Comedian to bring Edinburgh Fringe show to Oxford
A comedian nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2023 will take his newest show on the road later this year.
Ian Smith will tour the UK with his latest stand-up hour, Foot Spa Half Empty, from the end of 2025 until March 2026.
The show will arrive at The Glee Club in Oxford on February 26, 2026, after Mr Smith takes it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival later this year.

Ian Smith will perform in Oxford next year (Image: Matt Stronge) Foot Spa Half Empty explores Mr Smith's attempts to relax, his Northern identity, and the everyday stresses of life.
Mr Smith, who grew up in the north of England but has spent years living in London, jokes about the tension between his roots and his slow drift towards the middle-class.
The show has been described by Fest, who awarded it four stars, as "an outstanding and stressed-out hour of stand-up".

He is the co-host of the Northern News podcast and is also a regular voice on BBC Radio 4.
His 2023 Edinburgh Fringe show, Crushing, was named one of The Guardian's Top 10 Comedy Shows of the year and one of British Comedy Guide's Top 50 Shows of 2023.
His tour will begin at Soho Theatre in November and continue until March next year.

Mark Titus rips ESPN for ruining NBA Finals with too much Stephen A. Smith: ‘This guy's awful'
It's apparently open season on Stephen A. Smith. Barstool's Mark Titus teed off on the polarizing ESPN personality and also ripped the company for making its coverage of the Thunder-Pacers NBA Finals too Smith-centric. 'I would have zero problem with anything Stephen A. Smith is saying or doing if he wasn't on NBA Finals broadcasts,' Titus said on 'Mostly Sports with Mark Titus and Brandon Walker' on Thursday. 'The fact that ESPN has appointed him to be one of the voices you hear when you tune into the NBA Finals, that's the only problem I have. 'You're allowed to talk s–t. … If you try to avoid the Stephen A. bulls–t, and you're like, 'You know what I want to do? I love basketball so I want to watch the two best basketball teams compete for the highest honor in professional basketball.' If you choose to do that, you're going to get Stephen A. in your face. Former ESPN host unleashes scathing Stephen A. Smith attack
Former ESPN host Jason Fitz didn't like Stephen A. Smith's comments about Memphis — and called him out for it. Fitz, who worked on ESPN's digital side and the radio, claimed that Smith is often unprepared during an appearance during an appearance on 92.9 ESPN in Memphis on Tuesday following the 'First Take' host's controversial comments on the Tennessee city. Smith said on the show that while Memphis is a great sports town some NBA starts don't feel safe there., 'But there's an element there where cats like Jimmy Butler and others don't feel it's the safest environment. I'm talking to the local authorities in Memphis,' Smith said. 'You've got to clean some of that stuff up because it's dissuasive to NBA players. They have talked about it. I know. They've told me.' Fitz responded by calling out Smith's preparedness.
