Pair of Georgia rivalry games gets major sponsorship
The Georgia Bulldogs have already announced that they will play a rivalry game at Mercedes Benz Stadium for each of the next two seasons. However, AMB Sports and Entertainment announced that Mercedes Benz will host more college games in the future.
This series of college games will be called the "Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic", and the 2025 Georgia versus Georgia Tech game will be the start of it. The aim is to "host powerhouse college football programs and storied rivalries on one of college football's biggest stages."
Georgia's game against Georgia Tech in 2025 will mark a memorable moment. It will be the first time the rivalry of "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate" has taken place in a neutral site. The matchup will occur on Black Friday, Nov. 28.
Additionally, The Bulldogs have never played the Florida Gators in Mercedes-Benz before. The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has taken place in Jacksonville for the past 18 years. Following the 2026 matchup in Atlanta, the two teams will meet again in Raymond James Stadium in 2027 before returning to Jacksonville, which is undergoing stadium renovations for the next couple of years, in 2028.
Georgia will earn $17.5 million in the next two years from this series. The Bulldogs will earn $10 million from the 2025 game versus Georgia Tech and $7.5 million for the 2026 game against Florida.
Kirby Smart is currently 7-4 all-time in Mercedes-Benz, but in 2024, he went 2-0, winning the season opener against Clemson and the SEC championship against Texas.

Georgia Bulldogs named as NFL's best duo at this position

The Pro Football Focus has ranked the best position duos in the NFL with four different former Georgia Bulldogs are making the list. Headlining the Bulldogs is Philadelphia Eagles defensive line duo Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. Carter flashed superstar status in the divisional playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams where he went for five tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. Davis on the other hand has been a key factor in the run defense for the Eagles that finished inside of the NFL top five and only allowed 101.8 rushing yards per game. Another Philadelphia Eagle is mentioned at linebacker Nakobe Dean. Dean is part of the top linebacker duo with Zack Baun. Dean was a key piece in the Eagles' Super Bowl run last season until his season was cut short by a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. Houston Texans and former Georgia Bulldog cornerback Kamari Lassiter is a apart of the best cornerback duo with teammate Derek Stingley Jr. Lassiter had an amazing rookie season. He was first in the league with completion rate allowed at 45.2% and second in the league in passer rating allowed at 59.7.

Coveted Playmaker Delivers Unclear Message on Georgia Ahead of SEC Visit

Coveted Playmaker Delivers Unclear Message on Georgia Ahead of SEC Visit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Georgia Bulldogs appear to be the favorite for one in-state highly touted receiver. But the recruitment is far from finished even with his commitment day less than a week away. Advertisement Four-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge indicated in a conversation with On3's Jeremy Johnson this week that he is truly undecided and keeping an open mind with every official visit. Dandridge will visit the Oklahoma Sooners this weekend. The receiver stressed he has liked the recruiting process. 'I mean, a lot of people wanna say like, they're like really pressured with all the thoughts, but, I'm just enjoying it all, man,' Dandridge said. 'I really took the time to like, just think like, I'm blessed to be in this situation at all. Being able to pick from these top schools, I can't go wrong.' Georgia Bulldogs football head coach Kirby Smart© Stephen Lew-Imagn Images While that's a great attitude to have, it's not necessary what the Bulldogs want to hear. Advertisement That's especially true of Dandridge's conclusion that he "can't go wrong" with his recruitment decision. The Bulldogs would prefer the Milton (Ga) Cambridge wideout feel that any choice but Georgia is the wrong one. Dandridge has a few more days to decide. The receiver will announce his commitment decision on June 26. Oklahoma will be the last school Dandridge visits before that commitment day. In addition to Georgia and Oklahoma, the receiver is also considering the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Tennessee Volunteers and Stanford Cardinal according to Johnson. The 247Sports Composite rankings rated Dandridge the No. 38 receiver and 26th Georgia prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. Advertisement Additionally, Dandridge is the No. 237 overall recruit in 2026. On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine projected Georgia as having a 35.6% chance of receiving a commitment from Dandridge.
