will inaugurate the National Conference of Estimates Committees of Parliament and state legislatures at Vidhan Bhavan on Monday. Birla will also release the 75th Anniversary Souvenir of the Estimates Committee of Parliament.
CM Devendra Fadnavis, DCMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Legislative Council chairperson Ram Shinde, Assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar, and chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Estimates Dr Sanjay Jaiswal will speak at the session.
Estimates Committees are empowered to scrutinise utilisation of funds allocated to a particular area in the budget, and the committee is an important parliamentary/legislative oversight committee.
During the two-day conference, chairpersons and members of Estimates Committees of Parliament and state legislatures will brainstorm on the theme, 'Role of Estimates Committee in effective monitoring and review of budget estimates for ensuring efficiency and economy in administration.'
Governor CP Radhakrishnan will deliver the valedictory address on Tuesday at the conference.

Maha: Fadnavis takes dig at Rahul Gandhi over Make in India
Nagpur, June 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday took a dig at senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for having no knowledge of the 'Make in India' initiative. Talking to reporters after reviewing various projects here, he claimed that Rahul Gandhi does not even know what is the Make in India. "Rahul Gandhi does not know what is being built in the country, so he does not know Make in India. When the Congress was in power, India's economy was the 11th largest in the world. However. in last 10 years, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world," the CM said and asked Rahul Gandhi to do his homework on this.
