Russia detains airport worker plotting sabotage for Ukraine – FSB (VIDEO)
A Russian citizen working at the international airport in Sukhumi, the capital of the Republic of Abkhazia, has been detained on suspicion of cooperating with Ukrainian military intelligence and preparing an act of sabotage, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Tuesday. According to the FSB, the 45-year-old suspect was employed as a specialist in the airport's engineering and technical service. He allegedly maintained contact with a representative of Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) and passed on work-related information. The man was arrested in cooperation with Abkhazia's state security service. The agency said the suspected was preparing to hand over schematics of the facility to Ukrainian intelligence services in order to facilitate a potential sabotage attack. 'The individual proactively planned to transfer layout diagrams of the Sukhumi international airport and its adjacent restricted-access parking area – used to receive official international delegations – to the adversary,' the agency said. During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to collaborating with Ukrainian intelligence and said he had already carried out several assignments. He also admitted to gathering intelligence on visits to Abkhazia by senior Russian officials. 'In March 2025, an unknown person contacted me via Telegram,' the suspect said in a video released by the FSB. 'He said he had found me through anti-war and anti-Russian online groups and invited me to join the fight against the regime. I agreed and proactively suggested organizing an explosion at the VIP parking area in Sukhumi.' A criminal case has been opened under the article of espionage. Earlier the same day, the FSB announced the detention of another Russian citizen in Krasnodar Region. He is accused of preparing a terrorist attack at an administrative building linked to the region's energy infrastructure. Authorities also claim the suspect shared information with Ukrainian special services about the movements of Russian Black Sea Fleet vessels. On Monday, the FSB detained two Russian nationals suspected of planning a sabotage attack on a defense industry facility in Moscow Region. The men were arrested while attempting to smuggle explosive devices, disguised as power banks, onto the premises.

UK ‘100%' helping Ukraine to stage terrorist acts
There is no doubt that Britain is helping Ukraine to carry out terrorist attacks inside Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said. There have been several sabotage incidents on Russian railways since the start of the month. The worst occurred on June 1 when a bridge collapsed in front of a moving passenger train in Bryansk Region, killing seven people and injuring more than 100 others. The same day, Ukraine targeted Russian airbases across the country – from Murmansk in the Arctic to Irkutsk in Siberia – in a coordinated assault which involved explosive-laden drones taking off from commercial trucks. According to Moscow, most of the incoming UAVs were shot down, and none of the affected Russian planes were damaged beyond repair. Speaking during the 'Forum of the Future 2050' in Moscow on Monday, Lavrov acknowledged that the 'risk of the rise in the level of terrorist threat exists' in Russia. 'It is obvious that all this is being done by the Ukrainian side, but it would have been helpless without the support... from the British,' he said. Such activities were previously backed by both the US and the UK, but 'now we would have to do solely with the British,' Lavrov claimed. The diplomat was referring to the fact that the UK remains one of Ukraine's staunchest supporters, despite the US changing course under the administration of US President Donald Trump towards trying to restore dialogue with Moscow and to broker a peaceful settlement of the Ukraine conflict. 'Although who knows, maybe there are still some special services in the US that are participating in such activities by inertia, but the British are 100% involved in them,' Lavrov stressed. Last week, Moscow's ambassador to London, Andrey Kelin, similarly accused the UK of participating in Ukrainian drone raids on Russian airbases. 'This kind of attack involves, of course, provision of very high technology, so-called geo-spatial data, which can only be done by those who have it in possession. And this is London and Washington,' Kelin told Sky News. He added that he did not believe that the US was somehow involved due to Trump denying any knowledge of Kiev's plans. Downing Street has neither confirmed nor denied the UK's participation, with a government spokesman saying: 'We never comment on operational matters at home or abroad.'

Ukrainian terror plot targeting Russian military plant busted
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained two Russian nationals suspected of planning a sabotage attack at a defense industry facility in the Moscow region, the agency announced on Monday. The suspects allegedly established contacts with representatives of a known Ukrainian terrorist organization in Russia, the FSB said. The men, acting independently, reportedly made contact via the Telegram messaging app and secured jobs at one of Moscow's defense enterprises to carry out reconnaissance. They are accused of photographing key infrastructure at the facility and sending the images to their handlers. According to the FSB, the suspects retrieved components from pre-arranged caches and assembled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) with the intent of disrupting operations at the plant. They were detained while attempting to smuggle the devices onto the premises. Both men have reportedly confessed to carrying out terrorist assignments aimed at halting the plant's activity. The devices were reportedly disguised as power banks, one of the suspects said in a video released by the FSB. 'I was supposed to place them on two installations, but I only delivered them and was detained afterwards,' he said. The other suspect said he had been recruited 'to conduct surveillance and sabotage operations,' including tracking engineering infrastructure and photographing license plates of unknown vehicles. 'Then I was ordered to carry out a sabotage act.' The investigation to determine the full extent of the sabotage plot, collect evidence of potential high treason, and identify those who orchestrated the attack, is ongoing, according to the agency. Last week, the FSB detained two women accused of working on behalf of Ukraine. One allegedly collected intelligence on air defense systems near the Crimean Bridge for Kiev. The agency also reported the arrest of a 59-year-old man in Crimea who it has accused of assembling an improvised explosive device, under instructions from Ukrainian handlers.
