Katie Nolan reiterates her staunch defense of Pablo Torre in Bill Simmons spat: ‘Bro, come on'
Katie Nolan made it clear that she will always be on Pablo Torre's side in a beef with Bill Simmons over the former ESPN reporter's coverage on Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson.
Nolan elaborated on her decision during an episode of 'Pablo Torre Finds Out' on Thursday, where she called out Simmons for his comments about Torre's coverage of the couple.
'I picked you, it wasn't like … there was no hesitation. [Simmons] didn't even listen to the episode!' Nolan said. 'I listened to it back and I was like 'Bro, come on.' … [Pablo] was out there in LA, so he did Simmons' podcast, refuting Simmons saying that it was whatever, s–tty reporting or whatever.

'And basically during the episode, he was like, 'Have you listened to any of the episodes that the aggregated comments you're referring to are coming from?' And Simmons was like 'What I'd like to talk about instead is…''
'It was skillful move by Bill,' Torre interjected.

'No, it was not! Immediately, you could see right through it. 'So no then, Bill?' ' Nolan replied
The beef between the two started in May when The Ringer founder said Torre was 'pretending to be a journalist' for his reporting on Belichick and Hudson, tying in fictional character Leo Farnsworth from the 1978 film 'Heaven Can Wait' in the process.

'Pablo Torre would've done a long podcast about Leo Farnsworth trying to practice with the team, and then done a media tour about it afterwards,' Simmons said during an episode of his podcast 'The Rewatchables' on May 27.

'I've never seen anybody dine on a stupider story for a week and a half while pretending you're a journalist. What the f–k was that? Seriously.'
'Belichick's dating a girl. 'Oh, let me do nine shows about it,'' Simmons added while mocking Torre. 'Settle the f–k down … You don't need to do a media tour about a f–king podcast.'

Torre quickly snapped back at Simmons following his comments, sending him an invite to debate the topic on his podcast.

'Dear @BillSimmons: Since you have such a strong public opinion about my work… I happen to have a few questions for you, specifically,' Torre posted on X on June 2. 'Unless you're afraid of @pablofindsout and someone just 'pretending to be a journalist,' of course. Thanks, Pablo.'
The two eventually discussed the situation on 'The Bill Simmons Podcast' earlier this month, with Torre defending his work against pushback.

How to watch Caitlin Clark: TV, prediction for Indiana Fever vs Las Vegas Aces on June 22
The Indiana Fever are 6-6 after a June 19 loss to the Golden State Valkyries on the road. Caitlin Clark recorded 11 points, nine assists and seven rebounds against Golden State. Head coach Stephanie White missed the game due to personal reasons. Sunday's game against the Aces marks the first time the two teams have faced off this season. Chloe Peterson is your best Fever follow, and sign up for our Caitlin Clark Fever newsletter. Chloe Peterson's prediction: Fever 75, Aces 70 "The Fever have not beaten the Aces since Caitlin Clark joined the team last season, but that could change on Sunday. The Aces, who were the 2022 and 2023 champions, have had a tough start to the season at 5-6. "A lot of it, I think, depends on A'ja Wilson's availability. Wilson has been out with a concussion since June 11, when she was hit in the head against the Sparks. She was upgraded to questionable for Friday's game against Seattle, but she will take some time to readjust after a week off. "The Fever are coming off a deflating loss to the Valkyries, in which Clark scored just 11 points (2 in the first half) on 3-of-14 shooting. Clark usually does not have back-to-back poor shooting nights, so I would expect her to bounce back against the Aces." 3 p.m. ET Sunday, June 22, 2025, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. TV: ESPN Streaming: Fubo (free trial) In seven games this season, Caitlin Clark averages 19.9 points, 8.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals, making 35.5% of her 3-pointers. ESPN's matchup predictor gives the Aces a 60.6% chance of winning. Fever-Aces start at $35 on StubHub

Shaquille O'Neal's Strong Response to Travis Kelce's Personal Request
Shaquille O'Neal's Strong Response to Travis Kelce's Personal Request originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, the special guest was none other than NBA legend and current ESPN analyst Shaquille O'Neal. With three big personalities in one room, the conversation was entertaining, unpredictable, full of laughter, candid moments and off-the-wall stories. Advertisement Shaq, never one to hold back, brought his signature humor and larger-than-life presence to the show. The trio talked about everything from their playing careers and media work to behind-the-scenes moments and a shared love for music. But two highlights stole the spotlight: Travis asking O'Neal for DJ advice so he could one day open for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Travis didn't hold back when he asked the four-time NBA champion. "You go to get me on the DJ booth, you got to teach me your ways, dog." O'Neal, known in music circles as DJ Diesel, replied: "I got you. I got you. You know what's crazy? You open up for your girlfriend and you'll be a [expletive] star." Advertisement That had both Kelce brothers cracking up, especially Travis, who added, "You know I'm a hype man. You know I'm a hype man. I'll have Swifties bouncing off the wall before Tay gets out there." Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and girlfriend Taylor Deutsch-Imagn Images Travis Kelce is gearing up for another season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran tight end, who turns 36 this year, played with Kansas City since being drafted in 2013 and helped lead the team to three Super Bowl victories. Jason Kelce, meanwhile, recently retired after a remarkable NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles. Drafted in 2011 out of Cincinnati, he was a key figure in the Eagles' Super Bowl LII win and earned seven Pro Bowl selections. Advertisement O'Neal, 53, was a regular on TNT's NBA coverage throughout the playoffs. With the network's NBA coverage coming to an end, Shaq joined a new broadcasting team at ESPN. Drafted No. 1 overall by the Orlando Magic in 1992, he played 19 seasons in the league and won four NBA championships.
