A key ally of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni gave the clearest hint yet of high-level backing for Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA 's effort to buy Mediobanca SpA.
The Monte Paschi-Mediobanca deal 'could merge a specific characteristic of our economy — that is, small and medium enterprises — which Monte Paschi has represented very well in recent years through a very active management, along with an investment bank,' Marco Osnato, the head of the economic department in Meloni's Brothers of Italy party, said in an interview.

FTC to Review Omnicom Group's Acquisition of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG)

As a leader in the advertising and marketing services sector, The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (NYSE:IPG) remains one of the best marketing stocks to buy right now. On June 12, 2025, it was reported that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) may restrict the merged entity of Omnicom Group-The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (NYSE:IPG) from withholding ad placements on media platforms for political purposes. This move stems from growing concerns regarding fairness and competition in the digital ad market caused by corporate America's political biases. (NYSE:IPG) will compete with the biggest names in the industry, such as WPP and Publicis, as a result of the merger. The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc.
