Robinson joins Northants as Breetzke replacement

Northamptonshire have signed New Zealand international Tim Robinson on a short-term deal.
The 23-year-old batter joins the County Championship side as Matt Breetzke's replacement after the South Africa international was called up for the Proteas' upcoming Test series against Zimbabwe.

Northamptonshire head coach Darren Lehmann described it as "a real like-for-like replacement".
Robinson will be available for four T20 Blast fixtures in July as well as two County Championship matches, starting with their meeting with Middlesex on Sunday.
"He's a strong young man; he hits the ball big and opens the batting in white ball," Lehmann told the club website.
"He looks like a really good player, so fingers crossed he gets some runs for us and plays well across both formats."

While most Red Sox fans disapproved of Rafael Devers' shipment from Boston to San Francisco, manager Alex Cora apparently didn't mind the deal. ESPN's Jeff Passan reported Friday that while Devers felt that he was 'lied to and betrayed' by the Red Sox, Cora supported the front office's decision to trade the 28-year-old star. Cora is in his seventh season managing Boston, joining the team in 2018 during Devers' second year in the big leagues. The Red Sox won the World Series that year and, up until this week's trade, Devers was the lone player remaining from the championship-winning roster. Cora was already facing a challenge as the team's manager to stay competitive while also getting reps in for top prospects like Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell and Marcelo Mayer.
