The BBC reality series Stacey & Joe, follows husband and wife, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, as they navigate their busy lives with a houseful of children and animals. The fly-on-the-wall series first aired at the beginning of April, and has seen the ups and downs of the couples from award wins to therapy sessions.
The BBC Factual team has now announced that the Solomon-Swash clan will be returning for a second season of the heart-warming and transparent series. The announcement comes following the last episode of the first season airing last night, Tuesday May 6.

It is said that the cameras are set to return to their home of Pickle Cottage, with the release date on BBC One and BBC iPlayer to be confirmed later this year. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter .

The decision to recommission the series stems from the initial success with viewers. The series launched to an audience of 4.2 million on BBC One, with more than a third of viewers tuning in on demand, making Stacey & Joe the sixth biggest Factual series on iPlayer over the last year.
The series follows the couple who got married in 2022 and their five children, Rex, Rose and Belle and from Stacey's previous relationships Zachary and Leighton. Not forgetting their two dogs and four ducks, life at Pickle Cottage is undoubtedly chaotic.

The six episodes included in the first season show Stacey winning an NTA for her series Sort Your Life Out, their eldest son Zach moving on to college and Joe Swash trying to understand his ADHD better. The series is one of the most honest celeb documentaries as it shows the pair's relationship highs and lows, bickering and all. Read our review of the series here.
Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have shared their excitement for the new season. They told the BBC: 'The biggest thank you to every single person who watched the first series of Stacey & Joe... We've been so grateful for all the lovely messages and we're so excited to bring out another series with the BBC.'
It is said that filming for the second season is underway and the next six episodes will include another family trip, balancing busy work lives and even more family milestones.

The finals episode of season one sees the family get in to the festive spirit for Hanukkah and Christmas 2024, as they all gather round for Friday night dinner with Stacey's family and Joe Swash takes on Dunstable panto. After some New Years fireworks, the last moments of the episode even tease the new season.

After a clip saying "Coming Soon", we see footage of a family ski trip to Switzerland, which the pair posted on their social media platforms in February of this year.
Stacey shared on Instagram: "The family who ski together - probably won't talk to each other for a few weeks now. I'm joking (but not) it's been the most special, tiring, adrenaline pumping, crazy week. I can honestly say everyone is exhausted but the BEST memories have been made. So grateful to have been able to take my pickles skiing."

Oscar Branning to return to EastEnders after eight years

Oscar Branning, the son of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner), will be played by Pierre Moullier. The now 17-year-old Oscar was previously portrayed by Gabriel Miller-Williams, Neo Hall and Charlee Hall. Moullier's debut comes as on-screen father Max, played by Jake Wood, is also rumoured to return later in 2025. Moullier said: 'It's pretty surreal to join EastEnders – it keeps hitting me that I'm actually on Albert Square. 'When I found out I was joining the Brannings, it was so exciting as they are such an iconic family, and I love that there are so many skeletons in the closet. Kneecap Glastonbury performance 'not appropriate', Starmer says

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said he does not think Kneecap's planned Glastonbury Festival performance is "appropriate".He made the comments after Kneecap member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh appeared in court charged with a terror offence, relating to allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah at a gig in November last an interview with The Sun, Sir Keir was asked if he thought the trio should perform at Glastonbury, to which he replied: "No, I don't, and I think we need to come down really clearly on this."This is about the threats that shouldn't be made, I won't say too much because there's a court case on, but I don't think that's appropriate." Mr Ó hAnnaidh, charged under the name Liam O'Hanna, was released on unconditional bail after Wednesday's hearing at Westminster Magistrates' prime minister's comments came after Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said she thought the BBC "should not be showing" Kneecap's performance at the festival next said in an X post, which was accompanied by an article from The Times that claimed the BBC had not banned the group: "The BBC should not be showing Kneecap propaganda."One Kneecap band member is currently on bail, charged under the Terrorism Act."As a publicly funded platform, the BBC should not be rewarding extremism."Responding to the Tory leader's comments, a BBC spokesperson said as the festival's broadcast partner, it "will be bringing audiences extensive music coverage from Glastonbury, with artists booked by the festival organisers".They added: "Whilst the BBC doesn't ban artists, our plans will ensure that our programming will meet our editorial guidelines."Decisions about our output will be made in the lead-up to the festival."
