Free agent Cedric Alexander is reportedly a significant person of interest for TNA Wrestling following his departure from WWE earlier this year. A new report from PWInsider.com has shed light on the situation.
According to the report, there's been a lot of talk about TNA interest in Alexander with some believing he may be starting soon for the company. While the deal is not yet official, the report shareda sense of optimism about the possibility.
PWInsider noted that they haven't been able to 100% lock down that he's coming in, but where there's smoke, sometimes there is indeed fire. Many people would agree that Alexander's in-ring talent, he would be a great fit for the current TNA roster.
Alexander was released by WWE in February 2025, after a period of being used sparingly on television. His 90-day non-compete clause has since expired, making him free to sign with any promotion.
Alexander's WWE journey began memorably with the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic. His performance in the tournament, particularly in a standout match against Kota Ibushi, drew chants of "Please sign Cedric" from the live crowd, ultimately leading to him receiving a WWE contract.

He went on to become a cornerstone of the 205 Live brand, culminating in him winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in a tournament final at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.
His most prominent main roster success came as a member of the dominant heel faction, The Hurt Business. Alongside MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin, Alexander thrived, capturing the Raw Tag Team Championship with Benjamin during the group's impressive run.
Known for his incredible athleticism and smooth in-ring style honed in promotions like Ring of Honor before his WWE tenure, Alexander is seen by many as a perfect fit for TNA Wrestling's dynamic X-Division or as an immediate contender in their main event scene.
There has been a lot of speculation that he would be coming into AEW to join MVP, Lashley and Benjamin as the group now includes MJF. The theory was that MJF would be kicked out by a debuting Alexander. However, that doesn't seem likely now. Regardless, Alexander will be a good fit for any promotion that he signs with.

Kevin Durant Deal Expected To Get Less Value Than Desmond Bane

Kevin Durant Deal Expected To Get Less Value Than Desmond Bane originally appeared on Fadeaway World. The 2025 offseason is in full swing, and yet one of the league's biggest potential moves is shaping up to be far more underwhelming than expected. Despite being a two-time NBA champion, former MVP, and one of the most gifted scorers in league history, Kevin Durant might be traded for less than what the Memphis Grizzlies just got in return for Desmond Bane, a player who has never made an All-Star team. Advertisement According to ESPN's Tim Bontemps, league executives believe the draft capital that Phoenix can expect in a Durant trade will not surpass the haul Memphis received in the blockbuster Bane deal. "In speaking with several sources Sunday in the wake of the Bane deal, the universal belief is that any draft packages going to Phoenix in a Durant deal likely won't surpass the haul of draft picks coming to Memphis for Bane, who hasn't yet made an All-Star team." That Grizzlies-Magic trade, which included Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cole Anthony along with four unprotected first-round picks and a pick swap, sent shockwaves around the league. But instead of setting the market for Durant, it has exposed a hard truth: age, leverage, and timing have dramatically reduced the 35-year-old superstar's value. Advertisement 'In speaking with several sources Sunday in the wake of the Bane deal, the universal belief is that any draft packages going to Phoenix in a Durant deal likely won't surpass the haul of draft picks coming to Memphis for Bane,' Bontemps reported. One anonymous executive put it even more bluntly. 'Everyone has to throw their prior precedents and baselines out. Those deals don't mean Durant is worth 12 firsts now.' Just 28 months ago, the Brooklyn Nets extracted Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, four first-round picks, and a pick swap from Phoenix for Durant. Now, with Durant reportedly willing to sign a contract extension with only three teams, the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and Miami Heat, his value has plummeted. The limited pool of preferred destinations has narrowed Phoenix's leverage dramatically, and it's showing. Advertisement Complicating matters further, teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves remain interested but are unwilling to part with key young players. Minnesota is reportedly not including Jaden McDaniels in any Durant discussions. The Raptors remain in the mix, along with the Clippers, but none appear eager to mortgage their futures the way Phoenix once did. At the heart of this collapse in trade value is context. Durant, now 36 when the 2025–26 season tips off, has dealt with multiple injuries over the past few years and has not made it out of the second round since leaving the Golden State Warriors. There's also the perception that Durant may demand another trade if things go south in his next stop, further limiting long-term value for acquiring teams. Advertisement It's a surreal turn for a player who was once considered the most untradeable asset in basketball. But this is the modern NBA. Desmond Bane, a tough, ascending two-way wing without an All-Star nod, just fetched a bigger haul than Kevin Durant might. Whether that's a reflection of Durant's regression or the league's shifting valuation of youth and control, one thing is clear: the era of blockbuster returns for aging superstars is fading. And Kevin Durant is finding that out the hard way. Lamar Jackson's Appearance at Camp Shows Commitment to Ravens

Lamar Jackson's Appearance at Camp Shows Commitment to Ravens originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL in Lamar Jackson, and he feels that he deserves to be paid as such. Advertisement Jackson is not a free agent until after the 2027 season, but he is only the tenth-highest paid quarterback in the NFL in terms of annual salary. As a result, the team expected him not to make an appearance at camp. But that was not in fact the case. According to multiple reports, the 28-year-old field general was at mandatory minicamp, which would have been a prime time for him to hold out and demand a larger contract. But he showed up to many people's surprise, and this shows just how committed he is to leading this team to a win in the Super Bowl. The Ravens selected the former Louisville quarterback with the last pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he has already become one of the best players in their history since then. Advertisement He has already won two Most Valuable Player awards and been named First Team All-Pro three times in his seven seasons in the league. Even though he has been with the team for seven years, he only became the team's full-time starter in his second season. Jackson is committed to bringing the Ravens their third Super Bowl win in franchise history. As a result, the team is likely to give him the pay day that he deserves very soon. Notre Dame continues its search for a 2026 left tackle as they offer Charlie Thom

While Notre Dame football has four current offensive line commitments in its 2026 class, there is not true left tackle in the bunch. The Irish are trying to convince Grayson McKeogh to join, with is coming off his official visit form this past weekend. Notre Dame is battling Texas and Penn State for his commitment, but that doesn't mean that they're putting all their eggs into the McKeogh basket. Advertisement On Tuesday the Irish offered another left tackle prospect, Connecticut's Charlie Thom. The 6-foot, 6-inch and 275-pounder isn't ranked at the moment by the 247Sports Composite, but has a very good offer list which includes the Nittany Lions, Michigan State, Nebraska, and others. Thom has taken official visits to see PSU and Boston College, but has yet to lock in a commitment date. If Notre Dame is able to get him on campus for an official visit, they could very well be jumping to the top of his list. This is a recruitment to watch, as the Irish aren't going to be left looking for another tackle prospect if they miss out on McKeogh.
