I'm back as captain of the West Indies Champions, playing alongside my brothers Bravo and Pollard. With this squad, expect nothing less than fireworks. West Indies cricket runs through our veins--we're here to win.'

For me too, coming back feels special. To once again wear the colours of West Indies Champions and compete with legends is something I couldn't pass up.'

These three have been the face of West Indies T20 success for years. Seeing them walk out in maroon again is emotional for fans and the cricketing world. This is not just a comeback; it's a celebration of legacy.'

Nasser Hussain picks Virat Kohli moment that has stuck with him most

Leeds [UK], June 20 (ANI): Former captain Nasser Hussain handpicked Virat Kohli's speech that he gave to his players in a hurdle during the final day at Lord's as the moment between India and England Test rivalry that has stuck with him. The moment that Hussain is referring to is India's tour of England in 2021. It was the final day of the second Test at the 'Home of Cricket', Lord's, and England was in pursuit of a 272-run target with 60 overs left. During the hurdle, Virat delivered a passionate speech, and his famous words still live rent-free in the hearts of cricket fans: "For 60 overs, they should feel hell." India pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Ishant Sharma breathed fire and left England batters bamboozled to wrap up the game in the final hour of the Test with a 151-run triumph. "I was asked about my favourite India-England moment, historically. There have been so many. It may have not been my favourite, but it is the one that stuck with me the most. In the hurdle that last morning at Lord's when England were trying to chase the score, he was in the hurdle pointing at every Indian player telling them to unleash hell on that England batting lineup for 60 overs," Hussain said on Sky Sports. "That is what his side did. That side became the mirror image of Virat's character. Test match cricket is so much better when Kohli was playing. We will move on. We moved from Gavaskar to Tendulkar to Kohli and maybe to Gill. But Kohli added so much to this game," he added. Virat penned a heartfelt note on social media and pulled the curtain down on his 14-year-long Test career last month. As a result, he missed India's ongoing tour of England. After his decision, he returned to on-field action for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He steered Bengaluru to their maiden IPL title, and after the famous triumph, he emphasised the importance of the Test format and said, "So I would just urge the youngsters coming through to treat that format with respect. Because if you perform in Test cricket, you walk around anywhere in the world, people look you in the eye and shake your hand and say, well done, you played the game really well. So if you want to earn respect in World cricket all over, take up Test cricket, give your heart and soul to it." Nasser reflected on Virat's statement and said, "I mean, it was great to see what he said when he won the IPL about Test cricket. What he told the next generation that is the way you make your name in Test match cricket." (ANI)

James Gunn opens up about his favourite DC project which has 'not been announced at all'

Washington, DC [US], June 20 (ANI): DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has many projects in the pipeline, with his 'Superman' releasing July 11, season 2 of 'Peacemaker' nearly wrapped for an August premiere, and the 'Lanterns' HBO series halfway through filming, reported Variety. However, Gunn is also working on a few TV and film projects, which he has not revealed yet. One project in particular, he kept very quiet because he didn't want anyone to steal the idea, Gunn said, "My favourite thing has not been announced at was one thing that I knew about from the very beginning, that when I pitched to David Zaslav what the DCU would be, I pitched to him, but we did not announce in that first meeting because I felt like it was too easy to rip off by another company. And so that's one of the main things." Gunn said he'll "probably" direct one of his new mystery projects. "Well, I always leave saying I'm going to direct something till I'm actually done with the screenplay, and then I say, 'Yeah, I want to do this.' But it's probably what I will direct. Yeah, probably, to be totally realistic. Yes, probably," he said, reported Variety. The ace director shared that when a well-known actor pitched him a project, he told him he was looking for a "masterpiece." "I told it to one person who came in and pitched something that was an Elseworlds tale," he said. "It was a very, very, very famous movie actor. I said, 'It depends on how the screenplay comes it's a masterpiece, I'll make it, but it has to be a masterpiece.' And he is like, 'I don't know if it's a masterpiece.' He got all funny. He's still working on it, though. He is still trying to do it, so we'll see. Masterpiece might be pushing it, but it's got to be really great." Gunn didn't just tease upcoming movies. He also mentioned another "favourite thing" that's a TV project. "Then there's another TV show that's my favourite thing in all of this, that is hopefully getting made soon," he said. "It's just my favourite thing. And then there's the s--! I don't know what I'm allowed to say or not say, but there are a couple of other movies that are being written, one of which is in pretty good shape, another which is kind of closer to the start, but we feel positive about. And then there's a thing I'm writing, which I think it's okay.... So what will be the next thing after 'Clayface' is not 100 per cent certain, but it's pretty certain," reported Variety. (ANI)

Yograj Singh's Big Prediction For India Captain Shubman Gill: "Just Like Kapil Dev..."

Former cricketer Yograj Singh believes India's newly crowned Test captain Shubman Gill needs to lead from the front and has to take the team forward along with him, just like Kapil Dev did in the 1983 World Cup, in his first assignment against England, which got underway on Friday at Headingley. India is poised to witness a new era in the Test format without its batting mainstays, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who retired from the format last month. India has infused young blood and a new skill set to fill the gap left by the departure of the two seasoned pros. Apart from the batting bigwigs, India will miss off-spinner Ravichandran Aswhin and the plethora of variations he brought. Ashwin had his last dance in Australia and announced his retirement midway through the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. With Gill given the responsibility of steering the team in India's new era of Test cricket, Yograj outlined the key aspects India's youngest red-ball captain must consider to soar to new heights. According to Yograj, Gill must set his individual scoring target high and take the team with him. He also dropped the series prediction and believes India has the potential to conquer England and stand victorious on the opposition's territory for the first time since 2007. "A few days ago, I was talking to Yuvraj Singh about Abhishek (Sharma) and Shubman Gill. Yuvraj said he would have to lead from the front. As Shubman Gill goes out to bat, he has to stay at the crease for the maximum time. When a captain leads from the front, and scores run. It is important for Shubman to set a target of 100, 200 or 300. He has to lead from the front. He also has to take everyone forward together, just like Kapil Dev did in the 1983 World Cup. I believe India will win the series," Yograj told ANI. For Gill, the coin didn't spin in his favour during his first outing as India Test captain during the time of the toss. England captain Ben Stokes won and opted to bowl, a general trend at Headingley. India (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna England (Playing XI): Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes(c), Jamie Smith(w), Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Josh Tongue, Shoaib Bashir.
