How Was Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai's Chemistry On Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam Sets? 'Love Was In The Air'
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai's Hum...Dil De Chuke Sanam was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film hit theatres in 1999.
When Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai worked together on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 1999 movie Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam, their on-screen chemistry impressed everyone. But do you know what their equation like behind the camera? In a recent interview, Bhansali opened up about the same and revealed that 'love was in the air' when they all were shooting for his iconic film.
'Yes, there was love in the air. But not just between them; there was a lot of affection among all of us. Zohra Sehgalji, Helen Aunty, Salman, Aishwarya, Vikram Gokhale, Smita Jayekar—we were like one big family. I don't think I've had such a fulfilling experience shooting any other film," the filmmaker told ETimes.
Bhansali further remarked that he does not see such equations between actors now. 'Today, it's purely professional. And honestly, I'm fine with that. Times have changed," he added.
Interestingly, Salman was dating Somy Ali during that time. Last year, Sony was speaking to Times Now, when she claimed that the closeness between Salman and Aishwarya grew while they were shooting for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
'The shoot (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) was going on when I called up Salman but he didn't pick up. Then I called Sanjay Leela Bhansali and he said, 'He can't speak to you right now because he's in a shot'. I was like 'If he's in a shot, why aren't you directing it? Why are you picking up my phone call?' The logic defied me. He was cornered by me and didn't know what to say," she said.
'Later, Aish started coming to Salman's gym where we were living. Salman and I used to live on the ground floor of Galaxy where we had a gym also," Somy continued and then added, 'Aishwarya and Salman fell in love during the shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I was getting information from the servants inside who favoured me. I knew in my heart that their relationship was something that's gonna blossom. I knew it was time for me to leave."
Reportedly, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai broke up in 2002 and did not work together again after that. In a 2012 interview with Simi Garewal, Aishwarya addressed her tumultuous break-up with Salman and said, 'I think I have quite shut it out. I think I wouldn't want to get into looking at it any which way and especially on a public platform. I really wouldn't want to."
Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007. They welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in 2011.

Salman Khan casually reveals he has brain aneurysm, AV malformation: ‘Iske bawajood kaam kar rahe hain'
Salman Khan made a roaring comeback on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Saturday, becoming the new season's first guest. Beating all rumours of an unfit look, Salman looked the most fit he's looked in months; however, he is still suffering from severe health issues. Salman Khan will be the first guest on the new season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. During the episode, Salman spoke very casually about all the diseases and struggles he's living with. He was asked about getting married by host Kapil Sharma, when the actor spoke about how hard it is to build wealth and how easily a woman might take it all with her after a divorce. He said that he is working at 59 years old despite many health issues and doesn't have it in him to start from scratch anymore, in case the 'wife' decides to take 'half his money.' 'Hum ye jo daily ki haddiyan tudwa rahe hain, pasliyan toot gai, trigeminal neuralgia ke sath kaam kar rahe hain, aneurysm hai brain mein uske bawajood kaam kar rahe hain. AV malformation hai, uske bawajood chal rahe hain (I'm out here breaking my bones every day — ribs are fractured, I'm working despite having trigeminal neuralgia, there's an aneurysm in the brain, yet I'm still working. There's also an AV malformation, and still, I'm carrying on),' he said. 'All of this is going on in my life. Aur jahan unka mood satka, woh aadha humara leke chala gaya. Ye younger age mein hota toh theek tha, phirse kama lete. Ab wapis se… (And the moment their mood soured, they will take away half of what I had. Had this happened when I was younger, it would've been fine — I could've earned it all back. But now, starting over again…)' Salman has previously spoken about trigeminal neuralgia at a Dubai event for his movie Tubelight in 2017. He said that he was suffering from a painful facial nerve disorder, also called the suicide disease because many patients develop suicidal tendencies. What is trigeminal neuralgia? Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic nerve condition causing sudden, severe facial pain, often described as electric shock-like. It affects the trigeminal nerve, which transmits sensations from the face to the brain. Pain typically occurs on one side of the face—around the jaw, cheek, or eye—and can be triggered by simple actions like brushing teeth, chewing, or even wind. What is brain aneurysm? A brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain caused by a weakened vessel wall. It often develops silently and may not show symptoms unless it ruptures. A ruptured aneurysm leads to bleeding in the brain, called a hemorrhagic stroke, which can be life-threatening. What is AV malformation? An arteriovenous malformation (AV malformation or AVM) is a rare defect in the connection between arteries and veins, usually in the brain or spine. In a normal system, arteries carry blood to tissues and veins carry it back. In an AVM, this network is tangled, and blood flows directly from arteries to veins, bypassing capillaries. This can cause bleeding, seizures, headaches, or neurological issues. AVMs are often congenital and may not show symptoms until a rupture occurs, which can be dangerous.

'Mujhe itna dar laga…': When Salman Khan warned fans not to follow his ‘Tere Naam' character
Salman Khan 's portrayal of Radhe in the 2003 cult classic Tere Naam remains one of his most talked-about performances. But behind the intensity and heartbreak of the character was a very real fear, not for himself, but for his fans. Earlier Salman revealed in a conversation on Aap Ki Adalat, how deeply uneasy he felt about playing Radhe, a tragically obsessive lover. 'Mujhe itna dar laga, ki maine socha mai ye nahi karunga,' he admitted, reflecting on how the disturbing nature of Radhe's character made him reconsider even taking up the role. 'Don't Be Like Radhe,' Warns Salman Salman went on to explain that Tere Naam marked the first time in his career where he had planned how to promote the film before shooting even began. His message was clear: 'Ye picture zaroor dekhna, but is character ko kabhi follow mat karna' — watch the movie, but don't imitate the character. Calling Radhe a 'loser,' Salman highlighted how the character destroys his own life in blind obsession over a girl. 'Yeh ek ladki ke piche pagal ho raha hai aur apni zindagi barbad kar diya… age badho life me,' he urged his fans. He feared that Radhe's extreme actions like stalking and emotional turmoil might be misinterpreted as signs of true love by impressionable viewers. Reel vs. Real: Style, Not Substance Salman's hairstyle, fashion, and intense expressions in the film became iconic — aspects Salman said fans could follow. But he stressed drawing the line between on-screen dramatics and real-life behavior. Coming to present, Salman Khan was recently seen in the action entertainer film 'Sikandar' which received mediocre reviews from the audiences. The movie was directed by AR Murugadoss. Salman Khan opens up about his health struggles: "Trigeminal Neuralgia tha..Aneurysm hai brain me uske bawajud kaam kar rhe hai"
Salman Khan, better known as the bhaijaan of the industry, has always been known for her strength and swag. The moment you hear his name, the first thing that comes to mind is power, muscular physique, and India's most charming eligible bachelor. However, what a lot of people don't know is that behind this super-beast personality, the actor has been dealing with multiple painful health conditions. Yet, like a true showman, he never lets his pain come to his face and works on the philosophy, 'the show must go on.' The 'Bajarangi Bhaijaan' actor had earlier opened up about dealing with multiple serious conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia, a brain aneurysm, and arteriovenous malformations. More recently, during his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, he again referred to his health struggles in a fleeting comment. Here's what Salman Khan said about his health issues It all started with the million-dollar question that has been a friend and a foe of Salman Khan for decades - 'Is there any girl in his life?' On a lighthearted note, Salman replied, there is no one in his life, and in all fairness, he doesn't have the patience to make all those sacrifices and endure the husband-wife quarrels. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo He is at a stage where he enjoys his space, which he wouldn't like to share with anyone. Then he jokingly added, 'Divorces happen over minor things, and on top of that, he takes away half the money. ' Salman continued that the fortune that he had made with so much hard work, despite several health issues, he could not see half of it going away, as it would be difficult to build again. He said, 'So hum ye jitni bhi haddiyan tudva rahe hai, pasliyan toot gayi, trigeminal neuralgia tha uske bawajud kaam kre, aneurysm hai brain me uske bawajud kaam kar rhe hai, AV malformations hai, uske bawajud chal rhe hai..
