Writer and director Matt Reeves created a fascinating version of the Caped Crusader with 'The Batman' in 2022.
The realistic and gritty aesthetic, combined with excellent performances from its entire cast, has been met with critical acclaim and even Academy Award nominations.

This sentiment continued with the HBO Max spin-off series 'The Penguin' starring Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti. Not only was it widely popular with fans, but it also garnered awards for both its leads.
Needless to say, fans are clamoring for more of Reeves 'The Batman' universe. And according to 'The Penguin's showrunner, they will likely get it.
Collin Farrell took home the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for his role in The Penguin. The star was full of praise for actors who have previously played Batman villains.

During an appearance on Deadline's Crew Call, 'The Penguin' executive producer and showrunner Lauren LeFranc revealed that more spinoffs based on Matt Reeves' 'The Batman' universe could be on the way, saying that they were in the "early stages."

Additionally, LeFranc spoke to what could potentially be in Season 2 despite it being intended as a limited series.
"Beyond Colin (Farrell), it depends on whether there's a story that we can make richer than what we've already done," LeFranc said.
"I'm in the process of exploring what that would be, if there will be more."

While the news about spinoffs is certainly exciting, fans are still waiting for an update on 'The Batman: Part II.'
The first film garnered $772.3 million in the box office while also earning Oscar nominations for Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
Despite this amount of success, there have been very few official updates on 'The Batman: Part II,' including what the actual title may be.
At this point, the only thing known about the film is that Robert Pattinson will reprise the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman as well as the return of Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot AKA The Penguin.

Love Island USA Season 7 Claims Over 1 Billion Minutes Streamed

is taking over our lives yet another summer, and we can't be mad about it. Season 7 is riding the high of last year's fan-favorite group of Islanders, and they had big shoes to fill. Thankfully, the singles came to Fiji with a mission — make connections and stir up a little drama. From Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown's whirlwind relationship to Ace Greene and Amaya Espinal's frenemy-ship, there's been a lot to take in so far. Apparently, fans are so obsessed with Love Island that we're watching a record-breaking amount of episodes. In a span of less than a week, Love Island USA had 1.2 billion minutes streamed across the nine episodes available, Deadline reports. Luminate looked at streaming minutes from June 6 to 12 to determine the total. It's the second most-watched streaming show on TV. So, fans are obsessing over tuning in to see what tricks Ariana Madix has up her sleeves next. That definitely makes us feel better about our TV watching habits. It's hard to believe that fans have already watched a billion minutes, and the season hasn't even been on for three weeks yet. That means thousands of people have witnessed antics like Taylor Williams bursting out of his straps after being seduced by Olandria Carthen. It's also a whole lot of people who have seen Huda crash out. Yikes. It took Season 6 nearly a month to crack a billion minutes viewed, so Season 7 is off to a strong start. Surely, with the way things are going in the villa these days, it won't take us long to rack up another billion minutes on this season alone. Love Island USA Season 7 is available to stream on Peacock. TELL US – ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE TUNING INTO LOVE ISLAND SEASON 7? DO YOU PREFER SEASON 6 OR 7 OF THE SHOW SO FAR? Owners Bring Home Saint Bernard, Poodle Mix—Shock at What She Grows Into

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. When bringing home a young, mixed-breed puppy, owners can only imagine what their canine will look like as an adult, which left one family with a bigger fur mess than they expected. A family didn't know what to imagine when welcoming home a Saint Bernard and poodle mix, also known as a Saint Berdoodle. This hybrid is known to be a friendly and affectionate yet protective dog, according to an article from Dogster. These gentle giants make a great family dog, especially as they are hypoallergenic. Given the dog's lineage, the owners planned for a large dog breed, but a March 16 Instagram video posted to the account @yourfriendmarley showed how they underestimated her size. The text on the video reads "when two worlds collide," accompanied by images of the two dog breeds. The product was Marley, a giant fluff baby. About 93 pounds later, their dog was fully grown, and their home was filled with endless fur. Marley stood up with her front paws propping her on the kitchen counter. She stood as tall as the man in the background. Her entire body was covered with luscious, curly hair that looked like a cloud. Newsweek reached out to @yourfriendmarley via Instagram for additional information and comment. Screenshots of two popular dog breeds, a Saint Bernard, left, and a white poodle. Belova Veronika and RS-photography/Getty Images Like any dog, there's plenty of upkeep when it comes to a Saint Berdoodle. The owner wrote in the comment section that Marley receives six cups of food daily and a biscuit, "plus anything she sneaks." Their coats vary. Some might be medium and thick with curly hair, or long and wavy like a Saint Bernard's coat. But either way, daily grooming is essential to avoid any knots. Viewer Reactions The Instagram video amassed over 12.7 million views, 555,000 likes and 4,356 comments as of Friday. "He needs to start paying rent," joked a viewer, while a second wrote: "I thought it was AI." Another added: "That ain't no dog that's a horse." Someone else commented: "I'm a dog groomer and I think I'd die on the spot if that walked in." While many were stunned by the dog's mane, others expressed concern about breeding these two dogs together, claiming many hybrid mixes come from unethical breeders and are prone to health or behavioral issues.
