hardware. You just log in and play.advertisementOn the BGMI side, users will receive exclusive in-game rewards like the Bard's Journey Set, Desert Taskforce Mask, and the Tap Boom Molotov Cocktail — redeemable using coupons received after the recharge.Talking about the partnership, Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development and Partnerships, Krafton India, said, 'At Krafton, our mission has always been to elevate and democratise gaming experiences for Indian players. Sarojininagar leads city's tech transformation

Lucknow: Outlining his vision to transform Lucknow into India's next major digital hub, with Sarojininagar leading the way, MLA Rajeshwar Singh posted on X, saying, "This is just the beginning," as the city's identity evolves "from tradition to technology. " He announced the development of India's first 70-acre Artificial Intelligence City in Lucknow, alongside Sarojininagar's emergence as a strategic defence-tech hub with the 1,500-acre Aerocity, BrahMos unit, and DRDO lab. Major players like IBM, Deloitte, Genpact, and Teleperformance have already entered the city, while Dassault Systèmes is investing Rs 240 crore in R&D at AKTU. Singh emphasised that 35% of Bengaluru's tech workforce hails from Uttar Pradesh and it's time for them to return. Citing a NASSCOM–Deloitte report, he highlighted Lucknow's rising status among India's emerging tech cities, driven by talent availability, cost advantage, and govt support. He also proposed the formation of a Uttar Pradesh Artificial Intelligence Commission to regulate and promote AI research. Crediting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the ongoing transformation, Singh said, "Sarojininagar is not just growing — it is becoming India's innovation epicentre. We're building tomorrow's Uttar Pradesh today."

Genpact to employees: Follow 10-hour workday 'mandate' or face performance review

Genpact has implemented a new policy requiring a 10-hour workday for its employees, which will be effective mid-June, a report claims. Employees who fail to comply with this mandate may reportedly face performance reviews. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now However, the policy does not include a corresponding increase in base salary, the report adds. According to a report by The Hindu, the tech and services company will track employee productivity through an internal tool that will monitor their daily active hours. Employees meeting the required hours can reportedly earn up to 500 points monthly, which will be equivalent to Rs 3,000 in incentives. The report also adds that an additional 5% bonus, which is nearly Rs 150, will be paid to employees for any extra time logged beyond the 10-hour mandate. How Genpact employees have reacted to the 10-hour workday mandate Genpact's recent policy rollout has led to growing unrest among employees, particularly in the Hyderabad office, where the atmosphere has been described as 'tense' and morale appears low, the report adds. As per the report, the approach to implementing the policy has also added to the concerns, as it was communicated informally by managers and team leads rather than through official HR channels. Several employees have raised issues about the lack of clarity, with one senior recruitment staff member telling The Hindu: 'There's nothing on paper. It's all word of mouth. If anyone challenges it, they're accused of being difficult and risk termination.' A current employee also took to social media to share his concerns about the company's practices. A LinkedIn user, who identified as a Genpact employee, pointed out that requiring a 10-hour login can affect productivity. In a LinkedIn post, Abhishek Sharma who works as an assistant manager at Genpact wrote: '#For10HrLogin – Is this the new standard or a step backward? As professionals striving for excellence, we're no strangers to going the extra mile. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now But mandating a 10-hour login raises some important questions about work-life balance, productivity, and mental health. In today's world where efficiency and output matter more than screen time, shouldn't we focus on results, not hours? Extended login hours can lead to burnout, reduced creativity, and disengagement. I urge leadership to reconsider – is this sustainable, and is it truly what drives growth? Open to hearing others' views. Let's talk about healthier, smarter ways to work."
