Kim Woodburn's family hit back at former co-star following 'hurtful' remarks
Kim Woodburn's family has responded to co-presenter Aggie MacKenzie's comments she made in the wake of her former co-star's death. The 'How Clean is your House' icon passed away earlier this week following a short illness at the age of 83. The TV legend sparked concern among fans earlier in the year after her management team confirmed she would be taking a step back from work duties after she was rushed to the hospital. Kim Woodburn's family have hit back at her former co-presenter Aggie MacKenzie for comments she made in the wake of the star's death. Pic: Philippe Hays/REX/Shutterstock Following the shock announcement, the 69-year-old paid tribute to her Channel 4 co-star, while also using the moment to shed light on their strained relationship. Aggie referred to her co-star as a 'tormented soul' following their lengthy feud and also accused her of 'pushing her to the ground.' Writing in 'The Sun' following Kim's passing, Aggie said: 'There were days filming together that felt like walking a tightrope. Pic: REX/Shutterstock 'And by the later series, I'll be honest – our relationship had almost completely broken down. We barely spoke off camera.' In another interview with The Mirror, Aggie also discussed the exact moment their friendship hit its final bump in the road. The alleged incident reportedly occurred while they were performing as the Ugly Sisters in a 2008 pantomime, with Aggie explaining: 'Kim missed her cue so I tapped her on the shoulder. We went on and did our scene, but when we came out at the other side, Kim was furious. She pushed me. She actually pushed me so hard that I fell over.' The TV legend sparked concern among fans earlier in the year after her management team confirmed she would be taking a step back from work duties after she was rushed to the hospital. Pic: Michele Martinoli/REX/Shutterstock 'I lost it then. I really really lost it with her. I was so furious because I wasn't expecting to be pushed over like that.' Kim then reportedly ran off to her dressing room 'crying her eyes out,' refusing to go back on stage. Now speaking out following the remarks, a close friend of Kim's husband Peter told The Sun: 'Peter is very hurt and upset that Aggie has used Kim's death as an opportunity to put herself back out there in public domain. 'A lot of things that Aggie has said are untrue'. 'Recollections may vary,' he added. 'Kim was asked in interviews many times about Aggie, but kept a dignified silence, out of respect for the great work they did together. 'Kim's friends and family find it upsetting that she couldn't do the same since Kim's passing.'

US singer Chris Brown pleads not guilty to ‘bottle attack' charge
R&B SINGER CHRIS Brown has pleaded not guilty to attempting to cause grievous bodily harm in an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub. The American musician, 36, is accused of attempting to unlawfully and maliciously cause grievous bodily harm with intent to Abraham Diaw at the Tape venue, a private members' club in Hanover Square, Mayfair, on 19 February 2023. Brown confirmed his name and date of birth before entering his plea, saying: 'Not guilty ma'am' during the plea and trial preparation hearing at Southwark Crown Court. His co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, who turned 39 today, denied the same charge. Both defendants are further charged with assaulting Diaw occasioning him actual bodily harm, with Brown also facing one count of having an offensive weapon – a bottle – in a public place. Sallie Bennett-Jenkins KC, defending Brown, told the court it has been difficult to discuss matters with her client while he is working. Around 20 people sat in the public gallery behind the dock for today's hearing, many of them fans of the singer. Advertisement A date for a five to seven-day trial was set for 26 October 2026. Brown had arrived at around 9am to a large group of photographers outside court, and walked in silence to the building's entrance. Brown arrived to a large group of photographers outside court. He had to pay a £5 million security fee to the court as part of the bail agreement, which is a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last month that Diaw was standing at the bar of the Tape nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle, and then pursued to a separate area of the nightclub where he was punched and kicked repeatedly. Brown was arrested at Manchester's Lowry Hotel at 2am on 15 May by detectives from the Metropolitan Police. He is said to have flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet in preparation for the UK tour dates. Brown was released from HMP Forest Bank in Salford, Greater Manchester, on 21 May. Shortly after being released from prison, Brown posted an Instagram story referencing his upcoming tour. The Journal / YouTube
