Georgia Bulldogs named as NFL's best duo at this position
The Pro Football Focus has ranked the best position duos in the NFL with four different former Georgia Bulldogs are making the list. Headlining the Bulldogs is Philadelphia Eagles defensive line duo Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis.
Carter flashed superstar status in the divisional playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams where he went for five tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. Davis on the other hand has been a key factor in the run defense for the Eagles that finished inside of the NFL top five and only allowed 101.8 rushing yards per game.
Another Philadelphia Eagle is mentioned at linebacker Nakobe Dean. Dean is part of the top linebacker duo with Zack Baun. Dean was a key piece in the Eagles' Super Bowl run last season until his season was cut short by a torn patellar tendon in his left knee.
Houston Texans and former Georgia Bulldog cornerback Kamari Lassiter is a apart of the best cornerback duo with teammate Derek Stingley Jr. Lassiter had an amazing rookie season. He was first in the league with completion rate allowed at 45.2% and second in the league in passer rating allowed at 59.7.

Seahawks' Sam Darnold dishes on what makes Cooper Kupp unique
The post Seahawks' Sam Darnold dishes on what makes Cooper Kupp unique appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Seattle Seahawks signed Cooper Kupp this offseason after moving DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They also brought in a new QB1, signing Sam Darnold to a big deal. Advertisement Darnold and Kupp will headline the Seahawks' new-look offense, and the signal-caller explained on The Rich Eisen Show why he believes Kupp is unique: 'Coop is amazing, the way he moves is very unique I think. Being able to get a ton of reps with him and just see how he kind of gets in and out of routes, like I said it's different. That's what made him such a great player, just the way you know he can make certain routes look the same and he ends up in completely different spot. It's very unique and he is different that way.' Kupp is a seasoned veteran, and he's one of the best route runners in the NFL. While the pass-catcher has dealt with a lot of injury problems in the past couple of years, he gets a fresh start in Seattle, the same state he grew up in and played college football at Eastern Washington. In 2021, Kupp was easily the best wide receiver in the league. He caught 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns, helping the Rams win a Super Bowl. If he can find that brilliance again with the Seahawks, it's going to do wonders for this team as they look to make a playoff return. Advertisement As for Darnold, he just had a resurgent campaign in 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings, which attracted the interest of Seattle. They traded QB1 Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders, who is set to reunite with Pete Carroll. Darnold and Kupp's potential chemistry will be key in the Seahawks' 2025 season. Health is important, but the reality is that they both need to be consistent. We'll see if that will happen.

1 Seattle Seahawks rookie who stood out most in 2025 minicamp
The post 1 Seattle Seahawks rookie who stood out most in 2025 minicamp appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Seattle Seahawks have entered a new era, and with it comes a new quarterback generating buzz. Sure, much of the NFL world has been fixated on the team's major roster overhauls and coaching changes. However, the early standout from 2025 minicamp is none other than rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe. In a city that's seen its fair share of quarterback legends, Milroe is beginning to carve his own identity. It's one that has the potential to reshape the Seahawks' future. Busy Brings Big Changes Coming off an upstart first season under Mike Macdonald, the Seattle Seahawks had a respectable offseason. The defensive-minded coach tabbed Klint Kubiak to replace Ryan Grubb as offensive coordinator to bring a more balanced approach. The personnel will look a bit different from when he was hired, though. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images The Seahawks traded Geno Smith to the Raiders and replaced him with Sam Darnold. Under Kevin O'Connell, Darnold revived his career in Minnesota. He comes with a lot more risk than Smith, but he also brings a higher ceiling if the system clicks. Advertisement Perhaps the most seismic changes came at wide receiver. Darnold won't have DK Metcalf at his disposal after the team traded him to the Steelers. They also moved on from long-time stalwart Tyler Lockett. However, the Seahawks mitigated these losses by signing Cooper Kupp. He's a player they know well from his years terrorizing Seattle defenses as a member of the Rams. His pairing with emerging star Jaxon Smith-Njigba gives Seattle a dynamic tandem for their aerial attack. Up front, the Seahawks sought to shore up their offensive line by drafting Grey Zabel in the first round. Seattle's interior line had its struggles, of course. Zabel's arrival brings stability and upside to protect whoever lines up under center. On the defensive side, Seattle doubled down on their strength. The addition of veteran pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence further bolsters a unit that ranked third in pressure rate without blitzing (36.5 percent) in 2024. Yes, Lawrence may be entering more of a rotational phase in his career. That said, his experience and leadership are invaluable. The team also added safety Nick Emmanwori to inject athleticism and versatility into a secondary that helped the Seahawks finish sixth in Defense+ last season. Yet for all the high-profile moves Seattle made, it's one rookie quarterback who's commanding much of the attention at minicamp. All Eyes on Jalen Milroe Entering the 2025 draft, few expected Seattle to invest heavily at quarterback after acquiring Darnold. Yet when Jalen Milroe's name was called, it signaled that the Seahawks are thinking both short- and long-term. Milroe is only the third quarterback Seattle has drafted since 2010. That fact alone speaks volumes about how highly the franchise thinks of him. Advertisement From his first minicamp practice, Milroe has approached the NFL transition with professionalism and poise. He and fellow rookie Will Rogers, an undrafted free agent, were immediately thrust into a traditional pro-style offense during drills. It notably avoided designed quarterback runs, even though Milroe rushed for 20 touchdowns during his final season at Alabama. This wasn't an accident. Seattle clearly wanted to see how Milroe would handle the cerebral demands of NFL quarterbacking. Throughout the sessions, he was tasked with calling plays in the huddle and delivering cadences at the line. He also executed under-center dropbacks and made multiple reads through progressions. He did all those while maintaining precise timing and rhythm on his throws. Showing Poise and Promise The results? Encouraging, to say the least. Sure, Milroe still has technical areas to refine as a passer. However, he showcased an ability to operate within structure and make sound decisions. He displayed composure, quick processing, and a willingness to push himself outside of his collegiate comfort zone. Advertisement Behind that early success is plenty of hard work. Milroe has been training extensively with renowned quarterback coach Jordan Palmer for over a year. This detailed attention to footwork and balance is already paying dividends. Palmer's tutelage has given Milroe a foundation to build from as he adapts to the pro game. His compact release, improved pocket movement, and growing confidence are already becoming evident to both coaches and teammates. A Work Ethic That Stands Out Beyond the mechanics, what's perhaps most impressive is Milroe's mental approach. Teammates and coaches alike have praised his attention to detail and willingness to ask questions. Quarterbacks coach Kerry Joseph noted that Milroe is one of the first players in the building each day and often among the last to leave. Matt Pendleton-Imagn Images That level of preparation is exactly what Seattle hoped for when they invested in him. Milroe's athletic gifts were never in question. Still, it's his commitment to mastering the finer details that could ultimately separate him. The Future Is Bright in Seattle While Sam Darnold remains penciled in as the Seahawks' starting quarterback for 2025, Jalen Milroe is already making a case to be the franchise's next long-term answer under center. His early showing at minicamp has not only validated the front office's decision to draft him but has also injected a new wave of optimism among Seattle's fan base. With his rare blend of athleticism, humility, and work ethic, Milroe's developmental arc will be one of the league's more fascinating stories to watch as the season progresses. For now, he stands as the clear rookie standout of Seattle's 2025 minicamp—and perhaps the face of the Seahawks' future.

Steve Roberts-Imagn Images After a fruitful college career, Mosley took his talents to the NFL. He was drafted 17th overall by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2014 NFL Draft. He got off to a hot start in the NFL with the Ravens, making the Pro Bowl in four of the five seasons he spent with the franchise. He was also a four-time All-Pro with the Ravens and won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2014. Advertisement Mosley spent 2014-18 with the team before becoming a member of the New York Jets in 2019. His first season with his new team did not go as planned, as he only played in two games because of a groin injury. He then opted out of the 2020 NFL season. However, he returned in 2021 and made a significant contribution on defense. He followed up the 2021 season by making the Pro Bowl in 2022. The injury issues resurfaced last season, with Mosley missing 13 games due to a neck injury and losing the starting job at middle linebacker. Mosley recorded 1,083 total tackles, 55 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, 12 interceptions and 10 forced fumbles. Advertisement Alabama is now led by head coach Kalen DeBoer, who went 9-4 in his first season with the program. The Crimson Tide has recruited well under DeBoer, with the head coach holding the No. 10 overall 2026 recruiting class on On3 Sports. Recent recruiting news for Alabama includes the commitment date for target Deacon Schmitt, and the Crimson Tide was also named a finalist for edge rusher Khamari Brooks.
