Tollywood's Vijay Deverkonda made his Bollywood debut with 'Liger' alongside Ananya Pandey in 2022, with the film being promoted extensively across India. However, the Puri Jagannadh directorial ended up disappointing audiences, and the film was a flop at the box office.
In a throwback interview reported by The News Minute, Vijay shared his thoughts on Liger's failure and how he chose to deal with it. Despite entering the project with high hopes and confidence, the actor admitted that the final result left him embarrassed.
His quote reads, "I have decided that for the next three films, I am going to shut my mouth and let my work speak for itself. It is a self-inflicted punishment because I embarrassed myself."
Before the film's release the 'Geetha Govindam' actor had stated that his film would collect Rs 200 crore, but the film failed to mint good numbers.
During the pre-release event of his film, 'Family Star', he spoke about how he made a statement that his film 'Liger' would make Rs 200 crore and he was advised not to make such claims which makes him look arrogant. However, he mentioned that making such claims is not wrong. He said, "What's wrong is me claiming that my film will make Rs 200 crore, but failing to do so.

He will be next seen in the spy action thriller 'Kingdom' which is announced to be released on 4 July, however, there is buzz that the film will be delayed as no promotional content has been shared by the makers as the release date closes in.

Jaideep Ahlawat confirms role in 'King', credits SRK's intervention, says ‘who could say no to him?'
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has officially joined the cast of the much-awaited film 'King', starring Shah Rukh Khan and marking the on-screen debut of his daughter Suhana Khan. Speaking about the development, Ahlawat revealed that it was Shah Rukh Khan himself who played a pivotal role in securing his presence in the project, overcoming the initial hesitation of director Siddharth Anand. In a recent interview with Lallantop, Ahlawat confirmed that Anand was initially reluctant to cast him due to the limited scope of the role. However, Shah Rukh Khan's conviction proved decisive. 'SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time, as far as I know. But Siddharth (Anand) bhai was a bit hesitant to offer it since it was a small role after 'Jewel Thief'. But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said, 'I'll talk to him.' Now, who could say no to him?' Ahlawat shared. Reflecting on his rapport with Shah Rukh Khan, Ahlawat spoke fondly of their first meeting on the sets of 'Raees', where they worked together for several days. Despite their brief interactions — estimated between five to seven occasions — the actor recalled always being made to feel special. 'I really like him. In all my interactions with him — in the five to seven times we've met — starting from Raees, where I shot with him for four to five days, and even after that, whenever we met, he always made me feel like I was the closest person to him,' he said. 'He's a wonderful human being. He has some amazing qualities. Every time I've met him, he's made me feel important,' Ahlawat added. King is one of the most hotly anticipated Bollywood films slated for release next year. Not only does it feature the return of Shah Rukh Khan after a successful run with Pathaan and Jawan, but it also marks a significant moment in his personal and professional life — sharing the screen for the first time with his daughter Suhana Khan.

India's biggest flop film, even Amitabh h Bachchan failed to save it, film earned just Rs...., lead actors were....
Sometimes when a movie is released, and if it is helmed by a known director, has a massive budget, and features a star-studded cast, it is expected to be a superhit. However, the ingredients that are said to be the right formula for success don't always work. Similarly, when director Shaad Ali decided to make Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, fans thought the same. However, things turned out to be completely different. After the successful run of Saathiya and Bunty Aur Babli, director Shaad Ali decided to make another film, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The movie was produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films and was one of the most anticipated films. Interestingly, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom had a talented star cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol, and Lara Dutta, with Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance. The soundtrack was among the top-selling albums of 2007, yet Jhoom Barabar Jhoom underperformed at the box office and turned out to be one of the year's biggest disappointments. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Budget and Box Office Collection According to media reports, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom was made for Rs 25 crore. However, the storyline fell short for the audience, and it only earned Rs 27 crore net in India and Rs 38 crore worldwide. After Jhoom Barabar Jhoom flopped, Shaad Ali took a seven-year hiatus from filmmaking and made his directorial comeback with Kill Dil. Starring Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra, and Govinda, the film also failed to impress at the box office. Despite having music composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics written by Gulzar, the film could not resonate with the audience. Some of the hit tracks from the film are Bol Na Halke Halke, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, and more.
