In a recent candid chat, when we asked Anupria Goenka about the actor she wants to romance on screen, she said, 'Ranbir Kapoor.' She added, 'I have never worked with him or even met him, but I think he is a fabulous actor.
He also has a charm that makes his co-actors comfortable. Imagine doing a romantic song with him in a sari!'
Talking about her love for saris, the actress shares, 'I love saris, they make you feel feminine and complete. I have worn them to the most unexpected places. Once, I wore a sari to a pub. I had come from a function wearing one of those heavy saris, and I ended up going to a pub after that. I was, of course, a little conscious because I was the only one wearing it.
I just grabbed the gher, tucked in my pallu and danced on Ghoomar (from Padmaavat).
Later, people came up and complimented me.'
In an earlier chat with us, Anupria opened up about how the digital boom gave a push to her acting career. She said, "I am really happy to have got an opportunity to play these prominent roles in films like Tiger Zinda Hai, Padmaavat, War among others. Likewise, I also got to play some promising parts in web shows like Aashram, Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side, Criminal Justice and The Final Call.

OTT did play a big role in shaping up my career.
I got to play such diverse characters on these shows, which somehow went on to become the flagship shows of their respective platforms. This resulted into my OTT identity becoming so strong today. Had the OTT space wouldn't have opened up, all of us actors would have been feeling far more restless and anxious. With the digital medium, one can see an overnight success. We can show our talent, reach out to the masses with web shows. I stopped acting in ads because there's so much work in the digital space. Otherwise when I started off, for the first five years, ads gave me my bread and butter."

Papon's ghazal night strikes a chord on World Music Day
On World Music Day, Papon captivated Mumbai's Shanmukhananda Hall with a concert blending soulful melodies and playful banter. He performed ghazals and popular hits, showcasing his poetic side and engaging the audience with humor. The evening felt like an intimate gathering, filled with laughter, song requests, and heartfelt connections, highlighting Papon's respect for poetry and his fans. On the occasion of World Music Day, singer-composer Papon delivered an unforgettable evening of soul-stirring melodies and hearty laughter at Mumbai's iconic Shanmukhananda Hall. Known for Bollywood hits like Bulleya (Sultan), Humnava (Hamari Adhuri Kahani), Kyon (Barfi!), and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage (Dum Laga Ke Haisha), Sunday's concert showcased a more intimate, fun and rather poetic side of the singer, one that all ghazal aficionados cherished deeply. Almost every seat of the three floors of the auditorium was occupied as his fans were treated to a carefully curated setlist. The entire hall sang in perfect pitch, prompting Papon to ask in disbelief, 'Shanmukhananda mein audience audition dene ke baad aati hai kya?' Requests kept pouring in, and Papon responded to as many as he could. At one point, he said with a laugh, 'You all are shouting together. At my hometown, fish market sounds like this! I will try to sing all these for you.' When someone requested Baavle Jharne, he was visibly moved: 'Yahan kaise kaise log aaye hain? You know Baavle Jharne also? I didn't expect this. It's one of my favourite tracks. When people ask for such songs, it is so beautiful. ' In a particularly touching gesture, he walked to the edge of the stage and sat down to serenade a fan holding up a poster, turning the concert into a moment of pure connection. His self-deprecating humour along with his infectious laughter gave the evening the feel of an intimate mehfil. 'Lag raha hain hum ghar pe gaa rahein hain but this is an auditorium, and we have to stop the performance on time. Kabhie ghar pe bulaiye then we can sing all night long!'
