Live Nation's $30 summer concert deal includes Richmond shows

Axios20-05-2025

Live Nation 's new summer concert promotion is coming, and the live music behemoth will offer $30 tickets to roughly 1,000 concerts nationwide.
Why it matters: The " $30 Ticket to Summer" launches Wednesday and includes more than a dozen shows at Richmond's (and Live Nation's) new Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront.
Zoom in: Boyz II Men, Brad Paisley, Jason Isbell, The Head and The Heart, Leon Bridges and Weird Al Yankovic are among the Allianz shows included in the $30 ticket special, per Live Nation.
In some cases, like the Counting Crows' July show, tickets end up being about $10 cheaper with the deal.
In others, like Steve Martin and Martin Short in September, $30 is basically half-off the cheapest tickets currently available.
Zoom out: If none of the Richmond shows spark your interest, the Ticket to Summer promo is also running for select shows at Live Nation's other venues in the state, which are:
Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion in Portsmouth.
and The Dome in Virginia Beach.
Jiffy Lube Live in Northern Virginia.
Highlights from those lineups on special include Kesha and comedian Kevin James in Virginia Beach, Cyndi Lauper in NoVa, and The Temptations & The Four Tops in Portsmouth.
Flashback: Last summer, Live Nation celebrated 10 years of "Concert Week" with $25 tickets, but those deals only lasted one week.
Between the lines: Tickets purchased through the offer include all the fees in the $30 cost, according to Live Nation. Any taxes, which differ among venues, will be added at checkout.

Mobile Game Monday: LOST IN PLAY

Greetings, friends, and welcome to Mobile Game Monday, where we chat about games you can play on the go. If you like gaming on a phone or tablet , this is the place for you. Join us every week as we go on all sorts of adventures. School's out for summer, which means the adventures have begun. I remember summertime being a time of excitement and exploration. Relive that experience of childhood wonder and imagination in Lost in Play. RELATED: Wholesome Games Direct 2025: 9 Games Release Today Lost in Play Lost in Play (2022) is a point-and-click adventure developed by Happy Juice Games and published by Joystick Ventures. Join brother and sister duo Toto and Gal as they go on an adventure so whimsical, it could only be fueled by the imagination of a child. Explore a dreamlike world through the eyes of children and discover the magic in the world around you. Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. There are no complicated controls or plotlines, just a couple of curious kids going on a series of imagination-fueled adventures to find their way home. Even waking your brother up to start the day is an adventure as you find batteries for the alarm clock. Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. At the beginning of each chapter, you must chat with mysterious creatures like goblins to uncover your next step. Of course, each character that you encounter needs help, and most of the time, this means a puzzle or minigame. There are over 30 puzzles and games to enjoy. Each character you help brings you one step closer to home. RELATED: Cozy Game Alert: Witchbrook If you do happen to get stuck, there is a hint button that will give a starting point to help you out. I am not too proud to admit that I pressed that hint button more than a few times. While the puzzles aren't impossibly challenging, there is such a wide range of riddles, you just may run into something that isn't your forte. Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. No in-game shop, no competition, no stress. Just like it was when I was a kid, solving simple problems, but making the most of them. While there aren't a ton of events for the game, they are currently holding a Speedrun Challenge until July 2. Challenge yourself with the Fastest Dreamer Race, where you aim to complete the game as fast as possible with no hints or pauses. RELATED: June's Most Anticipated Video Games Fun for All Ages Lost in Play is a great game for kiddos of all ages because there is no dialogue. Everything is communicated through simple, childlike drawings and gesturing. Although Lost in Play is single-player, that doesn't mean it has to be a solo experience. Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. Every time my daughter caught me playing this on my phone, she would come over and help me out. We genuinely enjoyed exploring and solving the puzzles together. Oftentimes, my daughter would point out things that I never noticed. It also helps instill values and ideals like helping others and thinking outside of the box. RELATED: Switch 2 Doesn't Fix Pokémon's Biggest Problem Many times while playing, I found myself asking, 'What would happen if I did this?' and I appreciate anything that makes me think this way. As adults, we tend to be so worried about consequences that we do not take risks. Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. This game rewards curiosity and thinking outside of the box. The art style and atmosphere remind me of Over the Garden Wall and Gravity Falls , so if you like those shows, definitely give this game a try. RELATED: Fields of Mistria Is Finally Getting a Dating Mechanic Our Adventure Ends Here I love the simplicity of this game, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend this game to everyone, especially those looking for something fun to do with the kiddos this summer. Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. This game gets the imaginative juices flowing and may even inspire you to view the world a little differently. When was the last time you closely inspected a cool-looking bug or picked up a rock just to see what was underneath? Screenshot courtesy of Cassie Holguin. Lost in Play perfectly captures the feeling of being a kid in the summertime. It reminds me of the outdoor adventures my brother and I would go on when we were kids. Just wandering around the neighborhood, catching and releasing lizards. Not to mention finding pretty rocks. Oh, how I miss those simpler times when all we were worried about was who could find the coolest stick. I cannot recommend Lost in Play enough; it is beautiful, wholesome, and a ton of fun. Video: Baby Shows Right Way To Enjoy Mango & Netizens Couldn't Agree More

Summers usually mean an endless supply of mangoes, and while there may not be a clean way to enjoy the tropical fruit, there's certainly a right way to lose yourself in the sweetness. This video of a baby savoring a ripe mango in pure bliss seemed the ideal way to make it a delightful experience, and netizens couldn't agree more. The little one's messy cleaning up of the stone fruit's pit is the classic approach and possibly the only way to truly enjoy it. A mom documented her baby's adorable mango-eating experience in a viral parenting video, which also serves as a tutorial for viewers on how to enjoy it the right way. It was, without a doubt, one of the greatest moments of Grace Tan's motherhood journey, with her little girl getting the full summer experience. Children are known for their sloppy eating habits, but this kid took it to a whole different level. Moreover, her mom had to prove why the 'mango never stood a chance.' The video showed the first-time mom's point of view while her baby girl delighted in every second of her snacking on the tropical fruit. Somewhat expecting the mess, Tan took all the necessary precautions before handing the little one the gooey mango pit. The clip started with a little spill over the table, but it was only the beginning of the messy experience. As the post continued, the baby made the most satisfying 'nom nom nom nom' sounds, only getting exceedingly dramatic. A mix of 'glug glug' and 'nom nom' sounds, the video captured the little girl's euphoric mango-eating moments, and it's super relatable. She chewed and sucked on it with all her energy and created an even bigger mess until there was no more left to eat. The results? A licked-clean mango pit. Commenters found the baby's way of eating the mango so relatable that they couldn't hold back their hilarious remarks. One user wrote that the 'waababwaabab is necessary, otherwise you don't deserve the mango.' A second individual pointed out that the video was a 'tutorial' on how to eat the fruit until it's clean. Paige Spiranac Confirms Theory About Her Golf Game: 'Science is Right'

Paige Spiranac Confirms Theory About Her Golf Game: 'Science is Right' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is once again proving that her signature golf style isn't just for show. Advertisement On Sunday, the social media star and former pro golfer posted a lighthearted message on X, reflecting on a not-so-great day on the course and how her outfit may have played a role. 'If you've been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes,' Spiranac wrote. 'Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like 💩 today.' The post included a photo of Spiranac in a sporty but more covered look than her usual on-course outfits. She wore a light gray, short-sleeved button-up shirt with thin stripes, paired with black shorts and white sneakers with yellow accents. Her outfit was completed with a blue visor, dark sunglasses and her blonde hair tied back, perfect for the summer heat but not, in her view, for her swing. Advertisement The 32-year-old golf personality is known for posting about golf, fashion and sports commentary. She often shares videos of her playing golf, giving tips and reviewing golf equipment. In a separate post few days ago, Spiranac cleared up a rumor after a video of a woman falling from a golf cart went viral. Many thought it was her, but she responded by saying, 'This is not me. We all know I wouldn't be wearing a polo.' Spiranac also helps promote the Grass League, a growing Par 3 golf league, where she takes part in media coverage and content creation. On Instagram, she recently shared selfies from the course wearing another golf outfit that included a white tank top and a blue pleated skirt. Advertisement Spiranac has over four million followers across Instagram and X. She often uses her platforms to mix golf content with personal updates and opinions about the sport. Though Spiranac admitted to a bad round, her outfit and comment drew attention and reactions from her fans once again.
