Diomande was introduced as a substitute and stepped up to take the decisive penalty in the shootout after the sides couldn't be separated in regulation time.
He made no mistake, slotting the ball past opposition goalkeeper Dayne St Clair, who did get a slight touch before it hit the back of the net.

Diomande played 54 times for Rangers last season, scoring six goals and assisting nine.
New head coach Russell Martin would like to keep the Ivorian and his midfield colleague, Nicolas Raskin, at the club this summer if possible.
"We have to try and keep our best players," said Martin of the pair.
"And I think we're all really aligned with that.
"So, unless things come in that really help the club to build and move forward, I don't think it's a necessity to do that at all. That's my understanding of it.
"And we've all been really clear on it. So we'll just have to wait and see. But I'm looking forward to working with those guys."

Celtic star stunned by Rangers legend in red-faced return to action against minnows

Alistair Johnston has back on the grass for Canada after missing his crucial spot kick at Hampden against Aberdeen Alistair Johnston had another nightmare on his return to action as 77-year-old former Rangers boss Dick Advocaat pulled off a shock against Canada. The Hoops defender missed the crucial final penalty in the Scottish Cup Final which meant Aberdeen won the trophy at Hampden last month. ‌ He was nursing a minor back injury and recently tied the knot with new wife Peyton before heading off on honeymoon to St Lucia. ‌ But it was on another Caribbean he returned to action this weekend at the Gold Cup against minnows Curacao, who are now managed by Advocaat, after he came out of retirement for the fifth time to take charge of his eighth international country earlier this year. But after coming on as a late sub, he gave the ball away to former PSV Eindhoven striker Jeremy Antonisse deep into injury time who netted to claim a remarkable 1-1 draw in Houston and kick off off scenes of celebration for the tiny nation. Advocaat - who has now managed the Netherlands three times, Belgium, Russia, Serbia, South Korea, Iraq, UAE and now Curacao - said: "That was a great achievement for us to get a draw against a huge country like Canada. But it was the least we deserved and credit to the players." Canada had gone ahead inside the opening 10 minutes thanks to Nathan Saliba's early strike but Antonisse grabbed a goal in the fouth minute of added time to spark wild scenes. The result leaves Canada top of the section with four points from two games and Curacao currently sit third with two points on the board. They trail Honduras in second spot in the section by a point. Read more: Frigan is back in his home town of Rijeka for the close season and broke his silence there on reported interest from Russell Martin's side. He said: "Rangers? That style of league would suit me. I think I'm a player for that type of football. "I know about the interest from clubs, it's good to hear and read such things, but we'll see. Nothing has been decided yet. "Things are in the hands of my agent and when there is something more concrete, we will know. We will weigh everything up and choose the best option. "I have a good season behind me, some clubs are contacting me, but we will see what is best. "I can't say that I am not enjoying it in Belgium, on the contrary, but a change of environment is always good. "Nothing is ruled out and we will see what happens in this transfer window. "I'm in no hurry and there's plenty of interest in me. Of course, that makes every player happy. "I've got a lot more stronger in Belgium.
