Arnold Schwarzenegger "hated" Sylvester Stallone until they went into business together.
The action stars had animosity towards one another at the height of their success in the 1980s and 90s but when the Fubar actor was launching his Planet Hollywood restaurant chain, he was approached and asked if his rival could be part of the venture, and he realised it was time to end the "craziness" between them.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's Radio Andy, Arnold, 77, admitted: "We hated each other.

"We were kind of attacking each other and doing nasty things and saying nasty things about each other and all these stupid things.
"All of a sudden, I started working with Robert Earl and Keith Parish to create the Planet Hollywood franchise, those restaurants.
"The next thing I know is I get a phone call from my lawyer, who was also Sly's lawyer, he said, 'Arnold, is there any kind of room for Sly in Planet Hollywood?' "

The Terminator actor recalled thinking: "That's actually a good idea, because it could bring us together. And I wanted that. At that point I had grown out of my craziness."
The restaurant chain launched in 1991 in New York City with the backing of the future Expendables co-stars and other famous faces, and Arnold is proud of how they "made it work".
He added: "Sure enough, we made it work.

"And Bruce Willis became part of Planet Hollywood, Whoopi Goldberg became part of Planet Hollywood, Chuck Norris... It really was kind of an international cast."
Arnold and Sylvester, 77, are now friends and recently reflected on how their rivalry was "very helpful" to both their careers.
In a joint interview for 'TMZ Presents: Arnold + Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons', the former Governor of California said: "There's no two ways about that: He was very helpful in my career because I had something that I could chase.

"[I was] the one who started this whole thing ... by opening up my mouth, saying stupid things, being competitive."
Sylvester added: "[When Arnie] came along I was like finally, something to motivate me. Because he is, dare I say it, competition, a threat, whatever word you wanna use.
"As soon as I saw him it was like bang, two alphas hitting. If we walked into a party we'd be staring at each other for a few seconds and then 'I gotta get that guy. He didn't do anything wrong but he will.' "

Pele's abandoned mansion taken over by nature and left damaged by vandals

Pele's abandoned mansion taken over by nature and left damaged by vandals Content creators filmed the inside of Pele's abandoned mansion after the Brazilian icon's death in 2022 and found the property to be in a significantly run down state Pele passed away at the age of 82 on December 29, 2022 (Image: Getty Images ) Content creators have filmed the interior of Pele's mansion following the football legend's death, revealing the property to be in a state of significant disrepair. The Brazilian superstar rose to fame in 1958 at just 17 years of age when he clinched his first of three FIFA World Cups with Brazil. The forward had an illustrious career, spending 18 years with his childhood club Santos before moving to the United States to play for the New York Cosmos, where he retired in 1977. ‌ After hanging up his boots, Pele became a global ambassador for football and supported numerous charitable causes. However, his health took a toll as in 2021, he fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with colon cancer. ‌ After undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy, he sadly passed away in December 2022 at the age of 82. His cause of death was multiple organ failure, a complication from his previous cancer diagnosis. The football pitch in the garden can barely been seen because of the overwhelming foliage (Image: @lucaoyt/Youtube ) The swimming pool is riddled with algae (Image: @lucaoyt/Youtube ) Article continues below The Santos icon's last but one residence was a million-pound mansion on Pernambuco Beach in Guaruja, boasting a football pitch, swimming pool, tennis court and bar, reports the Mirror. In 2024, influencer Lucas Wesley and two of his content creator friends gained access to the property. Wesley, who uploaded the 90-minute video on TikTok in October 2024 which amassed over 2.5 million views, claimed they were able to enter the property after discovering the garage door slightly ajar. The influencer took to Instagram earlier this month to reshare the footage he'd captured, leading to renewed attention on his discoveries on social media. He relayed that there was no response from within the property and that it appeared vacant. ‌ The footage captured the totality of the poor state of Pele's mansion (Image: @lucaoyt/Youtube ) "Getting to know this place and seeing up close everything that once belonged to Pelé is indescribable," Wesley said. "For anyone who is a football fan and knows Pelé's history, they would certainly be moved by everything there, just as we were." Yet, he conveyed his emotional distress upon witnessing the dilapidated state of the property, which is under the care of Pele's son Edinho. "[It was] dirty and vandalised," he lamented. "For us fans, it leaves a truly sad feeling." ‌ Pictures featuring the football icon were still seen in the home (Image: @lucaoyt/Youtube ) Wesley's video showcased the garden's football pitch, engulfed in foliage, and a swimming pool beset with algae, imbuing the water with a greenish tinge. Edinho's legal representative, Augusto Miglioli, countered claims that the property is abandoned, asserting it's merely an inheritance from Pele. Significant undergrowth concealed parts of the estate, gates bore the signs of rust, and spiders' webs enveloped corners of the structure. Miglioli issued a stern warning to Wesley and his companions about potential civil and criminal repercussions. ‌ Collections of CDs, books and posters were clattered across the floor (Image: @lucaoyt/Youtube ) The bar structure remained standing in the mansion (Image: @lucaoyt/Youtube ) Lawyer Thyago Garcia has clarified the legal definition of an abandoned property, stating that it's not simply about the building being unoccupied or in disrepair. "The mere deterioration, lack of maintenance, or even being unoccupied for a long period of time does not suffice to describe it as legally abandoned," Garcia said. Article continues below He further explained that just because a property can be accessed through unlocked doors or open windows, it doesn't give anyone the right to enter without the owner's permission. Content cannot be displayed without consent "Possession and ownership are protected by law regardless of property condition," he added. The mansion in question, which now stands neglected, was once a vibrant venue where the football legend entertained friends and celebrities in parties and gatherings.

Lizzo ditched Ozempic and 'worked really, really hard' to lose weight The 37-year-old pop star has been sharing updates from her weight loss journey and she has now revealed she briefly used the controversial medication to help her shift some pounds, but she gave up and focused on improving her diet instead. Lizzo (Image: AFP/Getty Images ) Lizzo ditched weight loss drug Ozempic and instead "worked really, really hard" to slim down. The 37-year-old pop star has been sharing updates from her weight loss journey and she has now revealed she briefly used the controversial medication to help her shift some pounds, but she gave up and focused on improving her diet instead. ‌ During an appearance on the Just Trish podcast, Lizzo explained: "I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full." ‌ She added of the medication: "It's not easy. It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with. I think people ... it's their way of being fat phobic when you're telling someone they're cheating. "But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing." Lizzo went on to reveal her biggest breakthrough came when she ditched her vegan diet. Article continues below She said: "What did it for me is, it was not being vegan. Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. "I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full. But really I was consuming 3,000-5,000 calories a day ... "So for me, when I started actually eating whole foods and eating like beef, and chicken, and fish. Like, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up." ‌ She added of making healthy changes: "I feel like I worked really really hard and it was intentional with what I did with my body. "So when I get compliments, I go: 'Thanks b****.' Like I really receive it because I need to receive that. I don't take it any weird way because I tried to do this.'" It comes after Lizzo admitted she previously used food to "distract" herself when she was battling anxiety issues, but she's managed to boost her mental health using meditation. ‌ In a video posted as a TikTok Live, she explained: "I've been working to get my anxiety under control for years. And then I decided that I want to release and I'm ready to stop waiting to be myself like fully and be happy. "And I meditated. I calmed myself down. And I isolated a little bit, but not like made myself lonely, not the way I used to when I was depressed. I isolated myself in a mindful way where I had no distractions. "I loved to distract myself with people. I loved to distract myself with food. I loved to distract myself with drinking. I loved to distract myself with problems that I would create. I would love to do that. And I stopped doing that. And I just focused on me." Article continues below In the video, Lizzo also spoke about her weight loss admitting she stopped drinking "two to three" large Starbucks drinks a day and swapped sugary treats for savoury snacks. She said: "I do something sweet. It's gotta be with some sort of like carb. I'll have like almond butter and toast. So, everybody's body is different. "Find out what works for you ... [I believe the only thing that] works across the board, science-wise, is calories in versus calories out. "That's just how the human body works."
