Four suspects sought in distraction theft in Innisfail, Alta.

Innisfail RCMP are looking for help to find four suspects connected to a distraction theft at a local jewelry store.
Mounties said at about 2:30 p.m. on June 12, four people entered the store and while three of them distracted the staff, the fourth was able to get into the back of the store.
He stole 'a substantial amount' of jewelry, police said.
All four suspects were captured on security footage and police are now seeking to identify them.

Police received a 911 and responded to the call on Beverley Street. 'An investigation revealed the accused entered the victim's residence while holding a hatchet, damaged property and stole several items,' police said in a news release Friday. 'The victim and the accused are known to one another. No physical injuries were reported. A warrant was obtained for the accused's arrest.' The man was arrested later the same day and charged with robbery, unlawfully being in a dwelling house and mischief under $5,000. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

London man charged in sexual assault of 12-year-old girl
A London man is charged with sexual assault after a 12-year-old girl was approached in a grocery store. Police said the girl was in a store on Ernest Avenue around 6:10 p.m. when she was approached by a non-familial acquaintance. According to police, the two had a conversation before leaving the store separately, but the man followed the girl. Not far from the store, in the area of Ernest Avenue and Lacey Crescent, police said the suspect sexually assaulted the girl with the incident being captured on video surveillance. The girl told her family about the experience, police were contacted and the suspect was found nearby. A 30-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age and sexual interference with person under 16 years of age.
