'Decisive leadership': Nikki Haley, Mike Pence approve of Trump's 'Operation Midnight Hammer' on Iran
Nikki Haley and Mike Pence praised Trump's decision to attack Iran. Republicans who moved away from Donald Trump , including his vice president during his first term, Mike Pence , endorsed his attack on Iran, which was codenamed 'Operation Midnight Hammer'. Even Nikki Haley , the former US ambassador to the UN, and the Republican leader who did not endorse Trump ahead of the 2024 election, praised Trump's action against Iran -- while the Make America Great Again group remained split over Trump's decision to attack Iran. "Well done," Nikki Haley wrote to the president's announcement of completing a successful attack in Fordown, Nantanz and Esfahan in Iran. — NikkiHaley (@NikkiHaley) Mike Pence said Trump made the "right call" to deploy American forces to strike Iran's nuclear sits and he should be commended for his decision leadership. "Iran could never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. Thanks to the resolve of our Commander in Chief and the courage and professionalism of our Armed Forces, America, Israel and the Free World are safer as a result. Iran should now stand down and abandon any thought of retaliation against Americans or be prepared to face the consequences. Tonight President @realDonaldTrump proved again that the United States of America is the Leader of the Free World and America Stands with Israel. Thank You Mr. President and God Bless Our Troops," Mike Pence posted. 'This is not Constitutional' Rep Thomas Massie (R-KY), who repeatedly urged Trump to avoid getting dragged into the Israel-Iran war, said the president's bypassing the congressional authority to launch such military strikes was not Constitutional. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 임플란트 최대 할인 지원해드려요 임플란터 더 알아보기 Undo Republican leader Marjorie Taylor Greene said the Israel-Iran war was not a US fight. "Every time America is on the verge of greatness, we get involved in another foreign war. There would not be bombs falling on the people of Israel if Netanyahu had not dropped bombs on the people of Iran first. Israel is a nuclear-armed nation. This is not our fight. Peace is the answer," MTG wrote. Trump's former adviser Steve Bannon, who played a crucial role in Trump's Iran decision, was appalled by Trump's post-strike thanking of Netanyahu. Bannon said Netanyahu is the last guy to thank.

Telangana Dy CM emphasizes boosting non-tax revenue
Hyderabad, June 22 (UN) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who chairs the Infrastructure and Capital Sub-Committee, directed officials to give focused attention to increasing the state's non-tax revenue and optimising budgetary allocations. He made these remarks during a high-level review meeting held at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat, attended by Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, and senior officials. During the meeting, the Deputy CM emphasised that new welfare schemes worth Rs 33,600 crore are being implemented without halting existing schemes of the previous government. However, he pointed out that no revenue was received from Outer Ring Road or Excise during the 2023–24 financial year, highlighting the need to explore alternate revenue channels, especially non-tax sources and central funds. He instructed officials to rationalize departmental budgets, ensuring equitable distribution of funds. "Some departments are receiving more funds than needed, while others are underfunded. This imbalance must be corrected, and allocations should reflect actual needs and priorities," he stated. Bhatti Vikramarka also ordered the immediate completion of pending major infrastructure projects across all constituencies, stressing that rationalization and the completion of spillover works must be finalised within ten days. He underlined that revenue-generating sectors need special focus, and that all expenditures must be realistic, logical, and need-based. Calling on all departments to work with a public welfare mindset, the Deputy CM said that only balanced departmental development will ensure comprehensive growth for the state. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, and senior officials from various departments, an official statement said on Sunday. PM Modi speaks with Iranian President Pezeshkian, calls for de-escalation and dialogue
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian today, voicing deep concern over the escalating Iran-Israel conflict, particularly as New Delhi is concerned about rising tensions threatening regional stability. The 45-minute call, initiated by President Pezeshkian following US strikes on three key Iranian nuclear sites — Natanz, Isfahan, and the fortified Fordo facility, which Tehran claims are solely for civilian use — included a detailed briefing on the evolving situation. During the conversation, Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India's position. 'We discussed in detail the current situation. I expressed deep concern at the recent escalations. India reiterates its call for immediate de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward and for early restoration of regional peace, security and stability,' he said soon after the call.
