A CELEBRATION OF LOVE, WELLNESS & COMMUNITY UNITY
To mark his 50th birthday, NFL legend Ray Lewis returns to Polk County—not to be celebrated, but to give back. In partnership with the Ray of Hope Foundation™, he will host the 52 Ways of Love: Community Celebration, a free, family-friendly event focused on mental health awareness, education, and community healing.
With over 3,000 attendees expected, the event will include interactive youth zones, mindfulness workshops, wellness screenings, and classic outdoor games like tug-of-war, hula hoop contests, and three-legged races. It's a day for families to connect, children to learn, and the entire community to engage in conversations around resilience, hope, and mental wellness.
The inspiration behind the event comes from Lewis's personal mission to fight mental health stigma—especially following the tragic loss of his son. "This isn't just about a birthday," says Lewis. "It's about pouring love back into the place that gave me everything. It's about showing our kids they matter—and that healing is possible when we come together as one family, one purpose."

Patriots rookie Will Campbell loves being a "Boston sports guy"
Patriots rookie left tackle Will Campbell may be the new kid in town, but he is loving life in New England. And he's not just enamored with what's been going on in Foxboro on the football field. The Monroe, Louisiana native is all-in on becoming a New Englander. He was out at Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg on Wednesday to host a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new water park, where he used his big frame and agile moves to make some money for the local Boys & Girls Club. Campbell teamed up with kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg, Leominster and Gardner inside the new Otter Cave Waterworks play zone at Great Wolf Lodge. Campbell and the kids had to fill a big bucket in under 20 minutes using only the park's splash features, like water cannons and tipping buckets. Campbell did most of the heavy lifting -- and running -- using smaller buckets to fill the bigger one. He and the crew were able to beat the 20-minute buzzer, which earned the Boys & Girls Club a cool $7,500 donation from Great Wolf Lodge. A soaking wet Campbell spoke with WBZ-TV's Dan Roche after showing his moves on the splash pad. "It was intense. They were pouring water all over me and I had to get them back. I told them I'm not the only one who is going to get soaking wet today," joked Campbell. Campbell is a big kid himself, and will never turn down an opportunity to give back to his new community. "Being able to come out here and interact with kids -- I was the little kid who used to love doing stuff with older athletes. To be in that position, it's something I'll do every time I can because I was once that little kid," he said. Will Campbell is now a "Boston sports guy" Shortly after the Patriots drafted Campbell fourth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, he created some chuckles around New England when he expressed how surprised he was over the amount of trees in the area. As a southern boy, he thought Foxboro was part of Boston, and didn't think he'd see many trees when heading to practice. "People took that the wrong way, talking about my LSU education," Campbell explained of his tree observation. "Before I got drafted, the furthest north and east I had ever been was Atlanta. I thought the whole time this was in the city of Boston. It was a little different for me." Campbell has been doing some exploring to understand New England better, and will is will enjoy some time in Boston this weekend. If he thinks he's experienced traffic before, he's in for a surprise. While the traffic might be a nightmare, the sports scene and the region's pride for their teams is unlike anywhere else. Campbell and the Patriots recently met up with the Boston Celtics at their practice facilities, where they got to meet with head coach Joe Mazzulla and the Celtics brass. Campbell is most excited to become part of the Boston sports fraternity. Or as he put it, he's excited to become a "Boston sports guy." "I'm super excited to be a Boston sports guy now. Looking forward to going to a [Celtics] game next year; I've never been to an NBA game before," he said. "For that to be my first one next year, it would be hard to top that." Campbell also shared his takeaways from his first offseason program with the Patriots, plus his thoughts on playing for Mike Vrabel and protecting Drake Maye. Steelers' Will Howard says learning from Aaron Rodgers is 'invaluable'
There seems to be one thing that everyone knows about Aaron Rodgers – that we know nothing at all. To many in the media, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is a thorn in their side. To fans, he's the guy that won't walk away from the game even when they think he should. To others, he's just a great quarterback that is one of the best to ever play. Despite those differing views, teammates seem to love playing with Rodgers. The New York Jets gushed over the quarterback's presence on HBO's "Hard Knocks" and throughout his two seasons in the Big Apple. Quinnen Williams expressed frustration when the Jets released Rodgers, saying, "another rebuild year for me I guess," in a since deleted post on X. Williams' misfortune is to Will Howard's benefit, however. The rookie quarterback spoke glowingly about Rodgers' presence at Steelers mandatory minicamp in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Brian Batko. "He's been so awesome to me so far,' Howard said. "Obviously we've only gotten to be together for about three days, but I got a really good feeling about him and about this whole QB room. I think we already in this past week meshed really well, hit it off. I think we got a good vibe, good group." Howard added that Rodgers has been willing to help him in any way he can – something the 41-year-old had previously done for Jordan Love in Green Bay and Zach Wilson in New York. "Aaron has been so willing to help me," Howard said. "He's like, 'Literally, as much or as little as you want me to help you, I'll be there.' He's already given me tips, little things here and there – in the meeting room, on the field, in my drops, different little things. Obviously I can't do the things that he can do mechanically, so I don't want to replicate that too much because that's pretty unique. But, for the most part, everything I can learn from that guy is invaluable. So I'm like, dude, as much as you want to pour into me." While Howard won't win the starting job in training camp, he's eager to soak up as much knowledge as possible from the four-time NFL MVP in what could be his final season.
