Diomande was introduced as a substitute and stepped up to take the decisive penalty in the shootout after the sides couldn't be separated in regulation time.
He made no mistake, slotting the ball past opposition goalkeeper Dayne St Clair, who did get a slight touch before it hit the back of the net.

Diomande played 54 times for Rangers last season, scoring six goals and assisting nine.
New head coach Russell Martin would like to keep the Ivorian and his midfield colleague, Nicolas Raskin, at the club this summer if possible.
"We have to try and keep our best players," said Martin of the pair.
"And I think we're all really aligned with that.
"So, unless things come in that really help the club to build and move forward, I don't think it's a necessity to do that at all. That's my understanding of it.
"And we've all been really clear on it. So we'll just have to wait and see. But I'm looking forward to working with those guys."

But it was the least we deserved and credit to the players." Canada had gone ahead inside the opening 10 minutes thanks to Nathan Saliba's early strike but Antonisse grabbed a goal in the fouth minute of added time to spark wild scenes. The result leaves Canada top of the section with four points from two games and Curacao currently sit third with two points on the board. They trail Honduras in second spot in the section by a point.
