Fans have taken social media to mock Wayne Rooney after he failed a geography puzzle miserably.
The Manchester United legend, who was sacked as Plymouth boss in December, was the latest guest on the Overlap Fan Debate.
In one of the segments, he was tasked with pointing out the location of a number Premier League stadiums on a map.
Rooney had a slip-up gaffe early on, wrongly placing Aston Villa in Hereford - around 90 minutes away from Villa Park.
Jamie Carragher quickly corrected him, saying, 'that's not there', prompting a baffled Rooney to fire back, 'well, where is it then?' as the audience burst into laughter.
Despite being a born-and-bred Scouser and kicking off his career at Everton, Wayne Rooney stunned the studio by placing Manchester City 's badge right in the heart of Liverpool.
Rooney's most cringeworthy moment came when he bizarrely placed Everton - his boyhood club - over in Manchester, just east of the Etihad Stadium.
A stunned Jamie Carragher burst into laughter, blurting out, 'are you serious?' as the blunder left the studio in stitches.
Carragher placed Everton correctly in Liverpool and said, 'It's there, isn't it?' Rooney, clearly frustrated, fires back, 'It's f***** the same place.'*
Fans took to X to mock Rooney, with one posting: 'How can he have spent the first 18 years of his life in Liverpool and not realised you can see the sea'.
Another said: 'Wayne… Everton's new ground not far from the old ground you've spent a chunk of your life is right by the water mate. Fascinating human being'.
A third added: 'Putting Everton nowhere near water is absolutely phenomenal.'

Manchester United are determined to push through a number of high-profile sales this summer to bolster Ruben Amorim's spending power but the process is already proving complex for the Old Trafford hierarchy Jadon Sancho's salary is once again complicating his Manchester United exit. Italian champions Napoli and Juventus are both courting the 25-year-old winger but currently, would only be willing to pursue a loan that would enable them to share a percentage of his wages, worth £250,000 per week plus bonuses, with United. Antony ready to take drastic action in bid to quit Man Utd for dream transfer

Manchester United and Antony want to part ways and the Brazilian winger is happy to make a sacrifice to facilitate a transfer in the coming weeks following his Real Betis loan Manchester United wantaway star Antony is prepared to take a 30 per cent paycut to leave Old Trafford this summer. The winger's decision has boosted the hopes of interested parties, namely Real Betis, of being able to complete a deal. Antony is said to currently rake in £150,000-a-week with the Red Devils and is willing to lower his expectations to facilitate a move. The drop would still see him ask for £95,000-a-week. ‌ United are hoping to bring in a fee for the former Ajax winger to boost their funds this summer, with the club requiring £32.58million to avoid a loss under the profit and sustainability rules. That figure is well short of the £85m United spent in 2022. ‌ Antony failed to make an impression following Ruben Amorim's arrival but found a new lease of life in Spain after making a loan move to Betis in January. The Brazilian registered 14 goal contributions in 26 games to help the club reach the Conference League final. Both Betis and Antony have expressed their desire to make the move permanent but there have been doubts that the La Liga side could afford such a deal. But Antony is willing to reduce his salary, per the MEN, which could prove pivotal. Antony has made his preference to return to Betis clear. "I love the club, the city, everything. The sunshine, the people, the food: it reminds me of Brazil," he said previously. "And most importantly, I've found myself. I wasn't playing much [at Manchester United ]. I needed to be happy in myself." Amorim is impatient to see new signings this summer, with the pace of United's transfer business this summer not quite yet kicking into gear. The Red Devils have added Matheus Cunha to their squad but have not made much progress on incoming or outgoing transfers. ‌ Amorim wants new players on the plane for United's three-game tour of the United States The United boss sees the tour as the ideal environment to integrate new players and to learn his system. The 40-year-old also wants United to offload players he does not want as quickly as possible. None of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony feature in his plans. Rashford wants to move to Barcelona, while Sancho has drawn interest from Italy after seeing his permanent move to Chelsea cancelled. The Blues paid a penalty to go back on their agreement with United.
