Consultancy should be provided to both cooperative unions and private dairy operators as required, said chief minister Mohan Yadav on Monday.
Yadav mentioned that the process of bringing better breeds of cows and buffaloes from other states and making them available to farmers should be made more convenient to increase milk production in the state. It is also essential to ensure that dairy products should only go outside the state after value addition to the milk produced in the state.
He was reviewing action taken after the agreement between National Dairy Development Board and MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation at Samatva Bhavan in his official residence.
Yadav further said that development and better management of cow shelters would also help in increasing milk production. He suggested that private universities should run courses related to dairy technology and animal husbandry. By connecting technical experts from universities and other institutions with cow shelters, mangement of the shelters would improve.
During the meeting, it was informed that as per the agreement, the charge of chief executive officers of the dairy federations in the state has been transferred to chief executive officers nominated by the board. As per the instructions, efforts are also being made with the coordination of the board to expand the coverage area of
dairy cooperative societies
in the state, develop infrastructure based on updated technology for milk collection, milk processing, and dairy products.

Expert reviews are being conducted on milk collection, quality control and storage arrangements among others. The implementation of the
Automatic Milk Collection System
under the complete digitisation of the entire dairy value chain has been proposed.
The meeting was attended by minister of state for animal husbandry and dairy Lakhan Patel, chief secretary Anurag Jain, additional chief secretary Rajesh Rajoura, National Dairy Development Board head Minesh Shah, executive director S Raghupathi, general manager Sanjay Gobani and other officials.

Congress floated test balloon with job fair on Rahul's 55th birthday. And thousands turned up

At least 100 companies, including well-known names like Amazon, Tata, Zepto and Blinkit, participated in the job fair with the aim of recruiting candidates from various educational backgrounds, from 12th pass students to PhD-holders, he said. The event saw an overwhelming response, with more than 20,000 people of different age groups registering to participate, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Yadav told a press conference here. New Delhi: The Congress' youth wing and the Delhi unit organised a job fair at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium here Thursday to mark their leader Rahul Gandhi's 55th birthday, and to underline the issue of unemployment in the country. More companies wanted to participate but they could not due to space constraints, he said. 'Those who couldn't be accommodated today will be engaged in future events.' He described the job fair as a significant step by the Congress in response to the 'failure' of both the Centre and the Delhi government to provide employment opportunities. 'There was a time when youths used to come to Delhi for jobs. Now, Delhi's youths are facing the worst unemployment crisis in 45 years,' Yadav said. The job fair organised by the DPCC and the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) appeared to be a political intervention by Gandhi who has over the years repeatedly highlighted the issue of job scarcity across the country. With the Congress looking to regain organisational strength in the capital, the employment fair served both as outreach and mobilisation. Aspirants reached the venue as early as 8 am to be among the first ones to be sitting for the interviews with big companies. As the day progressed, the venue got overcrowded with candidates waiting in long queues to get their token numbers to be called in. Mania Tandon, a final-year BSc student from Delhi University's Janki Devi Memorial College, said she came with high hopes after seeing the names of the companies. 'I turned up around 11 am and my token number is 5,395. Right now, only people till token number 1,000 have been called. I'm truly disappointed because it's overcrowded, and it doesn't seem I'll get a job here,' she told ThePrint. Tandon, however, appreciated the Congress' attempt and said there is a need for similar effort on a bigger scale. 'Given the population and the desperation for jobs, this was bound to happen. It feels weird seeing so many people in the same boat.' Mohammad Sohrab, who is from north Delhi's Narela and has completed 12th grade, said, 'My token number is 2,483. The announcements are only up to 1,000. The arrangements are not great, but we will still wait. This is the first time any party has done something like this. Other parties are busy with Hindu-Muslim debates. I want a regular salary, and a stable job. That's it.' Lauding Gandhi's effort, Sohrab said he wants to witness the day when Gandhi becomes the prime minister. Manoj Kumar, a grassroots Congress worker, told ThePrint around 100 youths had come through his mobilisation efforts. 'There is so much unemployment. This fair, on Rahul Gandhi's birthday, gives people a real chance. Some are getting interviewed and even hired right here.' Meanwhile, Tandon said, 'Everyone here is just trying their luck. And honestly, when I see this crowd, it makes me realise how hard things really are.' (Edited by Ajeet Tiwari) Also Read: Don't jump at 1st unemployment number you see. Himanta hands over job letters to 481 candidates

Guwahati: Assam chief minister on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 481 candidates in the animal husbandry and veterinary, tourism, and education departments. About another 40,000 appointments in the offing and will be distributed in a single recruitment drive scheduled for Oct 10. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now With the inclusion of these 481 appointments, the total number of govt jobs secured under the present administration now stands at 1,20,840. Speaking on the occasion, Sarma expressed confidence that the state govt is well on course to reach a total of 1.60 lakh appointments by 10 Oct and emphasised that the transparent nature of this recruitment process has not only upheld merit, but also played a vital role in fostering a more robust educational ecosystem across the state. He said the animal husbandry sector has increasingly become a pillar of the rural economy, but Assam still lags behind other states in fully realising its potential. "To address this, the govt has partnered with the National Dairy Development Board to establish the North East Dairy and Foods Limited, which aims at producing, processing, and distributing 10 lakh litres of milk daily," he said. He added that the College of Veterinary Science, in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board, is working to develop a new breed by crossbreeding Assam's indigenous Lakhimi cows with Gujarat's high-yielding Gir breed. Alongside livestock development, the chief minister emphasised the state's renewed focus on poultry and duck farming, noting that 90% of Assam's daily egg demand is currently met through imports. He also highlighted a national campaign to promote biogas and bio-CNG production, adding that efforts are underway to enable dairy enterprises to generate these from cattle dung — an initiative poised to offer farmers a valuable supplementary income stream. To this end, he added, govt has sanctioned Rs 4,000 crores for road and infrastructure development.
