The Philadelphia Eagles' famous "Tush Push" play is returning for another season. The league's hopes of banning the play failed over a month ago.

Since then, players around the league can't stop debating whether or not the play belongs. Some defensive players see an unfair advantage, while other offensive players believe it is up to the defense to figure out a way to stop it.
Now, the league MVP is getting involved.
The Buffalo Bills' starting quarterback, Josh Allen, was the latest to endorse the play in an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated.
"I'm a big believer in if you can't stop it, keep running it, right?," Allen said. "I think that there's a few teams that do it better than others, but then you look at a few teams that try to do it, and it doesn't have the same success... I don't feel like it should be banned."

Allen's comments are surprising. Buffalo was one of the teams that voted to ban the play during the offseason.
Outside of the Eagles, the Bills were among the other teams to run the variation of the quarterback sneak with frequency.
Allen's use of the play to his advantage and desire for the Tush Push to remain might be stunning in that it is in conflict with his front office …
But no matter..
Meanwhile. …
Despite Buffalo's success last season with the play, the Kansas City Chiefs repeatedly shut it down when they ran it in the AFC Championship Game. Two weeks later, the Eagles didn't have that same problem. They converted the play into the game's first score in Super Bowl LIX.

The Tush Push is here to stay for at least another season. If you ask the league MVP, he feels the play should remain in the league forever.

MLB Announces Historic Jac Caglianone News

MLB Announces Historic Jac Caglianone News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Kansas City Royals have faced an uphill battle this season. Currently posting a 37-38 record and sitting fourth in the AL Central, the team finds itself 10.5 games behind the league-leading Detroit Tigers yet only 1.5 games out of a wild card spot. Advertisement While the Royals' pitching staff has been a bright spot this year—allowing just 3.6 runs per game, which ranks third in MLB—their offensive struggles have become glaring. Averaging only 3.4 runs per game, the Royals' lack of production is highlighted by a power outage that leaves them tied with the NL Central last-place Pittsburgh Pirates for the fewest home runs in the league at just 53. In an attempt to add some offensive production into their lineup, the Royals called up Jac Caglianone—the sixth overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft from Florida—on June 3. Kansas City Royals right fielder Jac Caglianone (14)Jerome Miron - Imagn Images On Thursday, Caglianone hit his first Major League home run against the Texas Rangers pitcher Jacob Latz in a 4-1 victory. As it turns out, this swing was historic for the Royals rookie. Advertisement MLB announced on X, 'Jac Caglianone crushed the highest pitch a player has hit for his first career home run in the Statcast Era (since 2015).' Caglianone earned his way to the big league level by showcasing impressive power and plate discipline in just 79 minor league games, during which he hit 17 home runs, drove in 70 RBIs, and posted an OPS of .875. In the Majors, he is still adjusting to the elevated level of competition, currently batting .218 with a .596 OPS and 1 home run through his first 14 games. Mariners Fans Upset After Announcement on Friday

Mariners Fans Upset After Announcement on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Mariners continue their season with a 37-36 record, currently trailing the Astros in the AL West by five games and sitting just 0.5 games back in the wild-card race, trailing the Boston Red Sox. Advertisement While the team remains competitive in the standings, offensive production has been a mixed bag. Cal Raleigh has been on a notable power surge this year—he leads MLB with 27 home runs while posting a .266 average and an OPS of .995. Despite his individual brilliance, the Mariners' offense as a whole has struggled of late, recording a 19-24 performance since May 1 with an OPS of .690, which ranks 21st in MLB. In response to these offensive challenges, the front office made a couple of roster moves on Friday. Luke Raley was activated from the injured list after recovering from a right oblique strain, while offseason acquisition Rowdy Tellez was designated for assignment. The transaction has not gone unnoticed by fans, and the reactions on X were immediate. Advertisement "DFA Rowdy over Solano, this front office is not serious," a fan said. Another added, "Solano is worse." "Wow - just wow," said a surprised fan. "Definitely don't agree with this," one fan responded. "This should be a fireable offense," replied an upset fan. Seattle Mariners right fielder Luke Raley (20)Joe Nicholson-Imagn Images This move is surprising and has sparked considerable backlash among fans, who are questioning why Donovan Solano wasn't the one designated for assignment instead. In 41 games this season, Solano has managed a .198 batting average with just 1 home run and a .490 OPS. In comparison, Tellez, is posting a .208 average with 11 home runs and a .683 OPS over 62 games.
